I will never get tired of Burgundy. I really liked the topic of "Is fashion dead?" Your conversation made me think. When I was a teenager, I have to admit my style was much more organic. I was influenced by media but it wasn't in my face all the time. Style ideas came from movies, art , music, magazines, my imagination and cool girls at school. I remember mixing up thrift finds, my mom's clothes and my own stuff and constructing an outfit I liked and thought was cool and felt like me. I now realize that I don't really sit and think for myself anymore when it comes to fashion. I check my phone for everything. What's trending? What's the right bag to own? What's the weather? I used to just look outside and say, "It looks cold today!" All of this is to say, the age of easily accessible information has stifled my creativity and made me lazy. I guess I have let it happen obviously. So once again, thank you, you have encouraged my growth as an individual. I will use trends as a foundation and then I'm gonna go get in boxes and pick pieces that really mean something to me. Half the time, I already own something cooler than the stuff they sell now anyway. My mom was fabulous. She never looked at a computer when she got dressed. She was pure class and elegance. I'm going to start constructing outfits like I cook. I get a recipe off the internet and then I put my spin on it. Sometimes I ignore most of it and do my own thing and 9 times out of 10 it comes out great. (I know the bakers our there are cringing). It's going to be fun to find that part of myself in fashion again. I look forward to what ever direction you go on your channel. I'm here for it. I always end up in a better spot as a result of your hard work. Thank you.
I’ve always loved the color burgundy . I don’t why influencers keep using the words “ trending color” it’s always been a Fall/ Winter color . Same with brown. Love these two colors. Not sick of hearing or seeing it on social media. I guess what annoys me about it is influencers making it seem as if brown and burgundy are “ new” or “ trendy” when they’ve always been staple colors for Fall/ Winter season 😂 Love your bed ! Oh my goodness it’s absolutely beautiful. Wish I lived closer I would definitely purchase the gray headband 😂 the greens tones you showed are absolutely beautiful as well. I can’t wait to see the final results. Have a great upcoming week Kura❤
I actually feel that now times is giving us more individualism in style and fashion trends because we can shop anywhere. And we can and do find influence and influencers from all over. It’s fabulous
I realize that one of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much is that yes, they are about fashion, but they are also thought-provoking. Reflecting on some of the things you mentioned: Burgundy has always been a must-have for me in the fall, so I'd wear it-on trend or not. I feel we are all influenced by something/someone. For me, way back in the day, as a young 70's teen, it was magazines like Glamour or TV shows like SoulTrain. What would I like to see next on your channel? Maybe some home-related segments?
Thank goodness I sew and make almost all of my clothes and accessories. I am truly in my own style. And enjoying my difference. Fashion will never die for me. It is a true love affair.
Hi Shukura, during my undergrad time I studied advertising. One of the things we talked about was repetition. If we see something a lot it can influence what we buy and wear. We admire the outliers because it’s fresh and new. Unexpected. That ASOS suede bag is amazing! Have a great week!❤
Got my tea ready for the video 🍵! I'm never sick of burgundy. It always (in some version) comes around every Fall/Winter and I'm here for it. Thanks for the wonderful video - as always. 😄
Over the years I have found the trends are just something that is accessible to many people I tend to not wear them when they are not trendy I prefer having my stuff reflect me
Ooooh! The denim looks! The denim jacket over the trench! Genius! 😍….Love green and grey pairings. It can be a little “tricky” on the eye tho, if the textures or patterns clash. It can sort of “cancel out” the other color. This may not make sense. Just don’t know how to articulate it. LOVE your hair! Can’t imagine that your lovely “slick backs” and low buns keep you away from the public! Sooooo chic! 🥰 Every generation has an esthetic! Love seeing how everyone puts their styles together, even tho they may wear similar pieces! Regardless, let comfort, confidence and just feeling happy rule the day!…Those lipsticks are sooo decadent! 😊
Loved this video❤ This is why developing your personal style is so important. it’s about taking the time to understand what truly resonates with you. Balancing your sense of self with fresh perspectives helps you refine your style while staying true to who you are✨
I like looking different from everyone else which is why I prefer to thrift more than half of my wardrobe. I enjoy one of a kind shopping. It’s so creative and so much fun!
