I was preparing myself to hear "Aspen has too many whites... and Harlem has too many blacks". Woulda been a bit too edgy for even George

One look in Dana's eyes and it's so clear how much this moment means to him. George is such a class act, and he's so proud to have influenced such a great up and coming comic. Not the kind of emotions I expect to have when watching George. Great post.

Great interview Dana. Dana's Larry King Game on Kevin Pollock's Chat Show is hilliarous. It's no wonder Dana was a principal writer on the Simpson's for 7 years.

I bought comedy records because of multi-talented comedians like George Carlin. Along with Richard Pryor, Nationonal Lampoon, Woody Allen, so many others.. George was a clever comedian.

Is the interview at a real restaurant? Is it a set/stage? Are those invited guests or random diners or paid extras in the background?

I think I just had a drink with George Carlin. He knew how to make you feel like it's all about you indeed. Even though he had no idea that the idiot of me, will watch this material years later, he somehow still made me feel like we were 2 friends in a random bar having a drink. You just don't see that anymore nowadays. I miss George Carlin.

If you read his autobiography, yo know he sighed at the mention of Sam Simon. Looks like there was an edit there too.

That was a great bit at the end. "Medic," "Am I hooked to anything," attempting to leave, and Dana's escalation and exaggeration was awesome. Comedy Gold!

How did George end up still being able to function while on crack and do those jokes on SNL, etc? THEN, he gets off the drugs, but you would think the damage he did to himself would have fried his brain, but he was BETTER as an older guy.

George Carlin never smoked "crack"...He was a recreational user of cannabis, cocaine, and alcohol. He said he hasn't used drugs since the 80's.

About the guy George Carlin wanted to hear more of, I think they're talking about Steven Wright. He is from Boston and has a great bit about electricity. How he's never seen it, so when the bill comes he just writes "haven't seen any, not paying this". or something to like that
