It was a bad gameplan against a front like that and without Pro Bowler O-linemen like Bakhtiari and Jenkins -- where were the 3 step drops? Quick slants? We saw none of that. It was drop back, slow developing isolation routes like the old McCarthy days. Outclassed, outcoached and outplayed all around.
Those quick slants are veteran qb plays. Presnap reads and really quick decisions. You guys are right where you need to be. 2-2 isn't bad at all. Your defense will improve assuming a bit better work against the run. You're going to have to run the ball a lot more to give Love a fair shake. I think he can be a good qb. Think Geno Smith. Solid. @slipjones2 If you run the ball more, that can help the defense. The defense sells out to get pressure on the qb. If they play with more balance they will look better. It's still early, I think the Pack will have a pretty good year. 8 wins. Maybe 9.

Not a packers fan but do these reporters and journalists think before they speak or ask a question? Repeatedly asking vague generic questions that appear to have little creativity or thought provoking within them. I appreciate when the media asks well thought out questions that results in a unique response from the coaches. I’d get annoyed too especially after a loss at home on prime time to a divisional opponent that played more physicality and defeated you in all three phases. Like ask something interesting or a question that allows him to compliment or praise a player for their effort, performance or leadership. Maybe no such thing as a dumb question however asking questions that are obviously frustrating and likely already know the answer to is incredibly inconsiderate and insulting. Poorly asked or thought out questions deserve answers of the same quality. Then everyone gets offended and plays couch quarterback.
This is the same old defense that Arod had. A defense that can't stop the run. All that 1st round pick invested on defense, and they are playing like a bunch of 7th rounders. Terrible coaches and GM

The lions are a good team and I know thats hard to believe but lets get real here they arent great or Superbowl bound and the Packers were simply out coached by a hard nosed Coach , not a coach who wants to be a players friend and play favorites but a coach that wants to see the organization succeed . Most of what Matt says is different than what he puts on the field on game day .... Vanilla on both sides of the ball ..

Look at all those wasted years, going to the playoffs and losing 📉 Name me a better coach after Holmgrenn, Mc Crappy hell no. How long are we going to keep LaFool, the 80s all over again
Maybe if the packers were more concerned with building a good football team instead of catering to fringe woke ideology, they put forth a better product.... Which is playing football.
Matt is a coddling Mother, instead of fixing the problems he'd rather not hurt any feelings and just let the team lose. The Lions also changed what they were doing.... For the worse, in the 2nd half. If they kept their foot on the gas they probably would have scored a lot more points
Nothing changed, the Packers ran the nickel on running downs in the first half and they did the same in the second half. When ever Detroit wanted to they ran the ball off tackle. Huge gaps you could drive a truck through in the first half and in the second half. Don’t care about the offensive we have a new starting QB.

People are being such a doomer’s about the Packers Rodgers first season. The Packers went 5-11 literally the youngest team in the NFL and yet the way our schedule looks, we could still sneak into a wildcard berth. Please just shut up this was a bad loss, but it’s not the end of the world not by a long shot.
Yep. I’m damn happy with the Packers right now. We’re sitting at 2-2, Jordan Love is looking pretty good, and tbh the rest of the season outside of a couple games looks quite favorable in terms of strength of schedule. Long term, Packers look promising. And maybe in the short term, GB might be competing for a wild card spot.
6-10 but yes your point is well made. This is and was always going to be a rebuilding year for the Packers. We are a couple years away from being a legit postseason threat.
Same story into another year. When will anyone have the balls to say that Matt can’t call a game? No flow, no creativity, no adapting to what the other team allows you to do. The packers struggle under his leadership. Jordan is not the answer at QB, he’s highly inaccurate passing. Doesn’t know where to put the ball in certain situations. Doesn’t know when to check out of things. The packers got booed yesterday and it was justified. They stink. All that talent and they are just a mess
Jordan Love played hard. No one is missing Rodgers whining on the sidelines. Detroit is the better team, and they are coached better. The Lions deserved to win. Rodgers didn't beat the Lions last year either.
YUP! These offensive gurus get EXPOSED when they don't go 17-0 with a new starting quarterback, and one of the youngest teams in the league. Growing pains, what the fuck is that?