Great discussion Kura. I was in high school and college in the 80s and even then we all dressed alike. We didn't have Social Media but we did get our influences from celebrities and magazines.
Amazing video! I wanted to touch on the “looking the same” so much to be said lol 😂. I think it’s social media but it’s no different when old navy marketed the “tech vest” and we all had it 😂. I loved all the outfits you showed your videos just trigger my creative brain 😂 I love it ❤
I think that people tend to look the same because most people are afraid to stand out. They follow the trends, follow the influencers, etc. because that’s an easy and common thing to do. Standing out from the crowd is a more creative and daring process that the average person just does not want to take on.
Hey Girl!- love your video as per usual. 1. Yes, I’m a little tired of the burgundy - bought a turtleneck yesterday and returned it 😊 2. Yea- I also try to make my outfits more interesting when I’m getting dressed but I’m more on the reserved/chic side 3. The green and the grey actually works! And with the black throw pillows too! And white fitted sheet as an accent - my thoughts 4. In real life, we don’t all dress the same however on social media there’s definitely a very similar style of dressing - they’re all shopping the same place and choosing the same items. At the end of the day if they’re happy I’m happy - it’s not going to influence me to change my style, in some ways it does give me inspiration too. Enjoyed this video 😊
Hey Kura! Personally, I think a bedroom should be lighthearted in aesthetic. However if you truly want the grey you can use a throw to give you that element with out the commitment. I typically do that in my bedroom which is mostly beige and white. I use the throws to give it a huge shift in color dimension. I currently have a red throw on my bed and i’ll shift to black next
Hey hey!!👋🏾👋🏾 I really don’t want the grey😩 I rather have beige and white with warm accents. That feels more comforting and inviting to me. I think I just want something different .Maybe a fluffier comforter or perhaps try to reupholster the bed.🤷🏽♀️ I just don’t want the gray anymore, but I agree I do prefer a lighthearted feel in the bedroom. I like the idea of adding a throw at the end of the bed!
Another great video! Thank you! I never had much time to focus on fashion trends and had never heard of a capsule wardrobe until a few years ago when I found myself with some discretionary funds to focus on my wardrobe. Fast forward a few years and it dawned on me that I had gotten so engrossed in building my wardrobe in this way, that I had to ask myself when was the last time I bought something just because I liked it (rather than because I was trying to find some “foundation element” or some such thing? I have gotten back - with the help of your channel - to building a wardrobe that truly reflects my personal style. As for that Good American velvet suit. I was struck when I saw it in your video and had to have it! But I had already purchased a velvet blazer at the end of last year. Then I noticed the detail on the GA pants and they were too casual for where I see myself going in a suit like that. Found a pair of flat front, wide legged velvet pants by Calvin Klein on Macy’s website. They arrived and I am now all set for the holiday season.
I always enjoy your channel. I’m very much a person who enjoys my own take on fashion with influence from my culture, vintage clothing and current fashion. I’m also in my 50s so not having social media for most of my life has helped shape how I think about fashion too. I look forward to the new content.
I absolutely love your videos , each Sunday night you keep me company while I iron my husband and I clothing for the work week, thanks for the great styling ideas and your nyc outings. 🤩
Hi Kura! I thoroughly enjoyed this vid as usual. Like you, I also enjoyed the woman who workkkked the denim sleeveless jacket over the olive green trench coat!!!! Great eye for detail, and it was very appealing to my eye. The hues of burgundy or bordeaux are NEVER boring or mundane to me. For me those beautiful hues epitomize my adoration for the Autumn season. Yes, I have also assessed that there has been some copycatting going on which is slightly annoying to see ad infinitum. However, I dress according to my own cherished classic stylings with a "hint" of trendy nuggets from time to time. This way I am not dressing in a cookie cutter manner that does not reflect personal affinity. Lastly, I am also quite tired of hearing the word "cute". Everything is not "cute". At the end of the day, I hope people think outside of the box and search the thesaurus for other creative wordings for descriptions. Okay...I have jumped off my soap box. 😄 Again, great video Kura! Until next time...
Love the burgundy. It’s an elegant color if you don’t want to wear black. One more thing, I believe you would stunning in graphite gray and black pearls!
