About 30 years ago, i started reading Hogan's book. I was playing off 5 handicap and wanted to improve. When i got to the part about the elbows and arms i couldn't do it, so gave up on the book, reading no further, and returned it to its owner. I gave up golf in 2001. Recently i have started playing again, watching every video you release and now, finally i understand the positioning of the elbows and arms!!!!! Your teaching videos are fantastic, my handicap is already down to 10, thanks Chris.
Hi Christ you’re correct. That picture of Hogan putting a rope around his arms was too confusing for sure. Based on that I did start lifting my club with my right biceps; but stopped doing that years ago. When my biceps turned black and blue. Cheers. 👍😊😊
At any point in the downswing, do you feel any bit of a throwing motion meaning throwing out the bend in your arm. Or does the rotation naturally throw the club out? Also, is there any direction you release the force intentionally or does it naturally release in a certain direction. This goes with the conversation of spinning and maybe pressing the club down. Basically, are we directing the club ir is the rotation naturally throwing it out into a direction?
What I see you are doing is basically promoting a flatter one swing plain and turning your upper body to swing the club in lieu of swinging arms, dropping arms into the slot creating two plain swing. You also keep right elbow for the most part connected to the body. My short game swing looks just like you are showing but on my longer 8 iron and up I still end up lifting my right elbow towards the end of back swing but not much, I’m going to try flattening my swing plain and keep right elbow connected, see what happens. Let me know if my understanding is correct
The spiral, the spiral, its all in the spiral. The spiral puts the left elbow into attack position. it all becomes easier after understanding the spiral.
The majority of neurons in the sensory and motor cortex are devoted to our face(tongue) and hands. The other body parts(including elbow) go along for the ride supporting members of whatever the intention we have for our face and hands. So when Ben Hogan consciously supinated his dominant, right hand from top of BS through impact, his other body parts played their supporting role, ensuring he stayed upright(job one for homo sapien) as the weight of his arms (20-40 pounds ) was to move from his right above his shoulder, down and around his torso. So there is no magic elbow movement.. just a complex, chain action of moving body parts initiated by and to support a singular intent.

Awesome explanation, this works so well 😊😊
I’m very interested in ur theories about Mr hogan golf swing. I like u to reinforce them by hitting balls so we can see that it really works?
When new studio is complete, absolutely.
Could you explain the right leg movement ?
Thanks
The spiral staircase and the spiral of the left hand guided by the right. to truly understand the spiral is key.
Your knowledge of Mr..Hogan Chis is beyond peer!
I wish you would do some videos on pitching!
Maybe one day!

This is all BS. If you want to learn how to swing the golf club watch Manuel De La Torre and get his book.
That makes a lot of sense. Thanks You!!
👍👍👍
Could you show us your golf swing
Great stuff.
Thanks!

i ll stick to Mr Hogan on a golf course swinging a club and actually hitting a ball. But thank you.
Thanks for sharing.
Stopped slicing it after pulling my trail elbow back
