some people said it was not fair to compare tarja and anette's live performances because it was only the first performances of anette. but although tarja is a lot less experienced here and it's one of her first performances with nightwish, she's just amazing. thanks a lot!
I love how dramatic her voice used to sound in the first 2 albums of the band. She definitely went for a lighter soprano voice in time. I think Tarjas voice was capable of great depth, with nothing to envy to altos.

It's mind blowing how good Tarja already was in her first gigs. They surely hit jackpot inviting her to sing. Without her they would have never stood out. I just love these first performances of theirs. About her vocals- While I love her "deep" dark tone here. Nowadays she sings more effortlessly and with more dynamic. While her vocals are absolutely exquisite here, the vocals sound "encased" and the wording is much clearer in her latest performance of AFF. However that note at 04:54 wow wow as well as that keyboard solo. Their image was so good here too. I love how gothic they look. She looks so poised and those hair extensions
I don't think I would say that, I love end of era, and creek mary's blood is about my tribes history with the trail of tears. John Two Hawks is someone I know.

I think that she is one Tarja's friend doing the backing vocals but am not totally sure.
That's Marianna Pellinen, Tarja's friend who was the backing vocalist and additonal keyboardist for their first tour :)
