I have done the exact same thing about a year and a half ago. No errors since. However, I did notice once the the rear indicator did not work at all but the dash showed no problem. This was fixed by a gentle tap on the taillight. I guess that by coding this to LED, the car doesn’t sense a fault in any case.
This doesn't fix the broken indicator though; it just stops the error appearing on the dash. The fix is to replace the full light assembley for which ever side has the problem. Its a known voltage issue in the assembley wiring.
@@TheEddysGaragehi Eddy, does that mean bimmercode didn’t fix the issue eventually? Could you also share the link of the taillight cluster if you didn’t order it from BMW?
I don’t think it’s wise to do it. I would rather want to know it doesn’t work. You might assume people know you’re turning but they might not know that. At least then you know, you can bring it to stop safely and smack it.

The love tap was fixing it for me too which suggests something is loose but this cleared the errors for me. So far so good

I’ve spoke to bmw about this to raise the issue they said there not aware but will look into it fingers crossed 🤞
They wouldn’t do squat for me and my car has no mileage. They offered a discount on buying a new light.
