This piece really makes me want to pick up viola again. I mean I was never good at it in the first place but it really makes me want to try again. It was so much fun playing in a string orchestra at school and this piece just makes me remember all of the fun times.

Do it! Like you I played viola through high school. Was nothing special! Stopped. Then 45 years later a local symphony orchestra hosted a open community rehearsal for anyone to come a play. My wife was a away, I figured they would playing dumbed-down arrangements, so I went. Well, they were playing the real compositions. I struggled through a couple; the others were impossible. Afterward chatting with the section leader I said that was, um, interesting - but a bit beyond me!. He looks at me, just simply says, "John, this is a community orchestra". For whatever reason I went back the next week. I've been at it for the past 5 years now. So, go for it - see what happens!