They played just as flat as the last time they played the Lions. Kind of becoming Matt's M.O. Campbell has pretty much joined Shanahan in the ranks of coaches Matt has no clue how to game plan for. Excellent win for the Lions.
To be honest, I actually kind of appreciated that....in the sense that it shows he really cares about his team & hates to be embarassed by his team being so thoroughly dominated. I would take a coach that is so passionate about his team that he sheds tears over getting a beat down than a coach that shows no emotion & acts like he couldnt care less. That is coming from a Lions fan too.
@jamiethomas7463 At the very end of the halftime interview when he was finishing the last sentence, he literally sounded like he was fighting back tears and he kind of turned & bolted before he actually started to cry. I don't think he would have gotten another word out without actually crying though.
Dan Campbell did this his first season he was crying after the game was over I believe it was his fourth or fifth game in the season just means he got passion for his job and a coach that care. I have a good feeling that Detroit will be seeing them in the playoffs more than then likely Green Bay going to be a wild-card team
@scooter5940 yeah. I just feel for him. He has been easily our best defensive player this yr. Him and Gary are really the only 2 that are playing at a all pro type level. And then he does that. We would have been only down 13 with the ball. Instead we go down by 17 and a additional 2 min off the clock. Just a horrible look on him and he was once again the only guy doing anything on defense. I would like to know why we haven't extended Gary yet and fired Joe Barry. Not sure how many more games they need to see teams running the ball down our throats before they move on. It's only been like 2 yrs and 4 games now.
@@packers12to80 not to defend Barry as I think he should have been fired after last season. And, a team is never 100% healthy, but this will be a different team with Alexander and Stokes at corner. That will allow them to cheat the running game a lot more, by dropping a safety in the box or run blitzing. Campbell would help with that, too. When you are playing guys names Valentine and (worse) Ballantine at corner, Barry seems hesitant to expose them by selling out to the run - even though he kind of has to.
Matt calls the plays. He needs to be realistic about what this offense can do. His offense line is now a weakness. His QB, TE, and WR’s have limited experience. And he comes out with six straight passes, and no touches for Aaron Jones until it’s 24-3. That’s just ridiculous. You caould see Love had little time to throw and the passing game is a work in progress. I realize the running game is not working well this season but sometimes he just needs to settle this young team down and take the pressure off his QB.

Lions may just win the North by then or maybe a couple of weeks after Thanksgiving!
LaFleur isn't used to getting beat by competitive teams until the post-season.

Hey I'm a Packer fan but that shit was funny.
That's a funny statement. I think the Packers got crushed by San Francisco and Tampa in the regular , just to name a couple recent Superbowl contenders.
Everyone NOT in Michigan cannot understand how great this win,/season feels. We've never been legit. This is a joy we've never felt. We're just so proud.. and excited for the future for once.🔥🏈🦁
Unless you're a Lions fan that doesn't live in Michigan lol
It's a great win. Michigan is a garbage state. Glad I left. But I'll be at Ford Field next Sunday. Probably gonna enjoy my coney island more than the Lions whooping Carolina
He is beginning to feel the chair is getting hotter. 12 isn't around anymore to distribute the criticism and the blame. The next 15 months will be very interesting.
Thats a BS coaching job!
Then everyone gets offended and plays couch quarterback.
that's sports journalism to a T, ask inane questions that tell you nothing or prod until someone shows humanity and you can make headlines out of it.
IIRC, that question was from Pete Doughtery. He's kind of a dingus but overall *as a reporter* I like him.
They wouldnt have jobs if they asked real questions. Same as a journalist that speaks the truth today
In Green Bay if you don't bleed green and gold they don't let you in
End the agony.
Fire Mark Murphy.
Well don't want questions like that have better play calling and don't get behind 27-3 at halftime
This is the same old defense that Arod had. A defense that can't stop the run. All that 1st round pick invested on defense, and they are playing like a bunch of 7th rounders. Terrible coaches and GM
TRUE .. this is on Goudadunce
Packers need a coach who doesn't wear lgbtq hats
I know this comment is 6 months old, but you've got to feel like an absolute dumbass right? like the entire NFL was wearing those 'intercept cancer' hats. Imagine having LGBTQIAA+++ live so rent free in your brain that the moment you see a bunch of different colors together you get triggered lol.
LaFleur deserves everything he gets with this; he's so one-dimensional in his coaching. He consistently out-coached.
Not really he always out coaches McVay, Taylor and Eberflus.
I don't think Love is the answer for the Packers. We need to get rid of dead weight...ie bahktarai and get a better qb😢
Also get rid of QUAY FKING WALKER!!!!!!++
Hard win win without a HOF QB.
Yall got gifted 2 touchdowns. B.s. penalties for the first touchdown and then the free play with the clock expired. The game wasnt even close. The NFL was trying to save face
True .. GB gets every ghost call you can come up with, and without Karen it ain't gonna be enough anymore.
Time to fire everyone
These press conferences are useless anyway. Everyone saw what happened. I’d just answer every question with