Love the fashion finds as usual. While I don’t think fashion is dead, much of it is recycled as with anything style-related, in terms of "what’s in" things are cyclical. I, like many other fashion lovers, enjoy Bordeaux, Burgundy, Oxblood, Cranberry! I’ve said it forever and will say it forevermore. I think that every style is someone else's style unless you get something custom-made. That said, I don't want to look like everyone else even if I buy something many people have. This is why I also check myself when getting caught up in the fanfare instead of buying what feels good to me. As long as it feels good to me, I'm good!
Again, another great video!! I look forward to your videos every week. This week’s video has me really thinking on how to really find my personal style and not look like everyone else on social media. Thank you!
I'm all in with Burgundy being the color of the season. Red is my favorite color so bring it on. I'm mad I missed the Coach Empire 40 but I'm on the wait list. OMG Stanley Tucci 😍
Hey Kura, I’ve always loved burgundy so I’m happy. Burgundy is that gworl. Thank you for another great video. I’m obsessed with all three of the denim outfits at 11:10
Great video❤❤❤ , I definitely remember being able to tell if someone was from the east coast or the west coast just by what they wore & how they styled it . I don’t think we all dress alike I think now that’s there’s social media and no wait time anymore …I mean having to wait for your favorite magazine to come out etc. Trends are showing up faster because of social media & I think they are also more accessible, you don’t have to go to the mall anymore… someone posts something you really like and you can order it online 😊
I love your content so much. You are so elegant and sophisticated. You are inspiring me to step outside my comfort zone of classic/preppy J Crew Ralph Lauren style. My OOTD is either Scrubs(I‘m a Nurse) or a blazer and jeans. I’m a Native NYer living in Ga now. I miss NY but I don’t miss the weather.
Definitely not tired of burgundy. Just ordered a bag and I'm ecstatic to get it. Now shopping for burgundy wool coat and kitten heel riding boots. Can't wait to incorporate my fav Grey pieces with them.🍁
I have a gray fabric headboard - same tone. I need to redo my whole room too, wouldn’t mind a new headboard but I just don’t have the bandwidth right now to start over. So a few months ago I got a lightweight bamboo camel color quilt from quince (and some pillow covers) and then a duvet cover from Ballard designs with gray, cream and camel (and also a couple pillow covers) - then I switch out which one is folded at the end of the bed depending on the season. I love it. I live in SC and the lightweight bamboo quilt from quince has been perfect.
Hi Kura. Just wanted to say how glowingly lovely you look. Your skin is perfection. I would love to get more makeup recommendations because I find places like Sephora overwhelming. Also, I do feel like some individuality has been lost with most influencers focused on trends and the same luxury goods. Great video. 😍😍❤️👍🏽
Good Morning Kura!!!!!!!! I love, love, love burgundy! my truck is burgundy lol! The color is so good against my skin tone! Denim is my go to! All those looks have me obsessed! I love your videos, but my FAVORITE part is your What you did in NYC! it's my personal fieldtrip 🤣🤣! I love your Organgy lip look! I wonder if I can pull that off with a lip gloss! I love Stanley Tucci! I want Bernhardt furniture in my forever home! I personally think, people look the same because they don't know their personal style. What I mean by that is, a person can see their favorite influencer with a look and go out and buy the exact look (that grinds my gears)! They do this because they can't figure their personal style, or its easier for them to dress. Style doesn't come easy for everyone, which is why people look for influencers to kinda help them in the style department. Trends evolve fashion, but not style! Which brings me to your fab finds! lol If it catches my eye...and I instantly envision a look...I'M BUYING LOL! I would def grab the Anthropolgie brown hobo bag, the brown suit...add an olive green or BURGUNDY (LOL) over the top blouse, and olive-green pointy toe heels!
