I remember the first time I heard this song I was about 8-9 on the radio during a road trip. My mom turned around and told me to never change myself for others and I’m beautiful the way I am. When we got back to our house, I heard it again and got super happy and started listening to it over and over. I’m now 14 and I’ve been listening to it ever since. It sends a great message and remember you are beautiful just the way you are❤️

I've said these because I have dealt with being insecure about myself and my body. I was too skinny, and tried gaining weight by the most random things. It was bad for me. I tried putting on tons of make so one person can like me. But i realized that it's not the point of how someone else thinks of you, it's about how you think about yourself. And I want you to go in front of a mirror, no matter what time it is and say to yourself: "I am proud of who I am. I am beautiful and I know it. I don't have to change because being myself is something important."
Please do this, because I've seen multiple people deal with depression and mental health problems because of beauty.

I have the same problem I am underweight I have Anorexia and I try to cover it with makeup but this made me think "do I really need to do this?" and I am slowly putting on weight and I would like to thank you and please let me give you a tip don't look at your weight do not step on the scales because if you don't know your weight it isn't sitting on your mind I find when I don't know my weight I put weight on that I need and it really helps to have people like you around so please help yourself

And he still insulted her. So I taught him a lesson. He kept on calling her ugly. So... I insulted him to show him how it feels like. I called him pretty. And I did it in front of all his friends. Then, I left them alone and told my friend that it's ok to be how she is. She could be ugly or beautiful. What matters is that I loved her, and how nice she acted. 😊❣😇🥰

This is a very powerful song for me . I was born with a birthmark on my face when I was four I had to go for a surgery , they removed the birthmark but there is a visible scar across all my right cheek. I am so thankful for my doctors . For the past 3 years I've been struggling with loosing weight. My family keeps pressuring me to loose weight, to go on a diet, to stop eating so much. Even my aunts. Not in a positive way, but in a way that a makes me feel insecure and loose my self-esteem. I get body shamed. Not a rare thing, it's everyday. I've fallen into a pit of depression. I cry every night and wish that I was skinny. Sometimes I even think Im better off dead. It was that only one cousin of mine who stood up for me. She said, "weight, weight, weight! You've put this pressure on everyone! On her! Just why are you like this?". And another time when I was leaving my aunt told me "you better be skinny when I see you next time." And my cousin hugged me saying "your beautiful just the way you are." I wish I had more people like her in my life. She is one of my best cousins. May God give her a long life. This message also took alot of tears out of me, right now I'm filled with heavy tears in my eyes, i can barely see.
