Trust me ive been growing for the past year and a half and you will have people saying it looks ugly and you should cut it blaw blaw blaw, DONT LISTEN TO THEM. After the awkward stage I swear those same people will come back and fall in love with your hair. Stay strong!
Yup I literally had a co worker tell me my hair looks like shit because I’m growing it out. Cheers cunt.
Except prejudicial people like the evangelical Christian in my town, not all are prejudicial but a lot of them are
Haven’t gotten a haircut since August and let me tell ya, best decision of my life lol
Same dude
Same
Same here!
me from March☕️😂
Haven't cut my hair for 362 days
I’ve been growing my hair out for 13 months now. I can relate to most of the things Joe talks about here. Patience and confidence are key.
Some people may judge and have strong opinions against long hair, but at the end of the day, it's hair and it's yours, have fun!
Most guys are bald by 25 anyway so rock it
Also been exactly 13 Months for me
Did had any hair fall
@@Homeworksuks1 exactly, long hair is a flex
@@Homeworksuks1 that is factually incorrect, a minority actually turn bald visually and not at young adulthood but later ages, but yes long hair is more attractive and feels more natural too, historically males had longer hair as well, it was very recently (midth 20th century) that males started cutting hair very short, but it is already out of fashion now, as longer hairstyles for males become more popular again
I just cant unsee his hairline as a iphone nodge upside down😭😂
he does have great hair, but indeed, the first thing I noticed watching, different styling would easily solve it but a straight slick back is not recommended
That's the first thing I noticed when I first ran into his channel. But he does have good hair it's just the hairline.
Still has good hair for his age. Most ppl his age or even younger are going through male pattern baldness
I have the same hairlineee oh no. Now I don't wanna grow my hair out 😭
notch*
“What kind of man are you...hmm. You got strong wit?”
hmm not sure if that actually makes sense
Blumaan it was what you said at 5:45
😂 he just want attention he don't want ur heart
Got to this video as I felt like I started giving up on growing it out for about 7 months. But here on this whole page, it's full of motivation to keep going. Most of the comments have one thing to say! Quite enough for me to go further. Thanks dudes.
I love the slight waves you develop in the back and ends of the hair while growing it out. It looks cool and I like the contrast between the front.
I cut my hair a little less then a month ago. Watching this video makes me want to grow it out...yes!!! I'm going to do it. Wish me luck guys.
Go ahead
You and me both.👑
Quick thing I've noticed is that I've started to lose a lot more hair in the shower as I've grown it out but I've looked it up and it seems to be normal. As your hair gets longer you lose/appear to lose more hair. So if any of you face that issue, don't worry, you are (probably) not balding.
facts! I have always been amazed by how much hair my wife looses in the shower, now i know it's just more noticeable because of the longer hair haha
I dont lose a lot of hair in the shower. Do you brush it while its wet?
Just for an ex- you have a 1000 hairs and you lose like 10 in a wash ...yeah not that much and you have like 10k hairs and you loose 100 ... it's the same proportion after all
Bingo I was searching for this comment everywhere .
@Cthulhu Well yeah, that's kinda what I meant, because it's longer, you notice it more
I grew my hair for 2 and a half years between 2018 and 2020. The first six months were rough, it probably looked at its best after a year and a half. So don't worry anyone who is growing it out now...it will get there. Now I have short hair again and I miss it.
Yeah Same here I too miss my hair after cutting it short
Hey Joe, for me it's almost 4 months of growing hair And this type of videos always motivates for more ,so keep making more stuff👍❤️
being able to embrace the awkward stage boosts your confidence once you get over it. been growing my hair out for 7 months now its getting better and personally i careless about what people think now. Gonna go for a man bun :D
Thank you for this ! I've been trying to grow my hair out for a year and half and I go for trims every once in a while and every single time the stylist takes off way too much (when i specifically say I'm trying to grow it out) and it just feels like my efforts go to waste. This video and comment section make me think I'm never doing that again and just letting it grow. Thanks guys !
