Marie deserves more love. So many first time watchers just write her and Skyler off because they think they’re annoying. They’re so well written and well acted.
Facts
Nope. Agree with the skyler part. But Marie’s scenes of theft is so boring and doesn’t really matter to the main story at all
I think she was really underrated, especially Marie’s and Skylar’s sister energy is great. I realized it recently when I’m rewatching the series.
yes and no, they are really good actors and their writing is great, but people think their annoying because they are annoying characters to most people, doesnt matter how good thier acting or writing is, its just character wise, with nothing against Anna Gunn or Betsy Brandt
@@uglybarnacle6699 i feel like they are fine but cutting away to scenes like marie stealing is really annoying
Her character is low key one of the more powerful redemption arcs. She went from annoying suburban busybody to tragic, noble woman even into Better call Saul. Great actor.
Agreed. I like to think it's less of a redemption arc and more of a "reveal" of who she really is. When Hank begins to go through some hard times, you find out how incredible of a woman and wife she is. Resilient, loving, no bullshit. His trauma and despression bleeds onto her, and she barely bends and never breaks. You find out what kind of person she really is when put through trying times.
annoying asf imo
but you feel sorry in the end
Not to mention she was also a petty thief. Lol.
when was she in bcs?
@@TKVisme final episode i think
Marie is the second-longest running character across the Breaking Bad universe. Only her and Walt appear in the pilot of Breaking Bad and the finale of Better Call Saul.
Yea they wanted to put her in at the end of season 2 when Chuck was getting his CT scan cuz she was a Tech but Peter Gould thought it would distract from what Chuck was going though I agree and am glad they waited
Bruhh I never realized that!
what about jimmy and jesse? jesse has an entire movie and every episode of breaking bad, and a couple better call saul episodes
@@bennandersonn I don't understand your question? Marie appears in Breaking Bad episode 1. And also appears in the series finale of Better Call Saul. Only her and Walt are in both episodes.
Emilio Koyama is also in the Breaking Bad pilot and the Better Call Saul finale
Marie Shrader is the most underrated character of the Breaking Bad universe. So happy to see her in the series finale of Better call Saul.
It was such a perfect storm of tv drama. It's like a once every 50 years show.
Fifty (50) years?? No. In a 10 year period you had Sopranos, The Wire, Mad Men and Breaking Bad. Others will come.
Cast top to bottom, the best acted show. Betsy a key piece of that. Love the show. Watch it over and over. The best
Tremendous comment
I hated her in _Breaking Bad,_ loved her in _Life In Pieces._ A testament to her great acting.
Mad Men blows it away.
@@alphanerd7221 Not even remotely close to being as good as _Breaking Bad_
@@ValRoyD No, it isn't. It's much better, in every way.
15 years later and she looks as young and beautiful as ever
Seeing Marie at the end of Better Call Saul was SO heavy.
She looks younger now than she did in BB.
She aged like wine. Great looking woman
No she doesn’t.
She's been taking her vitamins and rocks.
"Minerals!"
@@PhantomFilmAustralia So close, co lose! Should have just said ‘She’s been taking her minerals’ and that would have been a killer comment hahahaha
@@RoyKoopaling You didn't read all of my comment...did you?
Marie is my favorite character. The comic relief she provided was pure gold.
Oh! You are in big trouble now, missy.
@@dylanwatt7461 Lol!
Pure gold. Draped in purple.
@@pantherman16 Perfect!
The most disturbing scene, for me, was Jesse throwing money out the window. Still have nightmares about it .
Interesting
as someone who’s poor- yeah
Really? That part is really cathartic for me… probably because I fucking hate money and what it does to people.
@@bigb2650 I love money...
@@tigrispanthera5496 Lmfao 😂
My 14 year old nephew binged it last year and even got his mother and his aunt to watch it together. My nephew is quoting lines like the show just hit Netflix. My sisters love it too.
She’s not wearing purple, wtf?
😂😂😂
the hospital "bet" scene.. hands down my favorite Hank and Marie scene! 😆😀😘😆
Hands down, and up, and down again
She stole Riches ashtray as soon as this was over
Best written & acted show - start to finish - I have ever watched and continue to watch.
Of course I know the show is fiction but her performance was so heartbreaking, it's kinda nice to see that she's all right!
She’s so awesome. The whole cast is so nice.
She still looks great maybe even better than ever. We love her!
The fact that the actors themselves got redacted scripts from Vince and Peter somehow adds to the (breaking) 'badass-ness' of a show for which there didn't appear to be more room for any additional.
I watch this show in its entirety every summer. Looking forward to it again this summer. That and Band of Brothers.
She looks like she’s in her 20s. Amazing
Let’s not kid ourselves here, she looks good, but not 20s good
@@francissanto12 Born March 14, 1973 - so age 50.
she looks hot early 40s
Every actor/actress in breaking bad and better call saul are so superb even the smaller roles are amazing
Loved Betsy as Marie, Skylar too. They were much needed against the backdrop of so much violence
She is too sweet of a person for the twisted world of breaking bad
when BCS came out, wife and I watched the first episode and were like.....yeah, we need go back and watch BB to catch up. and so glad we did. Never seen it before until then and its the best show ever!!!
