I had a friend who I thought was really genuine until now she just became toxic at school,lunch I found out she was talking smack about me and the fact that I was defending her because my mom and my grandma was complaining she is fake made me have a break down for weeks and when I found out this song it made me feel confident that I don’t need friends all the time and I have my self and that’s what matters.

I've been severely depressed for most of my life. Whenever I was at my lowest, I would try to socialize more often to distract myself from bad thoughts, even though being social was so incredibly exhausting and made me feel like trash, I felt like I really didn't have another choice. But once I got on antidepressants, I can finally feel at peace when I'm alone. It made me realize that when I'm feeling most myself, I don't really want to be around other people too much. People say that not being social or not having friends makes you a loser, but for people like me, not wanting to be around people was a result of being in a healthier state of mind
