Between this and the Golf Digest overview of the course vid. This looks like great fun to play. As a spectator on TV to watch it looks a treat too. On the course less so. Curious to see the course in wet weather too. The 6th reminds me so much of Loch Lomand's 14th, minus a stream. GG Tron.
The sound when Tron hits his shots is a little woodchopper-like. is he more like a recreational golfer? Thought you guys were all golf nerds. This seems like an awesome US Open course btw. Great video. Looks like a course that if they want, they can make the winning score around par again. Carnage and hero
I’ve been fortunate enough to play LACC N 3 times. Incredible golf course and very hard. It reminds me a lot of a harder version of Kapalua. It’s truly a second shot golf course. You can hit every fairway and shoot 10 over easily. It’s all about iron play and putting.
I was out there today and for a course that is always in good shape, it is in phenomenal condition. Chris Wilson and his crew deserve a ton of credit. It's going to be a great Open.
I think soly needs to look up pga tour average proximity to the hole from various distances. His expectations are out of control lol. Hint: from 100 yards it’s 18’5”. That’s the best on the planet. Relax bro! You’re very good at golf!
Unless they let the rough totally be since this was filmed, the long-hitters will absolutely crush this track. Only weather, green speeds and pin placements will be a factor. Suspect we will see -15 in the end.
Not true. There are plenty of great spots. The area from 10-15 can easily be navigated with stands where you can see shots on multiple holes. Left side of 5 fairway is another great spot, you can walk back and forth from 5 and the driveable 6.
@@peteroggeman There's no way Soly is a genuine scratch player, I've never played with a low handicapper who blades 3 wedges in a row from the fairway on a short par 4, even I don't do that anymore and I'm off 10. Honestly these guys should *currently* be around 5hc and 7hc.....the 1hc and 2hc players I occasionally play with are noticeably better and more consistent and don't blade 3 wedges in a row. Maybe if these guys played more often they could get down to 1 or 2 but judging by this video they are currently nowhere near that level of performance.
@@GolfingDolphin you're betraying an over-reliance on what you think you can see and what you think you know. If you think you can judge someone's hc based on a few swings (or errors), you have a lot to learn. You're not a teaching pro, and you don't have the expert eye you think you do. Also, spend a bit more time paying att'n to the NLU fellas and you'll realize they're all humble and honest. No one's lying about their handicaps in that crew.
@@peteroggeman 'you're betraying an over-reliance on what you think you can see and what you think you know' 🤦♂ It's literally in the video for everyone to see. I've been playing golf since Duval won the Open, *GENUINE* 1hc players DO NOT BLADE WEDGES 3 TIMES IN A ROW, if you think they do then it's YOU who has A LOT TO LEARN. It's a very easy and obvious way to tell if someone has what's called a a 'vanity handicap' fyi. Also you are far too old to be fanboying over a youtube channel with guys who don't know you even exist and you don't know them. My advice to you is to try being less naive and less assuming 👍
Color grading. This looks like efforts were made to differentiate the camera footage. Surely there is a low effort solution to make it all look similar, and no turn purple, then yellow.
Holy Soly is in a rush to hit 5 bad shots in a row... Iwant the un-edited cut... I want to feel the time it takes and feel the sweat forming on his back.
Just discovering these guys and man , the swing mistakes these guys are making on their bad shots compared to their habits on their good shots is jariing and glaring. Just curious if those of you who are more familiar with their game notice this as well. First let me just say Theyre both very good golfers. Far above average. But it seems like when tron hits his bad shots his body completely closes up. His feet get narrow, his hips get stiff, his shoulders flatten out. When he takes the club away his hips dont open , his shoulders dont open, and his swing is all arm motion. This causes his arms to stay really tight to his body and his tempo gets really sped up and twitchy. He spins out like the taz . This provides him no room for era. If he doesnt time it up perfectly and use his hand eye coordination to get the club face onto the ball theirs no telling where the ball is gonna go. He had absolutely no compression and no control. If he was a less skilled, less talented golfer these shots would all be shanks but he has the hand eye coordination/skill to at least get the face squared up and create decent contact. On his chips shots this completely goes away, hes much more lose and relaxed in his approach, hes able to maintain fluidity during his take away and combined with a much more refined tempo hes able to let the club effortlessly slot into place. His control and touch is excellent. He really needs to take some of that into his long game. Soly on the other hand, it seems like every shot, especially demanding shots, i almost feel like hes golfing with a version of himself standing in front of him saying "you suck! You suck!" Ive never seen such a talented golfer just completely mistrust his own game like this. I almost wanted to go out on the course and give him a hug and a puff of some weed and tell him to relax and trust himself. One swing hisntempo speeds up, the next he doesnt stay in his posture, the next hes swinging for the fences. I feel like if he would just start slowing down his tempo and taking about 30% of the speed and power off of all of his shots he would would find the fluid dynamic swing that he obviously is gifted with. Idk. What do uou guys think am i completely off base or what? I look foward to diving more into their work im extremly impressed so far. Really enjoying everything about the channel. My friend who suggested them said that ichirito is their leader and like the father/adult figure of the group and the most talented golfer so im excited to check him out.
TC just hammering it off the tee. Imagine what Blockie could shoot if he got to play from there.
😂😂😂😂
"Played yesterday at Bel Air" Classic C-Suite comment.
Tron has always been a little too big for his britches. Not in stature of course. 😂
I’ve never heard someone refer to their fabric as dialed 😅
Two things, LACC has one of the best logos in golf without a doubt. And secondly it’s hilarious seeing Big Randal lurking out in the background
Large Randleton
I can really relate to Tron's self talk.
Imagine how good Tron would be if his aim line and where his ball actually starts we’re even remotely similar
*Soly with a clean uphill lie in a bunker on 15*
Also Soly: "I don't know what to do with that"
I used to work here as a greenskeeper before moving Utah last year. Greatest job I will ever have. 🙏🏻
"had this shot in R&D" - so freaking good.
Whoa this was quite the experiment in colour grading. Each angle looked it was a separate day.
Soly on 16 with an all time quote:
“Arturo doesn’t like this play but I think we can do it”
*duff
“I cannot”
that's why you take a caddie! listen to them blindly 🤷♀
“Don’t worry Artsy, this one’s on me.”
As if I wasn't already excited for the US Open. Another banger as usual
Loving these film rooms keep em coming!
What's Soly's Strokes Gained Bright Lights looking like?
Wish you played stroke and holed everything. Would really like to know what you guys shot around there
No doubt the best course preview we’ll see for LACC before the Open. Good job guys
What a great look at the course. Just get the feeling this is going to be a thrilling US Open this year.
Awesome video, love these ones. But I’m a bit confused by the colour grading on this one at times.