Omg loving the dark chocolate brown , I saw a pair at Steve Madden chocolate suede boots go good with my vintage chocolate brown top handle Gucci bag.. I’m loving the burgundy too & it looks good with Grey
Hi I’m not an expert on upholstery but I assisted my husband who is the expert, but I think it will be rather easy for you to change the texture of your bed head by cover up the present pattern with 1/2 inch foam and then the fabric of your choice making it a flat surface or texture you want hope this helps ❤
I love that deep green of the bedding. I agree that I’m not sure about it with that gray. If you’re unsure, it signals that it will bother you. Maybe reupholster the gray headboard to a different color? Your walls seem light enough to not feel too heavy against a different color 💚💫
I think in the influencer world, yes sometimes items are redundant as it seems companies send influencers the exact same items in addition to sometimes there are just “it” pieces and a lot of people purchase them. In my real world, it is very diverse so not everyone looks the same (also I don’t live in a fashion forward community). I will say that with more women choosing different hairstyles, such as pixies and bobs. It allows you to see more of their beautiful faces and sort of sets them apart from everyone rocking bust down middle parts (absolutely nothing wrong with weave, just noting differences). It’s giving the 90s with hair and fashion and I absolutely love it. Great video.
Hey girl hey! Thanks for the tip! I picked up the Target pinstripe suit just to see if I want to invest in another. My bedding is dark grey and in the summer I mix in pink accents. In fall I switch with varying shades of grey. This year I decided to use dark forest green as an accent and I love it!
Love your vids! I'm looking for the same lipcase! LOL! I love your color scheme, try some bronze/gold to the mix with pillows or a soft blanket at the end of the bed. Keep trying different colors.
I'm 72 years young and I can tell you that fashion is a merry-go-round. What makes the difference is how you put it together, then there is that one piece you add or take away and viola, you look special. Because of telecommunications, the world is smaller and thank GOD for the youth they move it forward and not afraid to mix-match. What do you think Ms. Kura. Ms. Jo
If you didn’t say your hair needed to be done I wouldn’t have known. The head wrap is GIVING! I’m gonna try it. I absolutely adore the denim looks in the beginning. I have similar pieces right in my wardrobe so will be shopping and styling from my own closet 😂 Funny, I loooove color and pair grey with mostly everything but never thought about burgundy 😳. Something to think about this week…lol I don’t think fashion is dead and but you touched on the most impactful reason as to why it seems that way and why we may all look the same and that is social media, hence influencers. Back in the day (Gen X here), we had nothing but to depend on our own point of view and a bit of street style to make our mark on fashion. What was a trend back in the day?? I didn’t really start hearing that word in fashion until shutdown 2020 or maybe I wasn’t paying attention 🤷🏽♀️I do believe there is less uniqueness and a little more conforming perhaps to ‘fit’ in.
I think the right green and grey be great…I think the fabric and texture of each matters…I couldn’t pick up the exact shade of the bedding but against the texture of the headboard gives me pause… also I think you will appreciate having a lower headboard as it will give your room a more spacious feel….
I think the deep / pine green may work with your dark grey headboard if you sandwich a lighter color in between. What do you think of doing warm white / ivory / cream bedding with the green as a bed throw and pillows?
Personal style is a new concept, like you said, people used to dress for the time and those who subverted mainstream trends were either participating in the trends of a sub culture or generally regarded as eccentric. The reason we now crave personal style is because unlike the past when popular fashion trends lasted a full decade, the trend cycle just moves way too fast for anyone to reasonably keep up with. This is why people are craving a style they like and have longevity so they don’t feel the stress of keeping up with trends that seem to change annually. I saw a stat that said in the 1980s people purchased about 12 clothing items a year and now it is closer to 70. Among that 70 items, statistically not even close to half gets used. This is why people are trying to go their own way. It’s a desire to look good for a long time without the constant need to buy things.
I prefer burgundy because it is the only shade of red I like. I REALLY like the 3rd denim outfit. She did an amazing job. I love getting inspiration from other folks personal style to help me tweak and play around with mine. Stanley has done a lot. I saw something about him recently and didn’t realize all of his accomplishments outside of acting😊. Loved him in The Devil Wears Prada. I like green but maybe a slightly lighter shade would stand out better? It could also look darker due to the lighting.
