Ahhh thanks everyone! Ollie is my son and to say he idolises Harry (& Lou!) would be an understatement, but he will be even more spurred on by these comments. I agree totally with David Carrington below, Harry has an amazing manner with kids and has helped my son hugely, not just with running. Harry - we need to work out a way you can reach more kids to help motivate them into exercise... Well done!
Yes Alex, definitely not a fast one - I believe Ollie has run faster on a flat parkrun, so it was just a course PB we were going for, either way he'll be back to take it down soon I'm sure. Thank you for watching Harry
Harry made Ollie's day...perhaps his year! Superb effort Ollie well done. Well done to Harry too for helping Ollie achieve his dream. Fantastic and inspirational video.
Big grins and feel good factor all round. This is what it's all about. No parkrun tomorrow, pesky storm whatever it's daft name is. Is this one of the best running channels on RUclips, quite possibly.
Another great video! Love it that Jog Ollie got a new PB by so much. The camera went, Dad was filming, the camera came back on - such drama at the end. Amazing!
Great video Harry. You have a such a nice manner with the lad and subtle sense of whit on the video. A lot of parents would pay good money for you to produce something similar for their children. Really well done!
Thanks a lot David, what a unique business venture that would be, after 2.5 year of running videos, it's amazing the possibilities you discover along the way. The JOG ON Journey so to speak Thanks for commenting and supporting it's greatly appreciated Harry
@@thisisjogon Alas no, a trapped femoral nerve which basically means my right quad wont fire has put paid to my running for November. Its on the mend as are the muscles I pulled as a consequence. Still going out today for a targetted 2 miles and if it keeps up the Mapledurham 10k on Sunday, run walk as required. Hope life is all good with you and your dad.
Watched this while doing a treadmill run. This is why I enjoy this channel so much. Seeing Harry take time to pace people reaching for their goals is motivation. Found myself yelling Go Ollie! while doing my own run. Congrats Ollie on breaking 30 minutes!
Massive congratulations Jog Ollie! It’s a great achievement to get sub 30 around AH parkrun. Tough course with some killer climbs. I reckon you could beat your new PB by getting nearer the start line. 😜 I agree that Harry is great with kids. Lovely to see his support. Well done both of you! 😀
@@thisisjogon very well thanks. Ran every day in November clocking 206k..Doing the Cranbrook park run Saturday which is another new one for us. Cheers again 🎸
Just watched this and you pacing your dad's 5k and it so nice and normalising to see that other people, even elite runners find it hard! I just thought it was me who struggled at the 3km mark. Inspiring to see both your dad and Ollie push through to achieve thier goals.
Brilliant run Ollie, was on edge of my seat watching it to see if you got your PB, great push at the end! You need to do Edgbaston parkrun that I did with my daughter Iona this week (film on my channel) it's a super flat course, perfect for PBs!
Heck I can't even run a 30-minute 3K, well done Ollie! I've watched a few of your pacer vids. Harry, I humbly ask for a real-time pacing video for us to follow virtually, maybe a 35-minute or 30-minute 5K? I know I won't keep up yet but with your encouragement it's something to work towards. Cheers and yeah the ParkRuns in my neck of the woods are still suspended Sadge.
Brilliant video, love the variety on this channel. Are you doing any XC this year? I imagine it would make some good content with it being a team event based on places rather than time.
Thanks Alex, that's a great question and relevant as I was having this thought just recently. I think yes, I will try and get a XC video in, no doubt the lens will be somewhat mud splattered but why not.
I have just stumbled across these videos and have sat and watched them all! Such motivating content! I was almost at my goal of going under 30min for my parkrun and with the pandemic I just stopped running ... parkrun has been back for a while now and I am too nervous to go back...I attempted my first 5km today and my mental strength has gone.. most of the time I feel physically fine but my brain just says "why not walk" and I do.... any tips for not stopping when you're running?
Hi Hannah, thank you. It takes time to learn how to endure the discomfort, a big part of training is the mind learning how to push through. Think about why you want it, and you'll do it if you want it enough. Thanks for watching and supporting

Brilliant effort Ollie on a difficult Parkrun course. Harry’s ability to relate to kids doesn’t, of course, come from me 😁
what a badass push at the end
How old is Ollie if I may ask?
Trying to beat PB's anytime is hard work but with personal knowledge Alice Holt wouldn't be my choice of course ha ha!

Kids are hilarious! Pacing goes right out of the window 🤣🤣 Good job Olly 🎉🎉
It's definitely a different approach, it makes you realise the focus that is required to run consistently for 5km
