I did his 10 Step videos and got a huge improvement in my riding. Once I got thru that it revealed the changes I needed to make to the bike to suit the places I ride and my skills. That led to even more imorovements.
Yes, this content is great! Now if I could only get enough interested parties to pool together the funds and fly him up to interior Alaska for a clinic it would be awesome.
The #1 enduro technique channel without doubt! Love the intricate details necessary to further develop and greatly speed up personal development! Thank you Rich!
I've learned SO much from your vids! I beat my time at the Desert 100 by 36 minutes this year, and wasn't NEARLY as tired! I was constantly using your lessons! Thank you!
You should be proud of this Rich! Been following you for a few years now and everything you post really does help with technique and skill. I thank you for your contributions to my personal pursuit of mastery😉
Professor Larsen!! You are an incredible teacher. The videos are helpful and awesome but being in person with the Professor is 100% a game changer!! After a class I can get a bit more out of the videos as well. Great investment if you’re wanting to up your riding game!
You deserve an honorary doctorate degree for the hard work, dedication, and creativity in developing and proving out your approach to teaching riding skills. Doc Larsen! 100% agree with what Dustin wrote. I learned more and developed a greater appreciation and respect for the sport in those two days in Olympia than over the decades of riding to that point. And best of all, you are a kind and thoughtful person. Super excited for you and congrats on launching the website!
I have found and watched videos of people learning to ride off road... I can see, in their bodies how they would greatly improve if they learned and practiced your videos. I like how you start with balance and then basic clutch control. I don't have a moto yet, but I can practice on my bicycle the balance and then uphill "starts". Thank you for being awesome and sharing!
Thank you Rich, been on my enduro bike for two months now and what I did was following yuour teaching and honestly things are getting better. God bless!
Awesome Rich to get your riding/teaching approach documented and online on your own site :) You're an awesome rider and teacher. Looking forward to seeing you again at the next clinic in VA
Excellent Rich! Your methods are spot on. I try to practice those three fundamentals almost every day and although none are “mastered”, I have experienced tremendous improvement and progression. I thoroughly enjoy your breakdowns and admire your enthusiasm and passion for imparting your knowledge to all of us- can’t wait to attend one of your clinics! Thank you Rich!!
I had a 1970 TS 90 as a kid. Everyone should be required by law to start with one. 😂 Great instruction here... Thanks for sharing your insights. Your wheelie technique is spot on. It works the same on a bicycle. It is how I teach kids to do it.
I enjoy the heck out of your vids, your enthusiasm, and the Minor nuance's like clutch control close ups, I can't say I'm going to attempt big obstacles like you ( I'm 64 and drop my poor bike enough already) but have gained confidence to enjoy the challenges that I encounter on the trail. I look forward to joining one of your classes!
Absolutely love you passion and enthusiasm in everything you do Rich! I have also found your training techniques and tips excellent - when I follow your instructions from a video, I pick up the skills very quickly. You’ve definitely really refined the art of training. Thankyou for everything you bring to the sport, and I hope you know that many of us who have seen your journey over the years are very impressed with what you’ve put together here and how far you’ve come! Continue being you - because it is inspiring to see 😊👍
Love your videos. They have definitely helped go from a get the front tire up and give it hell kind of rider to being confident enough to take on some gnarly climbs without feeling like I'm winging it.
This guys is like Yoda…I don’t understand everything he says, and I’m willing to listen to everything he says. That gap isn’t on him, it’s 100% with me. Thanks Rich for putting so much care into this. Your passion for riding is truly amazing 🤟
I've learned pretty much all my riding skill form your videos and just wanted to say thank-you for all the valuable information and entertainment, your the man Rich, keep uo the good work 😉
what you call power collection reminds me of blade "stickiness" from the book of 5 rings as well as "sticky hands" technique from wing chun, some people might relate it more to the mighty ducks scene where they are passing an egg with hockey sticks. the practice is about staying in contact, making adjustments and cradling the energy. another way to say it would be "balanced energy absorption". great video, keep up the good work!
Rich, you are the great person and GOAT of Hard Enduro teaching and education, too bad i'm far far far away from you to visit your training camp . I enjoy watching all the videos from you , and thank you for that.🔥👋
Your videos are amazing good and didactic.. You are not only an amazing pilot with fine and sharp skills but you are also able to transmit your knowledge in a clear and structured way..! Thanks so much for this amazing content.. Hope to have the opportunity to join one of your trainings in US in persona…! finally you speak very clean english what make the life of non native speakers much more easy.. Thanks