@simplykura I dont think fashion is dead because fashion is, in my opinion, what the fashion industry gives us as consumers each season, and they tell us whats trendy, but style is what we choose to take from those brands and how we choose to style them. I think when it comes to style social media is bigger than its ever been so we as a whole are exposed to more images so were more aware of the trends. Most people like being on trend instead of finding their personal style because its more work. I actually have a video about this topic entitled how to dress uniquely you & I give tips on how I try to lean into my personal style. Great video per usual! 💕
I think the reason we all look the same is fast fashion and the internet. Trendy clothes are quickly and cheaply available to everyone. As you stated, in the past you could tell where someone was from because the clothing was sold in stores and the stores would choose what they thought the people of that area wanted. Now we can buy the same items that someone across the country or ocean can buy. The same exact clothing is available for all of us and all price points.
I love burgundy, so definitely not sick of it yet. And yes, there’s lots of burgundy all over social media, but not as much in real life, at least where I live. And because stores are carrying so much of it this year, I will happily add a few more pieces to my wardrobe while there’s lots to choose from. Next year there will be a “new” it colour, but I’ll still be wearing burgundy.😊 I love the green pillow cases you bought. I have just ordered a couch in that same colour! I don’t love it with the gray headboard, though I can’t tell you why. Could you perhaps slipcover the headboard? Like a fabric pillowcase? You could use an inexpensive fabric or even a blanket or old curtains just to tide you over until you can replace the headboard. It’s hard to live with a piece of furniture when we’re just done with it!
I love Stanley Tucci. Read his book and his cooking show through Italy is fantastic. As for everyone looking the same, I think there has always been some of that due to trends and it is still somewhat regional. I live in coastal L.A. where it tends to be more relaxed and coats and other heavy clothes don't work. I also think social media, as well as availability due to internet shopping has spread trends quickly to those who follow fashion. As usual, I loved your video. They are such a great chill Sunday morning ritual for me. BTW, I have the little black leather sculptural bag you showed, but instead if the gold handle and foot, I got the wooden version. It's not completely practical, since it is a little bucket and I prefer a dedicated spot for my phone and l Iipstickd, I love it. Speaking of lipstick, that Guerlain is now on my radar. I have too many lipsticks, but the packaging (the art deco version especially) is beautiful.
What would you think about the grey bed, green linens and a rich deep gold velvet lap blanket and cushions? It would give you a warmer feel to your room as well as adding some depth. Those lipsticks are stunning. I am going to order one just for the packaging.
Great video as always, they are so informative and respectful. The pinstripe skirt suit with the maxi skirt in outfit it, where is that from? Did’t find it in the links.. thank you. 😊
I like the headboard of the bed, just change the. Bedding to a burgundy,or redo the headboard with a fabric u like instead of buying a neww one, love ur video my first time viewing ur channel ,keep up the good work
Gray can be warm. Think a heather gray vs a charcoal gray. One is warm while the other is cool. I really love that shade of green in homes. I’m a cool tone dresser but I love warm tones/shades in home decor. As for us looking the same I agree we have too many references and too much exposure to them. while in past decades we had less references and a lot less exposure to them. Everything is an aesthetic and I can’t take it. Very few people look like an individual these days. It’s almost like seeing others on social has become a crutch and people can’t have a vision for themselves when it comes to style
I’m from Philly I wore Cortez in the late 70’s and early 80’s now I reside in south Florida oh boy is it different down here I find myself missing how I dressed in Philly only because it’s 80’s degrees most of the year so we can’t put on all those clothes
I’ve thought the same thing about looking the same. I have hesitated to buy things because it seems like everyone has it. But out in my real life I never look like anyone else. Maybe it’s where you live.
I just purchased the Chanel 31 LeRouge lipstick! Surprised by the price..but It was a treat for myself! Probably won’t do it gain though! LOL but get that lipped from Guerlain! I just might have to check it out myself! Hahaha
Are these issues happening if these bags are used daily? I just got the pochette metis in monogram canvas from the Kusama collection. I love the multicolored polka dots and hope they donât melt on me, lol. But I donât think itâll be in my regular rotation. I also have a NoeNoe in DA but only use that a few times a year in the spring and summer so I havenât put that much wear and tear into it. I hope I donât see the fraying for a while. Also, Iâm saving up for a kislux . Has your colleague seen the same issues with that size? I donât mind some relaxation in shape but I donât want it to be a puddle either. Thanks for the video!
