Heb, 4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. How do you explain this passage?
Bella mamie it is referring to a person who willingly refuses to repent for going astray in their walk with Yeshua. If that person dies without repenting for their sins, without repenting for their transgressions, and has decided to refuse the Holy Spirit to be their guide, that person will not inherit the Kingdom of God. It is referring to a person who is willingly refusing to repent for turning their backs on Yeshua. Look at peter when he denied Yeshua, he repented and willingly decided to change his lifestyle and follow after Yeshua his master. This is explaining a person who does not repent of going astray while they are alive. Repentance can only be done by a person who is willing to change their lifestyle and renew their mind with the entire Word of God, and apply those instructions in their daily life. A person chooses to repent, the Holy Spirit condemns a believer for sin or for wrongdoing; however, that convicted person must decide if he or she is willing to admit their wrong, turn away from evil, and change their lifestyle to please Yeshua and to please our Divine Creator.
@bellamamie2687 when we fall away from the FAITH, our trust in Jesus, we can't accept Jesus' sacrifice for our sins again, because it has already been done. Our sins have been paid in full. He did it once for all. Noone can lose eternal life even if they fall away from their faith, it is Jesus who keeps them saved, but they will get chastised & maybe even lose rewards in heaven but never their salvation, it is impossible❤
