    Thanks for sharing this video. It brought back a lot of memories and surprisingly,dug up old emotions in me that i thought were buried forever.

    Aircraft seen here include an Aer Lingus BAC 1-11-200, a BEA BAC 1-11-500 and an Iberia DC-9-32.

    I remember going to see the first Jumbo (Boeing 747) to land in Ireland (early 70s?) The tail of it was almost as high as the old terminal building.

    the towers of ballymun must have only been up a few years when that was filmed

    It must have been filmed after 09SEP1969, because that is when the first B737QC with large cargo door was delivered. It can be seen first at 0:16 and then better at 2:10.

    We’d hike out from Finglas . Bring some sandwiches and chocolate . Go to the observation level , wander about freely , great day out

    Looks like they were building the back then new terminal 1. Ah the days when you could bring a box of TNT as carry on luggage. And no housing estates to complain about the noise, as I say the airport was there first if you want a quiet life don't buy a house there.
