Such a sick Batman, especially with the gun! I don't care what anybody says. You can't beat McFarlane for quality and price. Hard to believe you can get such an awesome wired cape and still keep the price at almost 20 bucks. Won't happen ANYWHERE else... He looks SO good with that Superman! Now THAT is the World's Finest! They are the perfect pairing! He'd look pretty awesome with the blue platinum version as well. I plan to display mine with the First Appearance Superman and display copies of their comics with them.
Except for the "grasping" pair of hands, this one is a pretty solid "classic version" Batman figure. I even got the Platinum version of this for a good deal.
I might have to get two of the Detective Comics #27 Batman, so I can give the cloth wired cape to my custom Batman. My possible recipe would be as follows: • Head, Gloves, & Boots of Three Jokers • Body of Black/Grey Hush • Belt & Briefs of DC vs. Vampires • Wired Cape of Detective Comics #27 It will just be a matter of actually getting them.
I was happy to get this. The only issue with mine is there is a bit of space between neck and chest at the front when he looks straight forward. The wired cape is amazing!
I can't wait to get this guy in hand. The head swap on the Spawn 2 Pack Batman is a perfect JLA Batman. That's how it should have come in the Plastic Man wave!
People exaggerate when they say McF is like a statue, but they are indeed much stiffer than pretty much any other line in existence, outside maybe Neca. You can pose them, but the torso, which is the worst in the business together with the poor leg movement ends up with a stiff and unnatural looking figure if you go overboard and try some more exotic poses, compared to all the other lines out there. And if you actually collect outside north american figures and you end up with Mafex or Revoltech, that's where the statue comments come from. It's also how abrupt and ugly the knees and elbows are cut on all McF figures compared to again, every other line on the market so more dynamic poses end up looking pretty ugly. The way they cut the joints on the Superman from Crisis on Infinite Earth wave is the best they've done yet and a step in the right direction. And the recent Cyborg Superman looks even better. If all the figures would have joints cut like that they'd look much, much better.
I don't know how old you are the people that exaggerated McFarland started out with five points of articulation with this figure is Denny added a little bit more here and there.. after a while he went straight to statues. So now it is not exaggeration.
I guess all lines have figures that are really posable and some that are very limited... So it's kinda hard to just say one line has no articulation and be correct... All of the newest Movie Batman figures from Mcfarlane have better forward crunch .. various other figures also randomly have a good forward crunch...with Legends sometimes using that ancient waist cut that has no side to side movement you can't just claim all lines have it articulation down... Although I agree that alot of the cuts that McFarlane makes are sometimes really choppy and I'm not a fan ... I guess it's like people who love yamaguchi...those figures have horrible ball joints and crazy bad cuts...So in the end I guess it just depends on what is appealing to each individual collector...👍💀
With all due respect please stop being lazy and skipping over articulation.. sure it's easy to say that we've all seen it but you don't know that for sure this could be someone's very first video you should always treat it that way. Going to be completely honest with you sometimes one figure maybe stiffer than the other so as someone sees one video and thinks that the range is limited and then someone else does a review on the same figure and there's more give you're not going to know that if you don't show it
If I see something new I'll mention it but other than that if I've done the same body 8 times I'm not going over it... I just did the new Page Punchers Superman and did the whole articulation... One thing I'm not is lazy...that's for sure...👍💀