Kura Emma hill has a video where she recovers her headboard in the way you are taking about doing it and makes it look so easy maybe check it out you already have the board so wadding the fabric you want and a staple gun i think the green and grey is very cool toned but you can add sone gold trims and accessories into it and sumptuous fabrics furs silks and texture and it will look very expensive and classic ❤
Hey Kura, loved today’s posting. But, don’t try on anymore sunglasses. Why? Because they ALL look good on you . I mean all your glasses look fabulous on you,and any that you try on will look fabulous on you! Put the glasses down because you know they will look fabulous , put them down. It will be impossible to resist. ❤
Heavens. No I am not sick of burgundy !!!down here in North Carolina.I cannot find it 😢. Southern style is not my style. If I see 1 more ' Fall Y'all ' shirt I'm going to vomit😂. Thanks for the links and wonderful vlog as usual! Tara
Hey honey bunches hi 👋🏽 it’s the trend of the decade yes to the question we are simply noticing it more past down styling is very much so it’s more about the changing wheel of the color cycle tend to make us feel the same so they make us crave into the new future fashion in my opinion yes honey bunches all are the same though out of it all but timing was the key promote the same thing change up the color waves and just circle back again all about the money and what was style well and sold out yes fantastic to those men’s social media, the new times that we’re living in have a rush on us to buy everything trending or not materialistic, is in all of us because of its beauty to the eye to style your own way Hey girl hey this was a good one, topic to talk about love it keep it coming. See you in the next one.😊 Linda 👩🏽💙🏡😍👍🏾👍🏾🤗😊 Thank you all in my opinion
I am someone who was alive in all of the decades you mentioned, 61 years old ❤. I do believe that of course social media has a lot to do with how many feel that everyone is looking the same because that’s what we are seeing. But, as someone who is from a city with about 250, 000 people, I don’t witness this. Yes, people will wear what’s trending. But, this is not an overly stylish area, ask Jenee Naylor. She just moved from this area back to the DC area. I would say that during the eras you mentioned, people wore the same style of clothing such as bell bottoms and minis in the 60s , Annie Hall look in the 70’s , and Dynasty shoulder pads in the 80s, it was different clothes that we saw. As a matter of fact, those of us who loved fashion would not shop a stores like New York and Co, formerly Lerners because we didn’t want to see ourselves. We opted to shop at more expensive department stores or smaller niche stores. We didn’t have fast fashion like there is now. We were very much gatekeepers. We protected and guarded our personal style!!! Though I believe it is possible to have your own personal style and buy what’s popular, it’s much more difficult.
SOCIAL MEDIA VS REAL LIFE is soooooO different when it comes to fashion! I never see anyone wear the clothes they wear online. I never see women wear luxury handbags, trendy colors, or trendy styles in general. It makes me feel like social media is such a made up world and when you are t on social media the NOISE goes away!
I used to just look outside and say, "It looks cold today!"
All of this is to say, the age of easily accessible information has stifled my creativity and made me lazy. I guess I have let it happen obviously. I can’t wait to see the final results.
Have a great upcoming week Kura❤
Just came back to comment about the two German men with roots from the Congo…Wooooowwww, they look AMAZING! The best style I’ve seen in a while! 😍♥️💫
I actually feel that now times is giving us more individualism in style and fashion trends because we can shop anywhere. And we can and do find influence and influencers from all over. It’s fabulous

I love burgundy and I never get tired of it. Maroon was my school color and is in the burgundy family. Burgundy mixes well with so many colors.❤❤
Over the years I have found the trends are just something that is accessible to many people I tend to not wear them when they are not trendy I prefer having my stuff reflect me

Yay my Sunday just got even better ❤
Hey Girl!- love your video as per usual.
1. Yes, I’m a little tired of the burgundy - bought a turtleneck yesterday and returned it 😊
2. Yea- I also try to make my outfits more interesting when I’m getting dressed but I’m more on the reserved/chic side
3. The green and the grey actually works! And with the black throw pillows too! And white fitted sheet as an accent - my thoughts
I was home in London for two weeks and every 3rd person had on a trench coat and some ‘Sambas’ …Now I want a pair!
I’m all about the burgundy. It pops a boring outfit always. However, now that I have found my pieces. I’m focusing more on brown. lol
Stanley Tucci yes! But John Krasinski interviewing him...heck yes!!
