Yeah, I think it was "Hugu" who was rocking the Torva with Crafting cape. Justiciar has slightly worse magic defense, but better prayer bonus and damage reduction versus monster than Torva.
I started buying purple sweets on day 4 or 5 I think, they were like 1.5k each so getting +1k+ wasn't too bad. Afterwards they skyrocketed to 10k pretty quickly, and even higher later on.

Noted food and potions can be used on bank booths at all banks to regain supplies very quickly, even if you are attacked by player, and you don't have to mess with the bank interface. It is used very commonly in Deadman for "Bank Fights" and "Bank Tanking". Some people probably brought them just incase they would have a chance to resupply before all the banks would be filled by the fog. I looted them kinda accidentally in the heat of the moment because all the brews were highlighted, noted or not.
