Omg! You’ve just confirmed we can grow this variety from seed and get the exact fruit. Now you can cross pollinate with it and create your own palora cross variety!
Hey Richard! I recently got some cuttings of my own! I got Delight, Nicaraguan Red, Bloody Mary, and Vietnamese white. I am so excited! They look amazing, and are doing awesome in their new homes!
Super vidéo même si je comprend pas trop c'est tellement bien fait que pas besoin de parole. Je sui sur l'île de la Reunion et j'apprécie vrmt tes vidéos bne continuation ✌️🏝️🌋
So funny I bought some just a couple of days ago and took the seeds out and planted them in a cup. They are so so yummy! I hope I have some luck as I have never grew any dragon fruits at all.
I have over a hundred baby palora seedlings I need to try grafting with a couple of them. 😆 My mouth is watering watching you eat them. I've tasted ecuador palora fruit once before and it was amazing so I know what mine of gold your biting into.
Hi Richard, thanks for all the informations of the dragon fruits that you have shared , enjoyed every one of them. Please inform me whenever you have extra cuttings of Ecuador Palora to share or sell. Thank you
Looking good. Congrats on the Palora. Excellent grafting seedling series. Simple and easy!!! I got this!!! You like those gloves for cactus spines? Looking for the best gloves for cactus growing and spines. Thannks.
So amazing love your channel, I just figured out what kind of seedlings I got going from your channel, it’s the Ecuador, I am so excited. I planted them last year and have many years left to go lol. Didn’t think about grafting them? I may have to try a few that way? Thank you so much for your amazing content!
I guess some people thought Palora was some kind of Megalanthus mutant and the seedlings were going to revert to a Colombian yellow, in fact there is a lot of different species of Megalanthus and Palora isn't even the bigger one, the bigger is the Amazonas from Peru. Since Megalanthus are self pollinating isn't weird to see their seedlings being almost equal from the mother plant, I think most of them won't be exactly the same but the differences won't be so easily noticeable either. Also there is a thing called "apomixis" that causes seedlings to be identical genetic clones produced from seeds, I know 20% prickly pear seedlings are exact clones from their parents, and cactuses have a lot of things in common, so I guess DFs should generate clones though seedlings also.
I have 4 diferent kind of dragon fruit all thanks to your videos.....ill be honered to have one of your kuttings from your Palora...Thanks for this 🎥 from Coachella California....
Well done my friend, I've been following your videos from the start. I started grafting red seedling variety in April and I am very satisfied with the result, in summer I grafted paloras and I am waiting for the result. once again well done!
I would love to know when you will sell this palora cutting. I would love to get me a couple cuttings. The fruits look so yummy in your video. Thanks for sharing your video!
Wow! Thanks for sharing Richard and great work on the Pelora project. Congratulations on the outcome and I am super excited snd stoked to begin on grafting some seedlings I have. I ate my first Ecuadorian Pelora bought from Ranch 99 in Dublin CA back in June this year and man, love at first bite! I tasted my first dragon fruit ever while in Vietnam (red skin/white flesh) and was not so much excited as it was a bit tart. But that Equadorian Pelora got me eating dragon fruit again! I have some germinated seeds by accident that I found in the compost bin where I threw the Pelora peel. I do have a question if ok to use an unknown root stock (could be red dragon fruit) for grafting? I have a couple lying around given by a relative and would like to use that as root stock…. Thanks again for your work man.. I will follow your procedure to the tee and hope I don’t mess it up.
I just got my hands on a Ecuador Palora seedling. If I let it grow and then graft it's cuttings onto a rootstock will it still work the same to speed up its fruiting time?!?!?
I watched the series now, from what I take you need to have some base already to graft onto? I only grew seedlings from the "regular" white flesh dragonfruit (which is practically the only one we see over here), and they are *very* slowly growing. Though since you're only wearing a shirt in december (when we have ~5°C here in germany), I also guess you need some climate to even get fruit at all ;)
I am wondering how long would it take for the plant to bear fruit if it was planted from a more or less 8'' long stem? Also how many harvest could be made in a single year? Congratulation by the way amazing results!
Just watched 3 of your pruning veidos were helpful with what they are about but am looking for how long to let branches grow can i cut them shorter for example my PINK PANTHER and RED JADE Dragons some of there branches are getting to 2.5 meters and longer what to do any help would be great.
Do you need to pollinate dragon fruit? We had one in our backyard but we just let them be was able to get 4 fruits already. It is a red skinned one with white inside
Hi, would loved to have some of your yellow dragon fruits cuttings,I have one now ordered it in Amazon last summer, but I think it's from seeds not from a matured cuttings,it's in the pot but I'll want something from cuttings, because these are very skinny while growing up.I leave here in VA,I wonder if it's even going to bear fruits here, but our kalamansi is good.maybe I can make it fruit here.
If we don’t graft how long it will take to give fruits from seed. Have you studied this. One of the other RUclips they got fruits after 20 months. Please share the information.
Dude how do I get my cuttings?! I want to buy them but aren’t sure if that’s the right way to go. Please let me know bro your the reason why I’m growing this tasty plant lol
The Pitahaya are Yellow, and are a member of the Dragon Fruit Family. Dragon Fruit itself is red. I am about to plant 250 National Yellow Ecuador and wonder if they are the same as Palora?
Congratulations man! Also, in your experience what is the cold tolerance of the yellow spined dragon fruit? I live in South Florida and I've been protecting them whenever it goes below 60 degrees. Am I doing the right thing?
Probably unnecessary. I live in southern Brazil and we almost got to freezing temperatures this last winter, the harshest winter in many decades. All of my 10 dragon fruit plants were fine. They can probably endure light frost even. What they don't like is damp soil, which can cause root rot and copper rust on the stems.
Harvest day is the happiest day for any farmer. Congratulations, brother
Congratulations Richard 👏 👏 👏 👏 you did the graft, followed through and now tasting the fruit!!
This was...Genius!! 🤗🎈🎉🎊👍😃Thank you!

Hello Richard, Can you recommend the grafting tools you like to use on Dragon Fruit?
Hello, thank you for the informative information. how can I get a cut of the yellow dragon fruit?
i would love to buy a cutting from you - love all your videos

Is Ecuador palora self fertile? Or do you need to cross pollinate it?
