Very interesting walking around this old fort. They are quite incredible structures with so much to look at. Don't fancy all that water though. Such a shame that it's not more accessible.
It was a really amazing experience and we could have spent hours longe there if we'd had the time.. we'd gone right at the end of the summer when its usually dry inside so I guess we were just unlucky with the flooding.. I guess the advantage with it being hard to access is that its not completely destroyed by vandals like most of these old forts.. Thanks again for watching 👍😊
Very epic location, certainly well worth the trip to go visit. Unfortunate that it was flooded, but if anything that actually added to the video. You are lucky to have so much Napoleonic war related stuff down there. Enjoyed this one :-)
Thanks Urbexy, yeah it was a shame there were a few areas we couldn't quite reach but still an amazing place.. Hopefully we'll get an opportunity to visit a few more of these forts in the near future. Thanks for watching 😊
@@Olleetheowl it really is amazing inside to experience it, our footage doesn't really do it justice.. Maybe one day we'll attempt to get to its sister fort on Darnet Island but think we'll invest in a proper boat first! Lol 😆
Brilliant video Em and Stu, well worth the wait! Some stunning footage in there and you've also done a great job of storytelling with the narration, pictures and footage. Plus it was all really well paced - a lot condensed into 10 minutes! Did you get the shots of the WW2 emplacement on the roof with the drone?
Thanks lads, it wasn't an easy task since we'd had issues with alot of the footage so it had to be scraped but I think I managed to just about pull a half decent edit out of the bag.. Might have to convince Stu to return to make a better video lol. You could access the small breeze block observation post by climbing out of the windows as it was on the outer skirting.. Looking forward to seeing your video now 😊👍
@@ExploringWithEmAndStu all great footage so maybe it helped to keep it concise haha. Ah I must’ve missed that, guessing that’s separate to whatever was on the roof then?
Love it. The mild peril, the history, the VO, nice shots and drone work. Top work!
Love that!
Thank you for you're nice comment, we tried to go that extra mile for this one as we don't plan on returning lol. Thanks for watching 😊 👍
A very interesting place to explore. Its a pity part of it was flooded though.

Pity it was so flooded in the lower section of the fort but this was a great explore, well done guys 😃👍🏻 Trev
Thanks Trev. Yes this really was a bucket list explore for us, really glad we managed it. Thanks for watching 😊
I LARPed there in the 90's!
Great video 👍
Thank you 😊
It's a shame when these places end up as they do.
Yes this place should have been turned into a museum instead of abandoned and left to fall apart along with the other big forts in the area..
