I often see records like this in stores and think maybe I should get because they’re classic albums, but I wouldn’t necessarily seek them out. Probably would grab Misfits and Sleepwalker to fill out the Kinks collection. Thanks for the flip-through, Rob.
Hi Russell I don’t mind watching these videos especially if you can see the prices. I picked up misfits recently for £7 and it’s ok. I don’t have many studio albums by the kinks so i snagged it .. thanks for watching and commenting it’s appreciated 👍
Nice to see what’s available Rob. Pretty middle the road selections, nothing wrong with that. I liked that the price stickers were large and easy to read for sore eyes. Prices weren’t outrageous. Cheers.
An original Buzzcocks would have had to come home with me. I just took everyone on a trip to buy records in PuertoRico. Love seeing other record stores or stalls
Hi Steve I have that buzzcocks so I left it behind £25 was about right. I like seeing different stores especially if I can see the prices. Thanks for watching 👍
Great video btw , the prices seem really reasonable, the Quo ones are an absolute bargain as they are all the 70s pressings and as usual a beat up Bowies Aladdin Sane going for an exorbitant £30 . In London the prices are much more expensive, maybe 25-30% more !
It's a lot of fun to see how your "typical stuff" records differ and overlap with what we have over here. Slade was like the George Formby of the 1970s. Big in the UK but too British for American audiences. At least George didn't have to suffer the indignity of being known to millions of Americans as a footnote in Quiet Riot's history. Cheers, Jacob
Hi Jacob no George but as you mention this booth was slade heavy. It was fun to see you showing the inspiral carpets in a recent video .! The best band from Oldham 😀. Thanks for watching 👍
That Uriah Heep album you saw I bought it when it came out I listened to that record a lot. I also saw curved air, air conditioning That's a hard one to find. Alex Harvey band, The impossible dream. one of my favorites
Hi Ron I recall you talking about Uriah heap in your videos maybe I should check them out …. Thanks for watching my friend it’s always great hearing from you 👍
Hi Phil I have 2 that you mentioned when I watched the video back I thought maybe I should have grabbed that led zeppelin album. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍.
I think I would have picked up Sputnik and Sisters of Mercy, there were many decent ones that I already have. I thought the prices were sensible. The conditions looked good, some ringwear bug it’s hard to tell unless you slip out of outer sleeve, because sometimes I find it is just on the outer which has been used a lot. Thanks for showing Rob……and yes I did keep watching just in case some different ones appeared 😂😂 Mike
Hi Rob! I never come across any Status Quo here in the states unfortunately. I really enjoy their stuff as I find them quite a fun band. The pricing on those records seemed pretty fair overall. ✌
Hi mike I like these videos if I can see the prices. I’ve noticed what’s in American bins is totally different … slade was also popular in these bins for some reason🤷🏼♂️. Thanks for watching mike 👍
Prices seem to be very decent indeed. I went to some record stores in Toronto this morning, and the prices they ask for such "classic rock" records range from $25 to $40.
@@frenchvinyladdict hi.. yeah I thought so. I personally like these videos when you can see the prices. The 2 albums I bought were in excellent condition. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Not bad prices there tbh Rob I’d have picked up the Sigue Sigue Sputnik and Sisters of Mercy (and Nazareth Hair of the Dog if it was better than my copy!) also that Gasoline Alley on the Vertigo label would have been worth a punt if it had the swirl inner.
Hi Jamie I probably should have picked up that Sputnik album but I bought quadrophinia and Tommy and some other records so I was over budget really .. thanks for watching 👍
@@robwalkerletthemusicplay fair enough mate - you still picked up some great records I’m a big fan of the Who and they’re two of their best albums. Take care mate cheers
Hi randy I’ve had the quadrophinia soundtrack for a while but I was missing the studio album .. I had it years ago but it went missing.. thanks for watching and commenting randy 👍
What a win for Norwich yesterday. England ladies have an excellent chance to bring it home 🏆 ! You don't reply to my comments anymore , so 🤷 I'll stop leaving them. Good Luck 👍 ✌️
Hi Jon.. I’ve a few early Graham Parker albums but I don’t have that live album. If you recommend it I’ll give it a listen. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
The four I'd of been interested in were the Pete Townshend,Slade In Flame,Sigue Sigue Sputnik or Sick Sick Shitbag as they're s ometimes called and Sham 69 👍👍👍 Cheers Rob.
Like you said quite alot of very average albums there, if anything stood out and i really like listening to its floodland sisters of mercy and Quadrophenia - the film too is great. Tommy is more hard work and the film even more hard work but i just saw the once. Sorry but cilla and cliff should be one quid all day long 💩💩 not a lora lora laughs
Totally agree Martin I know people are interested in what’s available in the uk. These antique stores are more miss than hit. But it’s difficult to film in small record shops 🤷🏼♂️
I MUST APOLOGISE THIS VIDEO IS REPEATED ITS ONLY ACTUALLY 5.34 LONG
In that case I am happy to take the spare Quadrophenia and Tommy ; )
Bloody repeats..