Great acting by all who were in the show. I mean, you could feel the pain and fear like no other show ever.
I remember catching the second or third episode in its initial run by accident (before anybody knew what Breaking Bad even was ) and I was hooked, and I hate TV. Nobody will realize (or care) what a compliment it is for me to spend an hour every week committed to and eagerly anticipating seeing the next episode of a TV series.
I understand 🙏🏻
Jesus Christ, Marie! They're minerals!
Damnit, Marie!
I’m just happy to see her in a different color besides purple 😂
One of the scenes i cant watch without getting the creeps is when Skyler is singing Happy Birthday to Ted.
i always have to skip that one 🥶
That's the one unironically cringe scene in BB.
When her character shows up in better call saul, i definitely choked up
Marie's character really grew on me. From annoyed to loved.
Her face looks completely different 😳
Betsy is such a nice person. Met her in line at the dmv the other day, didn’t realize who I was talking to till later that night but the whole time I wanted to ask if people ever said she looked like Marie from breaking bad. Wish her luck in her future endeavors!
OMG she is so gorgeous! ❤
She looks even more attractive today than ever before. Betsy you look damn good.
Even a character like Marie who could have been played for one note was given so much nuance and a complete arc in the Better Call Saul finale.
Dang she's awesome...greatest show ever! If you haven't seen Barry yet, go see that too!
I literally just binged the entire show in about a week and a half. Gonna watch el Camino tonight and then start better call Saul
Man I never realized what a travesty her hairstyle in the show was. Look how lovely she looks here.
She's so beautiful ❤️
Charming lady. I really like Marie.
I'm currently watching it for the third time
...just started binging last week. Next, season three.
Betsy and Hank ... so good
She aged like fine wine 🍷
I’ve never watched BB and probably never will but I loved Betsy in, Life in Pieces.
I always found her attractive. She hasn't aged much since God even the first season so many many years ago. She was actually my least favorite character out of the main (4) family characters b/c all the others were so good, but Maria was good. Actually her best scene was years later in Better Call Saul final episode.
Betsy is a fantastic actress
betsy is such a good actor
This has the feel of a job interview.
When I first saw it...I binged season 1 - 5a in two months to watch 5b when it came out.
Какая обаятельная актриса!
Betsy looks fantastic!
3:26 slowly but surely showing my younger 2 kids now
What a voice
acting is such an intense job
Best finale of all time
She still looks good.
she is beautiful😍
bone cheeks added
4:50 Haha, she is so funny.
The Ritter-Cranston scene is horrific. I imagine Cranston's empathy for his characters and their relation to other characters is internalized to such a depths that tears are inevitable. It's just so shocking.
"Jesus christ Marie, they're minerals."
she is still Marie, clearly
she looks great as usual.
Purple roku logo I see you
She looks more down-to-earth now 😊
The scene between Maria & Hank and his "Discharge" from hospital is the funniest scene in the entire 5 season run. Brilliant :-)
Those heels are hardcore.
I tweeted with Betsy and she is so sweet! Love her!❤
cool story bro
Crazy how so many alter awful egos came out of so many really nice people. That must be a cool memory!
Marie & Skylar had every reason to be “anoiying” Skylar and her family fell in love with Walter white, not Heisenberg
They wanted Matthew Broederik and John Cusack to play Walter White imagine that lol
Would've been good tbh. Bryan Cranston is better but I could see both of those actors working really well
She looks great
3:38 for the "scenes Betsy Brandt still can't watch" part
I WANT HER!!!
Is Marie's favorite color purple?
the cheek filler ain’t working for ya.
Season 1 is actually really funny!
Man she's a knockout, so beautiful
Still looks good
They're minerals, Jesus Marie
How could she possibly be sexier than she was 10 years ago. Betsy is 🔥
Dang she looks different. She looks younger and pretty than she did in BB.
Except for her neck
I agree wholeheartedly that the show is fantastic and the acting was exclellent, including Betsy. I will say though that the character of Walter White mirrors the character of Michael Corleone in the Godfather.
Rich likes all the same shows that I do, apparently!
She‘s fire 🔥
No purple?
Dang it, I was going to make a purple reference.
she’s so pretty
What’s her accent? It’s different to in the show
Watching the pilot I also thought it was going to be a comedy.
Not surprised the actors thought this show was going to be a comedy. It's got a twisted, dark sense of humor but it's still got humor, and I found myself laughing at maybe a few things I shouldn't have
Am I only the one that pictures Woody Harrelson with a wig every time that someone mentions Skyler?
I don’t know why everyone acts like marie wasn’t real from day one. Yeah she was REALLY fucking annoying at some points but she told walt from the beginning it was his choice to get treatment or not and she also supported hanks mineral obsession
*rocks
she is so foxy
The show did her no favors. She is beautiful in real life
Doesn't even Sound Like Marie. Great Actress
She is such a cutie & very likable......totally different than her character Marie.
Why isn't she dresses in purple?