I’m digging the camera filter from The Aviator on some of these shots

More excited for LACC than I was for Brookline honestly.
Course looks unreal
NLU hitting irons off the tee on 6 MY LORD THE IRONY
Is Soly doing open qualifing for the USOpen again this year? Hopefully yes!
Soly after the bunker on 15 with the”i dont know what to do with that” as the ball is still rolling was very very relatable. Rare W. Great video.

What a privilege for you two to to have the opportunity to play there...........
I've missed these videos!
How do you get access to courses like this?! And how did they let you film a round here?!
Did you guys start this social media thing just so you could go play these great golf courses?
I’m putting the blame on the last second Tanimal for the cameras’ white balancing 😂 Great vid and sick track tho, thanks NLU homies
new here, love seeing bogey golfers try and play US Open courses, very interesting!
Would love to see them play all the way back here. I’m sure tees were marked off
It would take them too long. It's no fun back there, feels like work.
The difference in yardage on the long par 4’s is 50-60 yards. The boys started at #5 playing at 440 yards vs the Open tees at 505 yards.
So good seeing the boys in Footjoys and Scotty Cameron’s
Why is that?
@@cervuscanadensis5634 because Callaway and Cuater were weird and didn’t fit them. And because Titleist is my favorite
Does this qualify as a BDW?
The odd Randy callouts make me crave more Big Randy content.
Any Vid from LA CC is total eye candy! Love Gil Hanse. Played Rustic & Soule⛳️😍
Rustic is one of my home courses. I love that place.
Soly, thank you for the tracers! Best in the biz.
Awesome episode! Tanimal defs will cause Soly's kid to say BABY'S FIRST SWEAR WORD. Get the book, there's a golf page!
Soly's hat is from where ??? What course ???
Not sure what happened at the Titleist fitting but TC's putting looking comfy....early Vision fund has TC lock for the upcoming Tourist Sauce
I need somebody to explain TC’s ball flight. I thought it was just a pull cut but then sometimes it draws near the end? Incredible stuff.
Love that hat that TC is rocking, where do I find it?
It’s The Tree Farm - private course being designed by Zac Blair
Need a WITB for tron. I remember him saying he had options for putters in a previous video but want to see what blade he’s got going in this video
Looks like Scotty Newport 2
Watching TC go through all his putters and different grips might give you the yips.
Ever since he went to the claw his putting has been much better he has said.
@@conorocallaghan9703 So did Morikawa. Maybe TC has found the secret sauce or it's an extended honeymoon period with the claw.
@@FBTRodz7 Fingers crossed, he still makes me a little uneasy over the shorter putts.
No one I root for less than TC. That being said LACC looks awesome
Could someone please get Tron to just work on not setting up 30 yards right of target? Just for like a month to try it.
Is this where I put an offer in on the house to the right of 4?
Wear is TCs cap from?
love the shot tracers, shoutout maui
LACC looks siiiiick
Watching you guys putt makes me think you might want to try a little aimpoint. Lol
You guys are very generous with the gimmes😂😂
What is the pine tree crescent moon logo?

How the hell do these guys not have 500k subscribers?
Play well. Looking forward to it.

Good driving Tron ☘️☘️☘️
Its fun listening to soly beat himself up. Very relatable
C suite member bemoaning the bunker sand is so on brand. 😂
Were they playing with Mac Bouch??
"You're going to be a father"- brilliant

Shadow on the shot tracer 🔥
Soly’s wedge on 6 was like one of Rick Shiels’s better ones
My guess is these 2 guys are between 5-10hc ?? Beautiful course though, lots of character, looking forward to the US Open

How many strokes is TC getting?
4
And he took advantage of all of them except 13 with that brutal 3 jack. Excellent victory from TC.
I mean, he guaranteed it!!! Bigtime W!
What hat is TC wearing? Its fresh!
I feel like ever since Soly did that speed training stuff a few years ago he's never swung it the same.
TC really tried to bring the power of Adam Scott with those colours
Its settled. After seeing this I will be taking all of the money Randy and I won on the Blockie missed cut and putting it on Cam Smith
TC asking for strokes and then guaranteeing victory… scummy.
Playing to character.
"You played the hole correctly, you just didn't execute!" How many of us can relate to that statement?
LACC better than Brookline? Soly would like that one back. Brookline by a mile.
LA Country club looks like a goat track compared to courses like TPC Wilson and Harding!
The People's US Open is happening there the same days, the la city championship
I’m sorry but claiming Lacc is a superior golf course to Brookline is crazy to me
Reminds me a lot of Rustic
Rustic doesn’t have quite the amount of danger, but wide fairways and protected green complexes, yes sir