I thought I was having a bit of a senior moment there Rob 🤣🤣. Anyway looks like some decent prices. I have so few decent record stores anywhere nearby
Hey Andy yeah apologies for causing you a senior moment 😃👍. Thanks for watching
Thanks for sharing, I probably brought that neil young harvest album, have a great weekend 😎
I have that one Simon Thanks for watching 👍

Easiest carpet I've ever cleaned, too.

Some really great albums. I would have bought the Jeff Beck Wired. Love that album. Santana too Enjoyed the ride along
Thanks for watching Toni I was tempted by that Jeff beck album 👍
You are dead right, you see most of those albums everywhere. All must have sold well on release in the UK.
Hi Neil. Yeah pretty standard stuff but I did grab quadrophnina and Tommy. Thanks for watching 👍
Sputnik at £15 is a good price 👍🏻
Yeah I slipped up leaving it behind .. thanks for watching 👍
I saw some that I have, some that I would like to have, and some that I would never want to own 🙂
Hi Brian that is the perfect response to this video 😃
You could get triple those prices on a VC auction.
Ha…. I prefer to find records in the wild not from my armchair 😃

Thanks for posting Rob,
I would have gone for U2, Led Zeppelin and Genesis Wind and Wuthering!
Cliff’s albums never seem to go for much?

Some cool records there!

Hi mike these booths tend to show standard fair .. but personally I quite like flick videos if you can see the prices. Thanks for watching 👍
Classic last century picks 😮

If the Jim Croce album is a vertigo swirl it’s worth a lot more than £10
I didn’t check maybe I missed out ! Thanks for watching 👍
Did you actually buy anything? It was pretty standard fare but i would have grabbed that queen album.
Yes I bought quadrophinia and Tommy £40 for both .. which is ok and the condition was very good so I’m happy 😃. Thanks for watching 👍
Even though The Who are my favorite group, I only have Quadrophenia on CD. I keep looking for a good copy but they seem to be beat-up or overpriced.

That Parkerilla is a great album

I picked up a quadrophenia from another stall in Bygone Times, for 15. You passed up on John Kongos, which is not acceptable 😂
The four I'd of been interested in were the Pete Townshend,Slade In Flame,Sigue Sigue Sputnik or Sick Sick Shitbag as they're s ometimes called and Sham 69 👍👍👍

I should have picked up that Sputnik album you don’t see it very often thanks for watching nick 👍
Not bad prices, did you buy the Quadrophenia? .
Couple of Nilsson titles in there I don't have.
Hi rob yes I bought quadrophinia and Tommy 2 albums I used to own but went missing £40 off those 2 I thought was ok thanks for watching 👍
I would have bought the Tim Hardin and the sisters of mercy :)
Hey baggy… I thought you’d have grabbed CAT 🐈 stevens 😀. Thanks for watching 👍
How much for the Charlie Chaplin statue? 😅
Ha not sure maybe I’d have bought it but it wouldn’t fit in my car 🚗 😃
I see prices, but I don’t see grades. Is that typical? Also, I’m pretending Alan Price is narrating.
Hi Micheal some grade some don’t booths like this generally don’t but you can just look and decide for yourself 🤷🏼♂️. Thanks for watching 👍
