BET had a good mix of programming in the 90's under Bob Johnson. They had entertainment and political/issues shows. BET or Viacom needs to get back to a similar mix. Now BET shows too many movies and sitcom reruns.
When ppl sell out what they made the new owners will always change the mission and Bob knew that just like with motown etc....generational wealth leaves the black community because there is few ownership
Maaaaan! Feels like yesterday! I was 18! Good gracious! I watched it from the start which was when I started high school. All these folks are pretty much my angels now… how time flies.!! The Lord is still sooo good! I always wanted to be on here!
I remember this. Didn't know it ran until 2002, long time. Caught a few eps from 1991-1992. Wasn't the greatest time to be alive for me back then but watching this helped from time to time. Just glad I survived.

When BET sold to viacom one of the first shows they messed with was teen summit! They changed it to a 2 host show with no studio audience. That took all the energy away from the core of the show. Like the saying goes "If it ain't broke don't fix it!"
The black girl that was sitting next to the house acting like she was crying was so annoying like you’re not funny stop it it’s OK to play and act like you are for a little bit but not the whole time