Omg YES!! I had no idea they were brother-in-law’s! He was hilarious of course! 😂
The bed should be a nice light taupe! And the green! ❤❤❤
I always enjoy your channel. I’m very much a person who enjoys my own take on fashion with influence from my culture, vintage clothing and current fashion. I’m also in my 50s so not having social media for most of my life has helped shape how I think about fashion too. I look forward to the new content.
Love that sweater on you! Beautiful shade of brown!
Thank you so much! You’re to kind!☺️☺️
I love the gray bed I would do deep browns and tans and creams that way I could keep the black pillows and the tan vase arrangement
I love the opening instrumental…. Great content as always
Dandies of the Congo are known as Sapeurs. There will be an exhibit at The Met in the Spring on dandies and menswear tailoring.
Yes!! I’m so excited about it!!
Hey Sis! The bed is beautiful! Try a lighter green like kiwi..maybe add some gold accents. Green and gray looks beautiful together
Luv the green comforter! Taupe would be sharp with that green!
Veronica Beard and Marina Rinaldi also do extended sizing.
Fortunately for me, I already had most of these fashions and colors in my wardrobe.
There used to be a huge Sapor sapeur community/subculture in London in the 80’s, fabulous style
The bag from asos is stunning ❤
Would love to see some of your Black Friday picks. ❤
I think the right green and grey be great…I think the fabric and texture of each matters…I couldn’t pick up the exact shade of the bedding but against the texture of the headboard gives me pause… also I think you will appreciate having a lower headboard as it will give your room a more spacious feel….
such beautiful pieces!!! trends are always around but making it your own is where fashion is at… style tells who you are…culture/ where you live etc….
I’m looking for some burgundy shoes or sneakers or boots I have burgundy pants and tops I just can’t find the right ones that I really love
I enjoy your videos. I feel so relaxed! Love It!
The gloves in the pinstripe skirt suit - soo good!!!❤
I NEEEEEED THE LINK FOR THE SMALL BLACK BAG WITH THE GOLD HANDLE
I prefer burgundy because it is the only shade of red I like. I REALLY like the 3rd denim outfit. She did an amazing job. I love getting inspiration from other folks personal style to help me tweak and play around with mine. Stanley has done a lot. I saw something about him recently and didn’t realize all of his accomplishments outside of acting😊. Loved him in The Devil Wears Prada. I like green but maybe a slightly lighter shade would stand out better? It could also look darker due to the lighting.
Gray 🩶 and a warmer green 💚 with a golden 🪙 or mustard yellow 💛 would warm things up imo 🔥
Shades are my go to.
🙏🏾💐💜😀🎉💥
Great video as always.
The video content was fabulous.
Lovely!
What's the best place to head for a day of shopping in NYC in early December? I'm so excited to come see all the fashion!
I am not sick of burgundy! I love burgundy and trying to find it here in Columbus Ohio and I don’t see it worn around here either smh
Hi, thanks for the video - unless I missed it, I dont see the designer or where to purchase the large snake skin bag please thanks
Sis I feel your pain I have to wait 2/1/2 months to get my dreads retwisted and styled
Sambas are great because they are more sleek than other sneakers, but just as comfortable. They aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
Have you seen the Puma speed-cat sneakers? Apparently they may be the new samba.🤦🏾♀️ I can’t keep up.🤷🏽♀️ Thats why I say wear what you love!☺️
Yayyyy🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Heavens.
No I am not sick of burgundy !!!down here in North Carolina.I cannot find it 😢. Southern style is not my style. If I see 1 more ' Fall Y'all ' shirt I'm going to vomit😂.
Thanks for the links and wonderful vlog as usual!
Tara
Try a darkergrey
Its more about the trends
The Congolese they dress like black Americans olden days and the Igbos in Nigeria.. They just maintain it.. I love your channel..🇬🇧
I see more animal print than burgundy but no I’m not sick of burgundy
SOCIAL MEDIA VS REAL LIFE is soooooO different when it comes to fashion! I never see anyone wear the clothes they wear online. I never see women wear luxury handbags, trendy colors, or trendy styles in general. It makes me feel like social media is such a made up world and when you are t on social media the NOISE goes away!