So happy to see you back
I've been going for about 15 months at this stage. I've had a maintenance cut around 7 months ago and getting another one soon to even it out. Here's to the next 15 months of growing it further 😁
Great to see you back again man!!👍👌🎉🎉
I’ve been growing mine out for a few months and I’m definitely in the awkward stage. Thankfully imma teenager so I just embrace the crazy hair and sometimes wear a hat. I have the same very think hair that you have and I understand the struggles of the poof.
definitely needed this vid! been keeping my hair for up to 4 months now and i’m planning to keep it more
in which months are you?
Growing out my hair for the first time in over a decade. Honestly the "awkward" stage isn't as bad depending on what you're starting from. I feel like mine is already over and I'm 6 weeks in. My hair on top was already a good length to brush back and now I just slick the sides back with pomade and the length is unnoticeable.
Almost 9 months without a haircut here. Still going strong
Im at 10 months since no haircut, and a year since buzz cut 💪🏻
8 months here
1 year & 5 months
Same
6 months here
It,s Nice to see you back
This vid & your previous medium length vid really helped me while going through my awkward stage 🔥 , thx joe
Your hair looks great at all stages! So true the products you use change. I am growing out from pixie to whatever I end up and I am having fun at every stage. I heard the comments “You look better with the short hair,” or “You will be ugly with long hair,” but I am not listening. This is my metamorphosis and I am happy. I even learned how to use a hairdryer for the first time in on 30 years! 😂😂😂😂
Missed you man. Glad you're back
Cloud control and original is a must for me.
I use it for all my hair styles and I always get compliments 👌👌👌
Also it doesn’t hurt that the guy cutting your hair is Rikki Hixx; talented 🙌
I’d recommend to everyone looking to level up their hair game
Welcome back!!
Welcome back joe!
TBH Joe looks like the lion on the MONARCH MATTE paste WITH long hair 😁😁
Petition to replace the lion with Joe
Dude that isn't even long hair it the awkward stage hair and Joe is pretending like he have a man bun now
I think this what the monarch is designed to give you
Nice to see you back😄
9 months and 2 videos later RUclips choose to finally let me know my favourite RUclipsr is back
Great advise about the hats, I failed at month 10. When I get to this point I’ll order some cool hats to push me through that bad hair period pre man bun !
Yo my boy is back 💚
It's good to see you again
I love you man i mean blumaan you're the best
Been growing for like 7 months now, haven't had a good hairday in months but it's kinda addictive. Don't know where it will end
Your all hair styles are awesome
Thanks buddy for setting my mind set
I needed this, i was going to get a trim tomorrow
I can totally relate to you! My hair grows outwards and I am desperate to try to make it grow long so I can put it in a ponytail. I want to grow my hair really long.
Joe plz talk about the medium hair long according to face shape
We need that.
Been 1 year and 9 months since my last haircut, the hair has just reached the nipples now. Gonna need one soon for the out of control wolf hairs but I haven't minded before because of the social distancing. For me, my awkward stage lasted several months, so if you're growing be prepared, because sometimes it can last longer than for other people. I love it now tho. Also Joe is completely right about hair potentially being completely different when longer. My hair is really straight when it's short, but it's really wavey in the bottom half now when it's long. One thing I love about the really long hair is that I personally don't need to style it anymore. For short hair I needed to style it to look nice, but I don't need anything for really long hair (at least to the neck). One thing I hate about the long hair is the hair you lose daily is SO much more noticeable when it's long. On average you lose 100-150 hairs a day but you don't notice it when it's short. The long hair makes it super noticeable. So don't be worried when it feels like you're losing so much hair. It's normal.
Welcome back bro
thanks for this joe! was almost gonna run to the barbershop for a trim lol. last year on my bday nov 2020, i buzzed my head and i made sure it stays like that up to July 2021. then i let the top grow and the sides trimmed monthly up to nov 2021. planning to not get a cut/trim until July 2022 or longer. Wanted to know how my hair's gonna look with medium/long length.
Great video!
