Adam covers a song the way George Michael did. He stays true to himself, respects the artist’s version of the song but adds just enough of Adam’s touches to make it his own. That is quite the compliment to Adam Lambert. George was and still is my favorite male vocalist but it is nice to hear someone cover his music and do it justice. George’s songs aren’t the easiest to sing,

This is the GM tribute that should have been done at the Grammy's. Makes me so mad they had Adele do it. I think she should have said a tribute to GM and let Adam sing a duet of his songs, his version of "One More Try" just moves you-it's a goosebump moment and would have been the most perfect moment for him and tribute to George Michael that he deserved. GM had even said he thought Adam did a great job w/ his song "Faith" on ABC Greatest Hits a few years ago.
in an era of average singing talent, despite Cowells best efforts, and a sprinkling of current female stars, this is a great version of One More Try. It deserves a wider audience.
Adam has a wider range than Freddie did. Adam sang Nessun Dorma in Italy with Queen. He sang almost completely a cappella. Freddie would be beyond impressed. They're each unique. Let's just not debate it all the time. Let's just enjoy. 😊💖✌

Love that Adam's version transforms a great song to one that is so exhilarating I have not ceased to keep coming back for inspiration; after all this time, I'm still fascinated. Adam's artistry is evident in how he changes up the melody, such as in the beginning which notes somehow seem much more fitting than the original ones of GM's version, how he transfixes you with the beauty with his heart-rending self, and how towards the end the song takes wings as he powers up phrases, adds enchanting flourishes, and forges its best promise for glory and poignancy. To his credit, GM's songwriting is genius, but in the song's performance, GM's seems a one dimensional shadow of Adam's multi-faceted, sensuous delivery. This is the kind of song Adam excels with no one close to touching his artistic brilliance.
