I have no problem with Will Brooks starting I've heard the other guys talk about how smart he is so he can be an on the field coach to get everyone in position to make plays sometimes brains is better than talent he may give up some plays but if he keeps everyone lined up and gives us a chance to stop them before they score rather a blown assignment that gives up easy TD
Barnett has 33 sacks in 3 years, instead of staying and adding sacks his senior year, he went to the NFL and won a superbowl that year instead. Barnett broke Reggie Whites record of 32, but White played every spot on the D- line, not just edge. James P has 12 total sacks going into his 3rd year. Needs 22 sacks this year to break the record. Tall task for sure.
As long as Martinez learned how to teach the Secondary how to put their hands up and challenge a damn ball, I'm good with whoever is back there
Remember during the Pruitt era we all convinced ourselves that our secondary was on its way to being really good because we had a top 20 pass defense, but that was only because we were giving up 200 ypg rushing? 😂
my point being: we should all consider our secondary a liability in SEC play until further notice. Our secondary hasn’t been a legitimate team strength since Eric Berry was in it.
That said, 2022 had a horrendous pass defense and we won 11 games. This year’s secondary should be better than that.

Idk about our secondary coach he just doesnt seem like a good coach...just imagine what we could do if we could hire someone as good as huepal but for our secondary
With our front 7 our secondary will just fine this year as we will probably have a top 15 defense or I sure think we will
@@CoryA77Unless the other team blocks their TE and RB and our secondary gets torched cause they have to cover for more than 3 seconds. Secondary has been a weakness since he got here. This year should be his contract year. We should’ve had more guys ready to play by this point but he’s turning to senior walk ons to avoid getting young guys in. It’s crazy
TN needs a better DB coach, it's the group that's holding them back and Willie isnt getting it better at all
If Willie wasn't a really good recruiter, he wouldn't be here!
