Cap 2 things to add: when a door gunner is selected, say left, the left inner pylon is disabled and can't carry any weapons as that will block the gunner (right gunner disables right inner most pylon) weapons can still be used on the inner pylon on the side that has no gunner and lastly there are 2 menus for keybinds for Gunner, the one you showed and one for TrackIR so can use TrackIR or mouse to move the gun
The Hind, my favourite helicopter in DCS, I still wish we had the D model with the 12.7mm turreted gun, but, the P suffices. Still one thing I hope they get in DCS for the Hind is proper animation when you run out of a belt of ammo, so you can see the last few rounds go into the KORD. It totally changed machine gun warfare with the Firearms mod in the old Half Life days, and proper machine guns in Arma 3 as well, need that feature as a gunner too.
Does DCS have any Afghanistan maps to use with the Hind and if so, does GR have any plans for missions or possibly a campaign? P.S. We also need a good mission with lots of BOOM-BOOM for Supa Cap to help him with his bad day!😁
@@grimreapers Thats rough, did you go see the doctor just yet if its anything like the ones I always got as a kid they should be relatively easy to treat once they are diagnosed
I do wonder if they will ever modify it to be able to carry additional rockets for the rocket pods like they used to do in Afghanistan. Russian Hind crews used to carry extra rockets, land somewhere in the field and reload them to go for another attack run instead of RTB immediately when out of the first load of weapons.
So... One could say - it's time for this beast of a helicopter shine in air-to-air fight one more time. Now, we choose time and place. And so - we will wait.

I was scrolling thru the editor and noticed that there's now a F-18C Lot 20 option for the Hornet. Has that always been there or is it new? And what is a Lot 20 model? May make an interesting GR video if it's substantial.
@@Mojje42 Thank you! I have only had DCS for a couple months now. I have been trying to watch all Cap's videos as well. Been trying to do the tutorials first. The Hornet is my next download. Right now I just have the Apache, Huey, and the Viper. And the free ones.
@@valuedhumanoid6574 Cool i can definitely (if you haven't already) recommend joining the discord server. there you can ask questions about any problems you have and you also get help from the training server... usually people on there happy to help or fly with/against you.

There's nothing more satisfying than popping up over a hill and putting an r60 in the face of viggen going 1.34 on ECW. Best deathcopter in DCS.

the F-18 Lot 20 is the flyable version in DCS (there are 2 AI versions as well)
been there for along time and Cap has loads of videos on it already
