Had to edit it heavily, lots of underlying stress going on there with the launch, and like the water, the overflow was the reflection of the day. Cheers.
I just now saw your list of remaining tasks. I have seen and experienced "over-whelmimg" task lists like this. It may take two, or three times, as many man-hours as you have identified. The only question is deciding what must be done to justify declaring that you have assembled a safe, reliable vessel, and rigidly maintaining integrity in your task list. Take care because this is where one can make mistakes that will sink your boat at sea. Your team has accomplished most of an enormous series of dependent tasks. A steady, efficient pace will support your team's capabilities to complete the critical-path items. Steady leadership, fortitude and integrity are the elements of success, from the beginning to the legitimate completion. God bless you all!
Sure am glad that I've seen footage of you after the launch to know that you two didn't commit a double homicide weeks before moving day! You guys are awesome!
Too funny Kev, I found a photo of you both yesterday when you visited me, wow that was a long time ago, about when the water tanks were going in. Cheers mate.
Windows...windows...windows. Look everyone it actually has windows! (LOL) Just teasing... They do look very rich. Great work. That advice about filling all the little holes. That might have escaped me. Good thing your viewers have been carefully monitoring the work. It shows you have a loyal following!
Looking good rossco ..... When you mentioned putting the salt and pepper shakers on the shelf under the window, my immediate thought was "Yeh! How long are they going to stay up there?" (especially at sea). SOLUTION: Build a small stainless steel rail around the edge of that shelf. Happy 2025 enjoying you Life on the Hulls.
Great to see both high and lows of the build, bet there were a few melt downs over the years almost time to have a cold one, or two at anchor ( bet you are in real time)
Feel your pain on the bilge pump. I just used one to flush my water heater with vinegar. When done i thought id best flush the vinegar out of the pump. Ill just put it in bath tub without a hose and itll be ok. Ha! I plugged in the pump it shot water straight up about 8', hit the ceiling and proceeded to shower the entire bathroom in the ten seconds or so it took me to unplug it!
Oh mate. So close to launch date I am as excited as you are. When I built my 35ft cat my wife was a rock. I would get frustrated and grouchy and she just carry on in her quiet way. Helping me giving huge support and also looking after our new son. If your time aboard is even 1/2 the fun we had over the 5 years we lived aboard you both are in for a wonderful challenging time. Wish you both the very best. You have an awesome partner mate 😊😊😮😮
It's shocking to think I've watched every one of your videos, Ross. Amazing to think that after all these years of sweat, blood and swearing, she's gonna splash.
@@LifeOnTheHulls just kidding around and offering a little levity. Janet sounded pretty stressed at the time. I would say send me a ticket and I would handle all the rest of the hookups for your water system but I would think it’s completed by now. Great job BTW!
I know it's pointless commenting as you are now Afloat but those worktops in my humble opinion would have been better left just with the rounded edge insted of that little fine lip/ detail as things can get stuck on there like food juice etc. In passages or food prep or drink prep. All the best but looking good. PS as and english person i don't sniff gules.
@@LifeOnTheHulls Honestly, when we built out house, the air was blue when stuff like that happened, which it did, a lot. Enough to make a sailor blush. All is good after a nice cup of tea though :)
Why have you worked for years and now put the stress of this self imposed deadline on yourself. I just can't see what the big hurry is all about ,if it takes another year I just dont understand doing this to yourself when its not necessary. It just doesn't make much sense to do this after all these years.
I know right? I'm mustering through at 2x but pretty much lost interest. A better way would've been to up the video release schedule so that it coincided with the launch. It would've taken some planning and forsight but most of all consideration for his viewers as more than a revenue stream. But this isn't the first channel to tap into the youtube schtick. I follow very very few of them after launch because frankly most of them aren't personalities I want to waste my time investing in.
Wow! Your boat is looking so beautiful! What an absolutely wonderful job you’re doing! I have a question though. Do you still have a backside after dropping the desktop?🥹 I hope so and I imagine Janet is pretty forgiving and hopefully the finish was set up enough that it didn’t get damaged. I know it can be hard working with your spouse, but you should count your blessings. I wish my wife and I could work half as well as you and Janet, but unfortunately that’s not in the cards for me. We work together, but it can be a rough and challenging task. Sorry I haven’t commented for a while. We have recently moved and I too have been very busy. I have just recently had a chance to catch up on your adventures. Have a wonderful New Year! And as always, thanks for sharing!
Love the melt down, just shows you both are real people.