Hello my friend. First of all thank u a lot for sharing your advices through your chanel that is a gold mine for me. I really love the way u teach. I did search but i couldn't see any video of the importance of tire pressure in ur chanel. Could u make one some day? I used to ride with 14psi at the rear and then friends get me to 5 psi. That became day and night in my riding . Love from France
Great video, as always. Very good approach - even for newcomers like me. Too bad you're not coming to Germany ;-). I would love to learn these drills. I'm riding an Epure Race 2021 and trying to get control of the throttle and clutch. The throttle with flywheel is a bit different every time I let the clutch in and therefore not as predictable as with a gasoline engine. Maybe you have a tip for me. Best regards from Germany, Thorsten
Glad you enjoyed the video! Maybe one day I’ll get to Germany! As far as the throttle and clutch control goes on the electric motion machines. I have found trying to reduce the amount I’m using the clutch helps. I ride the bike more in the outside of the friction zone and focus on not over using the clutch. Obviously I’m using it a similar amount but it’s all about trying to keep the clutch in the sweet spot of the friction zone and never pulling it all the way in. Hope that makes sense
Yes, of course, thank you very much for your quick help, that's very kind of you. Germany really is a beautiful country. There really is a lot to see: castles, palaces, lakes, mountains and not just the German autobahn 😀. I wish you continued success with your channel and, above all, good health
Coming from many years of 2 strokes to now owning a 4 stroke. Definitely struggling with power delivery and collection. Plan on working on that this season a lot. Can hardly slow wheelie this thing been a long winter waiting to practice
I’ll be keeping an eye out for details about the Washington clinic. I ride all over here in the Cascades and do a lot of trail clearing with the chainsaw. If you get a chance to spend a day or two exploring, I’d be happy to give you some advice on what is clear And running good that time of year.
I’ve been watching your videos for a few years and they are awesome. The power collection idea is totally new to me. I have a rekluse cx in my 300 and 500 because I’m an older rider and I can ride longer in technical terrain. Have tried power collection with a cx?
Thank you for your awesome videos. I started to see your 10 part progression videos but I stopped at number 3 since I realize I’m riding with a very bad position. I cannot ride with the balls of my feet’s. Do you have any recommendations to start riding with the balls of my feet’s? Because I feel I don’t know how to move the feet’s when I need to brake or change gear. I search your videos about body position but this looks like a very beginning thing that you assume everyone does 😅 Thank you once again. Keep with the good work
I have 2 questions about your classes. First is: do you only take people with dirtbikes? Or anyone who is looking to hard Enduro? I've been actively putting my 890 in these situations. I have a few shorts up. Unimpressive from most dirt riders point of view I'm sure, but I'm getting better thanks to your videos and practice. Second: do you still do 1 on 1 classes? Since I ride alone 100% of the time I'm never sure where I stand and what group classes I should join. If I had a 300 2T I'd call myself a late stage beginner, but compared to the common ADV rider, I would consider myself a mid-late stage intermediate. My main problem I'm having a hard time with is loading power correctly. I'm sure it's a mix of lack of time on the bike and throttle control but I'm curious how I look for a second point of view, if there is anything else I'm missing.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a dirtbike to get back into riding and eventually another road bike. I think I just found the clinic I need !
This is the zen of riding, the philosophy of two wheel life. I want this, I need this, I need to get there physically. Why am I on the OTHER SIDE of this PLANET!?
That’s definitely a valid idea! I do believe the timing side of things comes from repetitions of these three pillars! Timing is an instinct! Which these are deliberate skills that we use to gain instinct. There’s definitely a connection there!
Thank you all so much for the support of this channel and what we’re doing!
I hope to see you all at a clinic

Did you ride trials ever bro? awesome video as usual.
Yes I do! Thanks for watching!
thank you Rich for you hard work
My pleasure! Thanks for the support!
How about Arizona this winter Rich?
Rich is the only riding 'teacher' worth paying attention to.

Great website man, props 👌

You should come to the UK to do some clinics! 👀🤘
Hi Rich, Are you coming to Australia? I would take a class
Please call out what gear ur in and when applying which brake
What gear I’m in won’t necessarily be the same gear you’re in. I never called out the gear because every bike and everyone’s gearing is different.
Where is clinic schedule? website redirects to FB and see no schedule, located in southern Oregon but will travel.
The website doesn’t redirect you to Facebook. There is a clinic schedule here.

I can teach a bit on the big bike although it’s not ideal the techniques do transfer over.
I do one on ones here in SLC although less frequent.
@IRCTireUSAMoto I'm curious: What makes skills harder / different on this type of bike? Just the sheer weight?
I've been toying with the idea of getting a dirtbike to get back into riding and eventually another road bike. I think I just found the clinic I need !
