Question. I want a dap for about 400 dollars. Good eq. And good volume power and battery. I got the hiby and fiio and their eq was so bad. That even if I change the 60dz it changed the tone on the 1 k and 3 k. And when I add bass the volume drops 6db. I want something with power. Does anyone has issue with its charging? In some cases Analog charges but Digital battery stays empty or charges very long... I wonder how to fix that...
Depends a lot on what you're looking for. I generally would go DX300. Larger display, more colorful display, better battery life, and sound can be even more natural and dynamic. I made a full written review where I compare the two, and this was what I considered when doing a siude by side: iBasso DX300 vs FiiO M15 (1200 USD vs 1500 USD) - M15 is more pricey than DX300, but the user experience is not better on M15. I know that M15 has some advantages, but M15 gets hotter easily where DX300 is much easier to use as a DAP. The user experience is smoother on DX300, it is quicker and although it doesn’t have google services from the factory, you can work around it. The sound is thicker, more lush on M15, but it is more mature and refined on DX300, which sounds more open and detailed. They are equal in terms of overall dynamics, and in practice the driving power is similar, as the headphone that DX300 won’t be able to drive, M15 won’t either (HIFIMAN He6SE). M15 will be for those who don’t mind it getting hot and those who want to get a more lush presentation. Despite most of their DAPs being somewhat bright and sparkly in the treble, M15 is a more lush and dynamic experience. DX300 is more mature, refined, and will be for those who appreciate detail, a natural sound, and excellent dynamics.
Thanks for review. Have you plans to review fiio fd5? I think it is a good iem for their price. Dx300 is really good dap but price not for everyone, only for hardcore audiophiles with a lot of cash. Better to invest to good headphones first and only then think about dap. This way you have best sound. Or better listen to good music and enjoy it with the electronics you have at the moment :)
Great video once again. As an anxious DX160 customer who doesn't want to part with his money- how much better is this one compared to the DX160. I use the hifiman sundara.. 😁
Well, if you only have Sundara, I could suggest getting some better headphones too, because the differences are larger between sources when you have more revealing headphones / IEMs :)
Hiii, it should work just fine as long as you can install the APK of the app controlling it. I think Twister6 made a few posts about DX220 MAX, which shoiuld apply to DX300 too, using it with a remote controller. DX220 MAX is the thicc one, but DX300 is far more complex and better in the software, so everything should work as well.

Honestly, if you don't seek the last few percents of quality, then DX160 would do just fine. DX300 is much better all arodun, including sound, but it depends heavily on what IEMs / Headphones you have too. I would go for some nice flagship IEMs / Headphones then go for a high-end DAP afterwards, as this way your experience will improve the most and in the most organic way.