Joe, quick question for you (or anyone who sees this). I'm at month 7 with my sides and back while my top is on month 13+ so there is obviously a drastic difference in length. I have the fine hair type but a lot of it and am struggling with my sides curling up and being legit uncontrollable no matter what I do. I have your sampler pack so am curious what product you'd recommend as a pre (if i should) or post blow dry to try and control this awk stage for my sides. Appreciate any responses!
About to start this journey
Love your contents Joe keep going
Missed ya, luv ya bro. Your awesome, good to see you.
Been growing my hair out whilst working from home and every time my boss has seen me she says "get your hair cut" in a semi-joking way and it seriously stresses me out because of how much crap guys get for having any hairstyle (especially in a corporate office) that isn't a generic side parting or so a buzzcut - so glad I've pushed through and ignored her because I feel more like myself (even though I've never had long hair before) because I've always wanted it but with being isolated (ated... ated... ated...) I can finally grow it without everyone thinking they can make comments whenever they see me.
Missed you bro!
When I was growing out my hair before I cut it, using hats were such a life saver especially when I needed to go to work or if it failed and even then sometimes a hat doesn't look bad.
What an amazing haircut! I love it, beautiful hair!! 😎👍👌
Welcome back
I’ve always been scared to grow my hair out because of my hairline (it is thinning right at the top front) but I’ve been using product that is starting to get those hairs growing again. I’m just going to do it!
Which product
4 months into the process and got enough inspiration after Joe's comeback video on long hair
6 months here
Been growing for 3 months now, i have just started getting negative responses from people around but tbh i am enjoying it 😂
A lot of the time it just takes people to get used to you looking different, I wouldn’t put to much weight on it.
Bro, you gotta keep letting it grow. If you let it grow for around 10-12 months it would look INCREDIBLE. You’ve got that same thick hair that I do and basically what happens is it will grow out poofier and poofier until eventually it just drops from the weight and starts growing down and then it looks awesome. I would highly recommend giving some longer hair a shot (and when I say longer hair I’m talking like shoulder length hair)
He cut it weeks before this video was released.
@@anthonymarquez4617 yeah I saw after I commented this… darn :(
Wait what? I’m Joe Andrews too. Strong name man. Just starting my hair growing journey and needed some inspo. Thanks.
Really needed this, thank you!
That hmm.. hits good
Am growing it for 5 months first tym without trimming it.. and this gave me another Hope to Be Patient to make it more better... hufffffbooom
Your hair length looks great. I decided to grow out my hair and this video really helped me to commit to it
Please show your current short hair style
Disclaimer: i’m not a hairstylist or a barber.
But I also have poofy sides especially on short sides. But there’s actually a product for that specifically. It’s called DPERM. I haven’t tried it cause it’s kind of expensive for me, but I do hope you try or review it. :)
Keep going brothers, mine falls past my chin and I’m in my 9th month. Giving up is not an option
absolutely loving that new short hair. maybe a new vid about it?
next one!
Great to see you back Joe, and with long hair!!
Baaack onn traaaaackk beybeeeeey!!!!
@4:00 You've been hat rocking legend since a young buck
Ayyyyeeeeee
Not coming back slow 🤩🤩
I’ve always had the same hairstyle since middle school and now want to grow it out although I never used any hair products, i was wondering what hair products should I use for when I get there.
Right now in this video which gel or wax you used?
Guys I've got natural white streaks through my hair, it starts at my right side natural part and travels back, what would be an awesome hairstyle for something like that. I dont like going too crazy but id like to grow it out a bit.
Being born at an typical desi indian family...I still managed to grow my hair for 6 months till now..
Funny
@@davidgoggins351 not much bro... within a week I made this comment my parents forced me to cut my hair😢😢
@@muthura2228 that’s bad 🥺

So... i have a question. I have very thick hair and i want to grow them because they are way too poofy, but i don't know for how long i should grow them.
How to grow your hair. Just let it grow. Genius

Is it ok to loose a lil more than usual while growing it out
You have crazy thick hair looks good.

Love from India brother❤💐❤💐❤💐
been a year growing my hair i dont pay any attention to negative comments of long hair being girly etc people of their personal fancies and tastes but mine is long hair il keep it that way.
4:00 Yup I saw that Joe.
