This video is awesome. Born and raised in Indiana, chasing the sprint cars around the midwest with my grandpa. Randomly met mark and marks son Cole at soccer camp when I was younger and became good friends. Seeing things like this just brings me back and how much I miss it all. Unfortunately I live in Florida now so things just aren't the same. Thank you for posting this

17:03 I've never seen a Bridgeport with a long table and sliding head like that before. Is that a Karl Kinser design? I'm thinking it is just like the VW roof bubble on his trailer in the 90's that allowed it to work like a stacker. Karl is a treasure.

Karl was an innovator in the Sprint car world. He could show up with the right rear bolted on the left front and everybody would be running to the pits to do the same. Very clever cagey guy. Glad to see him in good health. Thanks for the videos.

Not one driver and team in any other form of racing.
Has as many feature wins or championships. John Force is the only one , I can think of with 14 or 16 championships.
I think Jan opperman could of had numbers. Like that if he didn't get hurt.
What Steve & Karl did we will never see again. I'm so lucky, that I got to see. Alot of that happen 🙂

I think Mark is often overlooked and even when he’s not people seem to give most of the credit to Karl but he’s easily one of the all time WoO greats. He accomplished alot in a very short period of time compared to Steve, Sammy, Jac, Donny etc.

Bubby Jones won. My guess is that was the Don Peabody Classic in the early 1980's. Steve, Sammy, and Doug would show up at ascot without wings for the money races back then. I remember one summer they finished 1,2,3 and the ascot boys weren't even close. Great to see a mention of that great racetrack here.
