I was loving this game, but i thought it was too easy at first. Then i got to these levels and man, im so happy. Its literally the secret challange levels from Mario Sunshine!
after finishing the last one i was like wait a minute i did all this and restarted GOD knows HOW MANY TIMES all for CHOP CHOP MASTER ONION? then promptly started kicking away his nice paper lanterns in a fit of frustration
Atleast the symbols still have color in this game.... I still hate that the dualsense got rid of the colored buttons that the previous 4 iterations had
I restarted the most on the first set of challenge stages, but after getting a feel for the game and its tricks, I was able to do the rest with the least amount of resets. The lighting only challenge was the only stage I beat the first try.
@@AslanAfzal when you beat the game and finish the other courses there’s a master course requiring 300 bots and it’s about 3-3 half minutes long of non stop mayhem and it’s required to get the that bot and the platinum which is brutal compared the courses
@@AslanAfzal it’s actually bullshit due 1 you die in 1 hit 2 the hover is a pain 3 every minute gets worse and there’s a fake out at the end all for a single bot literally just make a boss rush with 3 lifes so for ranting I just hate games that have overly hate segments
I played neon white not too long before these challenges so it was a good warm up. It took me 2 days, possibly about 100 attempts, to beat the Splashing Sprint 😂
Splashing Sprint was the only level in the whole game that really didn’t feel good to play. It wasn’t difficult in the same way that all these other challenge level were. It just kind of felt like a mix of whatever random ideas they could think of with no real connection between them all.
Same except its exactly what it is. Cross(Batsu) ✖ is a shape with symbolic representation of declining while Circle(Maru) ◎ is a shape symbolic of Accepting. Sadly western development turned it upside down and made it X marks the spot and Red circle mean cancel. A bit nonsensical.
I can see why people get mad at these levels due to the frustration factor. LOOKING AT YOU, SPLASHING SPRINT. But I've also been seeing people who outright dislike them because they think they suck, and I really don't get that. These levels provide much-needed challenge just when you think this game is gonna be easy. While I do agree the Great Master Challenge could've been better, all these other shape levels are some of the best things about this game.
I think the key with the shape challenges is learning the trick of each stage and getting into a good rhythm as you figure out the patterns on each stage.
Those challenges ruins the game, the entirety of the game is fun and smiles, this challenges are pure hate and frustrarion, all it needs are some checkpoints to be fun again. Do like playroom, set other trophyes that obly unlock if you do the whole level in one try.

The most infuriating part of the whole game
If the levels was 30% shorter I wouldn’t mind
The master challenge made me rage
I strongly agree
It needs a challenge to test your skills, and they’re optional

Splashing Sprint had me literally raging out like I was playing a Souls game.
Yeah some levels get annoying!
Funny enough because splashing sprint was the first level I ever played not just the square void but the first ever

Idk ‘bout you chief, I don’t think that’s possible since it’s in Lost Square
I hate the frog in the beginning.
That damned frog..
The circle ones were pretty easy but oooooh splashing spring and to the beat....
These were absolutely the worse two
Don't forget Dashing Dillo.
Splashing sprint and to the beat are OUTRAGEOUS. AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE MASTER CHALLENGES

I hope when the time trials are released they're set up in a similar fashion. These were some of the most fun/frustrating levels in the game
Makes sense you unlock Mr. Sol Badguy with the amount of times I was yelling "THAT IS BULLSHIT"... blazing
The most hardest levels in the game my poor astrobot controller almost got launched into space a few times
lol
Maybe I’ll use my regular DualSense for this then 😂

I love how much Banjo-Kazooie vibes resonate of the lost void shapes.
I think those lost void challenges would be on Mario Galaxy as a custom level which might be interesting

At least the level track is a banger.
