- Yesterday I was fortunate enough to see Blue Beetle and today we have my full spoiler free review. I saw Blue Beetle last night at the Multimedia screening hosted by Warner Brothers Discovery and today I will be giving my full honest thoughts regarding the latest DC film. Now going into this movie, I wasn’t expecting much at all. The trailers looked generic and felt like another random DC movie that no one was really that interested in.

The idea of going to watch a movie with low expectations just to trick our mind that the movie is good or ignore the quality is exactly why these studios don’t give a fuck about the products they giving us.

Blue Beetle is one of my favorite DC characters. I’m excited to watch this.
Honestly, if it weren’t for Xolo, I don’t think Blue Beetle would be good even a little bit. Been a fan of his since Cobra Kai. He REALLY stands out in that show. Dude’s a damn good actor.
Really enjoyed the film ! Bit like Shazam. Trailers don’t do it justice. Good origin story and not a film trying really hard to be serious !

How come when the trailers for movies looks good they tend to suck but when trailers looks generic it’s actually unexpectedly good or decent? This is a Bizarro world we live in.

@@OurMovieNews it seems all you tubers and critics are forgetting that the word comic comes from the word comedy ( why every one always say we do not want comedy in comic book movies, these movies are already P13 so they have to cater for the kids as well )

James Gunn by announcing the reboot, and not specifying its extent, has sucked out all of the fan interest from DC films. Hence a really good film like The Flash flopped, and sadly so will Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2. 💔

@@prodigalbrock Depends on from what POV you see it. I saw it by being agnostic to Snyder's DC films and seeing it purely as its own thing.
The fan interest is there.. the only people complaining are the Snyder Fans 🤷🏾♂️

anyone else hate how Gunn gimped these last few DC films? they could've been so much more. Blue Beetle sounds like a good time.
I found the trailer for Blue Beetle to be really interesting except the batman part in the end which is very untasteful and that alone is making me conflicted about going to the cinema for it. I am interested in the Blue Beetle but I dont want to support a movie that doesnt respect what came before it and the universe its set in. Thanks for the video!

@@JohnVikingg you 1000% right. I didn’t say to change the opinions lol. Just thought 7.5/10 is for an above average movie. In my opinion, I think most movies get 7.5/10 cause anything below is consider “bad”

Talking about the jokes for 30% of the Review turned me down already 😮
Just finally saw it and only got half way because the constant over the top jokes every 3 seconds got annoying and I didn't laugh once, it was all very unfunny and over-forced to me, and when they leaned in for a kiss I said to my friend "watch someone will walk in just before they kiss for funny haha moment" then it literally happened, thats where we stopped watching lol

@@Spectre80 It would have been over if the story ended. We still did not see that ending and Snyder knows very well that fact. And he is waiting for showing those plans he had. He already said it in a talk with Infinity War & Endgame directors, that he wants to show that ending one day. If we can have the Ayer cut, why won't we have the Snyderverse restored? The Ayer cut is from the DCEU too and no one will complain.
I think the movie looks good but I won't give the dcu my money.

@@Lankystorm28415 not as big of a blue beetle fan so no. I get he’s more of a light hearted character compared to other dc heroes. My problem is I’m tired of DC movies playing things safe and trying to be lighthearted jokefests. It’s infected everything from black Adam to Aquaman to the flash to even batman in some small cases. If they want to add jokes that’s fine but learn to balance your tone.
ALSO I also blame the old regime at WB for throwing the DC hierarchy off track. We were well on our way to a broad and vibrant DCU with DCs top heroes at the center. Now we’re still in the fallout of Walter Hamada throwing anything at the wall to see if it sticks. Now James Gunn is stuck trying to make use of film that shouldn’t have been made in the first place. Blue beetle is a cool character but this is not how you establish a dc universe