‘Worse things happen at sea’ - one of my common phrases when people give me a sob story.😉😀⛵️👍
Good episode Ross
F***!!! the look on Janet's face when you dropped the desktop was priceless

I am absolutely addicted to life on the hulls, I cannot believe you haven't hit 100k subs at the very least. Love the work ethics!!!!
It's because nowadays, people aren't interested in building things and learning how to's. Or how not to's. LOL
Ya gotta take the good with the bad mate, she turning into a beautiful vessel Rossco.
Very smart tops Ross 👍🏼
❤ honestly Janet your a trooper ❤😅
This is one of the only channels that does all the building right. Keep up the professional work so others know how to build a nice boat.
Has it been four years? Wow. I should get up out of this chair, lol.
I know its crazy isn't it, the time has stood still in that bloody tent.
It is wonderful to see this stage with all your meticulous detail. She is a beautiful boat. Hope yall continue videos on the water.
Sure am glad that I've seen footage of you after the launch to know that you two didn't commit a double homicide weeks before moving day! You guys are awesome!
I dont get some folks. Knowing that the boat is on the water already doesn't lessen my enjoyment of your videos.
Bringing tears to my eyes Ross. Almost hate to see it in the water.
Too funny Kev, I found a photo of you both yesterday when you visited me, wow that was a long time ago, about when the water tanks were going in. Cheers mate.
Cheers, yes long time but good memories. Waiting for you to head towards the Pacific Northwest.

It’s a credit to you both amazing amount of work going into this boat

Looking awesome Ross! Can’t wait to see the launch! Janet is gold. Glad you both are finishing it up together. Stay safe you two!
Great work, as usual. Good to see you both handle the stresses well and can still have a laugh.
Its gotta be a great feeling to see your hardwork growing before your eyes.congrats to you and your wife.
Do it a bit quicker! priceless.
Feel a little guilty for laughing at Janet there at end! 😂 Glad it all got sorted. Onward.
Looks great! 💪🏼🤘👍
Nice desk. Nice reaction. Faaak
You guys rock! 🇨🇦
The windows are sleek! 👍
Welcome to the Reality of Boat Building!

Really opens inside up.without paper on windows. Looks much bigger.
Reminds me of a star wars storm trooper 😂🤣
Funnily enough one of my mates owns a Caramaran called stormtrooper
@ - his a 1980’s kid than… 😂🤣. Star wars was mind-blowing when it came out first.
in the end you laughing about the problems... u fix this !!
Nice desk ...... Oppps Fffffffflip ..
Paddlepop stick and soapy water spray rossco and there is no need for masking your caulking joints they will come out far better
It's shocking to think I've watched every one of your videos, Ross. Amazing to think that after all these years of sweat, blood and swearing, she's gonna splash.
Hooking a pump up is pretty simple, sure you don’t need help with the sinks and toilets?
Janet was tampering with the fitting to improve the flow, funny stuff, but not so funny at the time.
@@LifeOnTheHulls just kidding around and offering a little levity. Janet sounded pretty stressed at the time. I would say send me a ticket and I would handle all the rest of the hookups for your water system but I would think it’s completed by now. Great job BTW!
Darmok on the ocean. Temba, his arms wide.
😂😂😂 you need to test all aspects of your boats functionality 🤣🤣🍺🍺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Making a huge mess whilst testing, including drenching Janet.
If that happens again just grab the pump and turn it sideways

"Janet's just finished our desk" ;) classic.
Too funny, trashed the whole desk.

I thought it said "her thighs ..." OMG :)
The "turn it off" voice sure didn't sound like it came from a small person, lol.
"It's a boat, so it must be wet". Sweat, swearing, making up.
Get a better screwdriver man! ;-)

😮😡 this video maybe 42 weeks away. But, you're in the water already 😡
42 days mate,
Sorry mate. Boat is in the water and you are talking 42 days before launch. I know it’s your process but you lost me. Fair winds

Maybe you can get back all the money you’ve paid for these videos…
Jannet having kittens 😂🤣, its only a water for gods sake… 🥸
Was pretty full on mate.
@ - I guess you had to be there, you both sorted it. I am loving the intetia and how its shaping up.
