I feel that the deleted scene 3 is important enough to be added to the movie, it helped show why raiden behave the way he did and gave him a little more credit for doing it.
That's the one thing I didn't really like in the movie, Raiden was kind of a dick for most of it

@Miguel Jimenez I agree it could of been longer but I also understand it’s a video game adaptation so they had to take precautions, still would of made a huge difference on specific characters

Wow this is Easter egg to mortal Kombat annihilation where Shao Kahn chokes Jade feeds her to the monster failing to ambush earthrealm warriors this is very similar to that
Shang Tsung could've been better with the scene. Although I think Shang will do more in the 2nd movie
Kitana already betrayed Shao Kahn her fan in Raiden temple no wonder we only see Mileena hope Jade in the next movie.

That scene with Sub Zero, and Shang Tsung was interesting. Wouldn't have mind that being in the movie.
That scene being cut definitely made me believe they really did have a power struggle to deal with. In the end Sub-Zero ended up being the slightly more menacing character, but that was more so his death would be more satisfying to audiences.
Yeah I kind of wanted to see more of Bi-Han not being a pawn of Shang’s
I guess this is one of those “the smallest changes make the biggest difference” moments
I think the nightmare scene should have stayed in the film

I wish they included that Raiden, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao scene in the actual movie because that’s really the only scene where Raiden isn’t a asshole and It helps defend why Raiden was being so harsh in the movie because he was just trying to get Liu Kang and Kung Lao to push Sonya, Jax, Kano, and Cole to their limits so that they could get their arcana’s also this scene makes Raiden feel more of a mentor as he should be and he actually has faith in Earthrealms defenders. They also should’ve included the Shang Tsung and Mileena scene too because it makes Shang Tsung feel more intimidating and it gives a brief explanation of Mileena’s backstory.
He was obviously using a fake coaching persona the whole time, but yea.
I think Sub-Zero’s scene with Shang should’ve been in the final product. Not to mention the Radien scene with Kung Lao and Lui Kang
They def should have kept the mileena scene because it fortifies why mileena doesn’t disobey him

Choreography/staging was great, but the way the director poorly edited the fights ruined their potential for sure.
Can't wait for the 2nd installment to this

Also, they should have kept Shang and Mileena. It explains why she is sort of helping Shang and I barely got any scenes with my girl. 😭
The Sub Zero confronting Shang Tsung scene is interesting. Sub Zero shows no fear to Shang as if he knows that he can take Shang Tsung in a one on one fight, Shang seems to somewhat back down. It seems like Shang initially put Sub Zero up to killing Hanzo instead of Quan Chi being the one that actually killed off the Hanzo. Sub Zero seems to be more of a hired assassin or ally to Shang than a minion like the rest are

yo... the extended nightmare scene with Cole and Hanzo should've been included.
With that Shang and Sub scene should've been in the movie. But a bit a longer, Shang should've threatened Bi-Han with the much harm that he could do to his little brother, Kuai that Bi-Han feels more to protect him from Shang.
The scene with Kung Lao and Liu Kang was great it's actually away from the temple
I wanted more Scorpion and Sub-Zero duels.
Had they stuck to any of the actual lore, Sub Zero would have defeated Scorpion in the 2nd fight and Scorpion would have to come back and kill him during the tournament. But of course not
They should’ve kept these scenes to the movie.

Sub zero wanted to go beast on shang
That was the only time that Mileena had a backstory that ties to the game. Shang Tsung did create her from the flesh pits. That also establishes that even though she dies, she can be brought back because Shang Tsung can recreate. Because they took this out no Mortal Kombat fan that has seen this movie will understand how she would be brought back.
All of the delete scenes should have being in the movie with a few modification.
I dont even remember shang shapeshifting in the movie... that alone is a tragedy

Would have kept Cole's Scorpion nightmare and the Shang and Mileena scene since they add more to each character
Sonya actually learning her Arcana and being sent the final by Raiden will have been filmed and cut, no doubt. That was one thing they shld definitely have left in, cos it left everyone thinking WTF? When she came from nowhere and used some random power less than a minute after beating Kano haha
i feel like i would have most of these in the movie except keep the final cut of the dream sequence. these scenes would give everybody a whole bunch more personality, which movie was lacking in before.
The beginning edited poster of Johnny Cage was kind of an inside joke, the man edited on the poster is Scott Adkins. Just like Hiroyuki Sanada and Joe Taslim, Scott Adkins is an action star (an amazing one at that) with a lot of Martial Arts training under his belt and appeared as extras on Doctor Strange and doubled Weapon X Deadpool. A lot of people think he would be a great Johnny Cage so he was edited on the poster
Imagine in deleted scenes it show us that Kung Lao survived and they won the battle and they should’ve kept the Kung Lao and Lui Kang scene in the movie

@i Goma He hasn't had a funny role, yet, so we don't know if he is or isn't. But, we never know; he could possibly pull it off.
They should've kept Liu Kang & Kung Lao meeting with Raiden, Mileena & Shang Tsung and Sub-Zero & Shang Tsung because when everyone is terrified by Shang Tsung, Sub-Zero is like I don't fear you that means he is that damn powerful and that would make him much more badass.
Sub-Zero be like: No stealing Bi-Han’s soul, today, Tsung. *Freezes hand*
Honestly, with the run-time of 1:38:00, they could’ve added all of this and I’d be more happy with it. It definitely helped mold Shang Tsung and Raiden more than the movie did and it would’ve helped me feel like they were of importance.

They had it spelled out for all the people that kept asking how their arcanas worked. I think even uncagedgamez asked what Jax's arcana would be if he didn't lose his arms. You arcana strengthens your weakness.

These deleted scenes with the meat movie so much better except the first one
I'm glad the Tsung - Mileena scene wasn't in the movie. It would have made for a cool show of Tsung's strength and the fear he commands, but it would have definitely taken away a bit of the punch when he stole Kung Lao's soul.
To be honest the movie may not be the best movie but it was far from being horrible like people kept saying I enjoyed myself. I can't wait to see the sequels to it which btw this movie is supposed to be a setup for the tournaments
It being setup doesn't excuse any of the problems with the movie, and enjoying the movie doesn't mean it's good.
@LITARIUS no it doesn't. Being a set up isn't a justification for poorly thought out writting decisions, and having a limited budget means they shouldn't be wasting it on non characters like this version of goro.
@LITARIUS except they didn't mainly focus on sub zero. We learned next to nothing about him and he only appeared right before, or during a fight scene. The character we mainly focused on was new to this movie.
@LITARIUS except we did go too far. The movie unecessarily pulled characters, and lore, from several games down the line which confused people who hadn't played those games. They shouldn't have had to waste time with arcana in this movie, because arcana shouldn't be a thing. No one would have had an issue with the characters just having there abilities via the same means as in the games. You think turning a prominent character goro into nothing goon was good? By that logic it would have been fine had turned sub zero a d scorpion into 1 dimensional henchmen who only exist to get killed. Also defending it with the others characters development makes no sense because they were barely developed. It's not a stretch to call the writting poorly thought out when it takes prominent characters( goro and kung lao) and reduces them to glorified extras, introducing unnecessary elements to the lore, and premise that makes no since for mortal kombat, and even contradicts itself. They could have done far less and gotten far more.
