Wow to hear Wash explain at 12:00 his thought process for sending Rosario in last year's NLCS against the Dodgers is like hearing Einstein break down an equation.

The amount of knowledge Ron Washington has about the game is magisterial. He reads the game like a book. Braves are so lucky to have him. He is worth any amount of money.

Ozzie is highly destructive on the basepaths. An Ozzie triple with various pieces of equipment strewn around is one of the coolest things in baseball. I approve of this video.

I don't know how we can replace Wash and "E.Y." for this coming 2024 season. Our loss is the Texas Rangers gain. But, I do believe that in all sincerity Wash deserves to be a Manager. We will miss him, but will also be grateful for everything he did for the Braves Organization. ❤

Im a Padres fan...and yet when Wash' was managing in Texas, I actually watched more Ranger games, than Padre games, at that time. SD got better, and before Bob Melvin was hired recently to manage SD, Ron Washington was on Preller's short list of guys he had in mind, to manage the Padres. I even remember an interview Wash' did with a media rep from one of the radio stations that cover the Padres..and it was basically an on the spot interview, because Wash' made it known that he wanted to manage the Padres.
Manny Machado even spoke up and said that he would LOVE for Wash to be hired. Tatis, same thing. So, he got a shot..and for whatever reason, Melvin was hired, instead...but to just show how classy Wash is...when Bob was hired, Ron said out loud that Bob was the best man he ever worked for in Oakland, and that San Diego couldn't do any better than hiring Bob Melvin. That coming from a guy who took Texas to back to back World Series.

I have to give it to ron you have to have a mind like tack to think as fast as he does to make a decision as soon as the ball is hit with a cheetah like albies on 2 nd he has to go full matrix mode to get all the motions in his head to make a decision on albies to go or stay I have to give it to him I would have severe anxiety lol

this video isnt just interesting, inasmuch as it shows what a good base stealer like Albies is thinking...but it also shows how good the coaches are. Wash' isnt just a class act human being...he's been one of the best 3rd bag coaches, for a LOT of yrs. And I can remember EY first breaking thru with a coaching gig, when he was the 1st base coach in Colorado...you dont hear a negative word about him, from players or anyone else. Now in contrast, you have a solid human being in Phil Nevin...but he never had any business being ANYONE'S 3rd base coach...and that was revealed VERY EARLY on. These coaching gigs, are really important..if the players cant trust your judgement, then what the Hell are you doing out there?

The coaches should address the team as a whole. To be Major League players, those guys have too many base running blunders because they're impatient and too aggressive. Gotta play smart baseball.