Is that a "gay pride" logo on his hat? I thought they were done with the politics and social issues stuff.
So what's the excuse now against the Raiders with piss poor playcalling. Fire this man so he can join his brother Peter laFleur on average Joe's dodgeball team
The linebacker who got the penalty is a fool
Lions fans forgetting we play them twice this year. Be humble because the packers could be much more improved on offense.
Lions are no joke..they can compete with the best" I'd put my money on them even against the 49ers..Dan Campbell is great coach..
Packers should do what the Bucks do
When your #1 seed and you lose in the 1st round to a last seed, why are you still there.
Look at all those wasted years, going to the playoffs and losing 📉
Name me a better coach after Holmgrenn, Mc Crappy hell no.
How long are we going to keep LaFool, the 80s all over again
Green Bay got crushed, absolutely crushed. The only time Love looks decent is during garbage time.
Maybe if the packers were more concerned with building a good football team instead of catering to fringe woke ideology, they put forth a better product.... Which is playing football.
Matt is a coddling Mother, instead of fixing the problems he'd rather not hurt any feelings and just let the team lose. Joe Barry shouldnt have a job, Love is not a starting QB and his % was Worst in League before last night, even with the padded Bears stats. But this losing season is what its going to take to get him, Barry and hopefully Gute fired.

Packers are toast. Love is a bust. Lafleur is now exposed without AR.
Love the passion, much respect to LaFleur from a Lions fan and that was a BS question.
What if Jordan was in San Francisco? He’d be a Brock Purdue. MLF
rode Aaron’s coat tail. He has been exposed. Packers failure is on him.
The answer to the question. Not good preparation for a good team
Love averages 55% completions rate
Yikes
Why do we wait until half time to change and start changes when we are behind 27 points.
Shouldn't there be a backup plan to switch to if the first plays didn't succeed?
The Lions also changed what they were doing.... For the worse, in the 2nd half. If they kept their foot on the gas they probably would have scored a lot more points
Nothing changed, the Packers ran the nickel on running downs in the first half and they did the same in the second half. When ever Detroit wanted to they ran the ball off tackle. Huge gaps you could drive a truck through in the first half and in the second half. Don’t care about the offensive we have a new starting QB.
Yes Matt......neg 1 yard in the 1st half........its your offense now....Ghesssss
Man, I hope you read these comments. You are a terrible coach, and is now showing without Aaron Rodgers at your side and office is no better with its horrible draft picks and cap Management
MLF needs to admit Barry is trash. MLF brought the trash. Barry has to go already.
Hey, according to the ‘experts’ though, Green Bay had a much better draft than Detroit…..right guys?
@@GregoryAlanBaileygamereviews Goudadunce is one of the worst GM's in the league. It doesn't take much research to find out just how bad his drafts have been. And now, his legacy will ride on the coattails of one Jordan Love. Me thinks he's gonna fail miserably there too.
@petesolberg6182 yes all they have to do is can Joe Berry!
Hey, according to the ‘experts’ though, Green Bay had a much better draft than Detroit…..right guys?
MLF needs to admit Barry is trash. MLF brought the trash. Barry has to go already.
They were a failed kick away from being 1-3 GB really isn't that good and NO Love is not a HOF QB GO LIONS!!!
Hilarious how these "offensive gurus" get exposed without a Hall of Fame quarterback running their schemes. 😅
Rogers has lost plenty of games, especially high-profile games. As was shown on the graphic, they have a losing record against the Lions WITH Rodgers.
Atlanta vs Rodgers playoff cough cough.....
2 Pro Bowl OL, 1 Pro Bowl RB, 1 Pro Bowl LB and 1 Pro Bowl CB was out with Injury.
It was a near impossible feat to begin with.

@@Rye-jl2fkgtfo nothing! Every other nfl coach has them same issues. With the depth the Pack has their is no more excuses for this coaching staff. Our issues are coaching pure and simple. If you can’t see that your blind asf !
Let’s not forget! This is a long season! Coach LaFleur knows that! He’s smart enough not to bring guys back too fast from injuries. Look at how he’s using Gary. He’s keeping this guy healthy with fresh legs and the man is dominating! This is only one example! Awesome coach! If all we have is a 500 record… Matt LaFleur should be coach of the year! Lafluer crying at halftime 😂 I mean he really was you can watch the replay
So what dude he cares for team what if we laugh if you hc cried going into locker room
@@djdanicpYeah I agree! I saw he was pissed but didn’t see him literally cry. Or was this a joke?
@jamiethomas7463 At the very end of the halftime interview when he was finishing the last sentence, he literally sounded like he was fighting back tears and he kind of turned & bolted before he actually started to cry. I don't think he would have gotten another word out without actually crying though.
Dan Campbell did this his first season he was crying after the game was over I believe it was his fourth or fifth game in the season just means he got passion for his job and a coach that care.
I have a good feeling that Detroit will be seeing them in the playoffs more than then likely Green Bay going to be a wild-card team
Man....Quay is balling this yr. I really hate to see him doing stupid stuff....again this yr.
My gut says he didn’t know it was illegal.
Quay walker needs to switch his football helmet out for a special needs one
