    Really helpful thank you. Couple of Photoshop shortcuts I used...
    a) Save the grid layer to use on future images (so you never have to do it again),
    b) Do the long side first, create a copy of the lines layer then rotate 90 degrees for the short side.
    ...also depends how much you know about PS but I created an Action to copy the line and move 1 inch down to save a bit more time. I'm very lazy 😄

    Hi Tim! Thank you so much for this video. I can safely say I've been following your channel for ten years at least and your videos have really helped me with my art and have always been a source of inspiration for me. Thank you for continuing what you do 😊

    Tim, this is awesome. Seen many ways to create a grid with photoshop and this is clearly the easiest and prints the best. Thank you

    Thank you so much, this helped a lot. It's unfortunate that PS doesn't have an automated option to create these grids. You can create guides, but they are not printable.

    Very helpful Tim. There is a good app called ArtGrid that you can use on your phone. You can add a grid to a photo any ratio you like and then print it out. You most probably know about it. Looking forward to your future videos. Always so helpful. Thank you and Happy New Year

    HI Tim. You just saved me so much time and effort and armed me with a very valuable tool...photoshop! Thank you. My question is which actual program should I search for in my MacBook App Store for photoshop? You're such a joy to watch paint. Hope you're feeling better from your surgery too. :)

    I find that if I use a T-square ruler, I have a better chance of not getting the marks a little crooked.

      A T-square is a great tool to use for this! I agree.

    Hey can we just use the line tool instead of the brush?

    • @gagnonstudio
      @gagnonstudio  Год назад

      I'm sure you could, I've always done it this way.

    So there really wouldn't be a reason to print, just view on screen to sketch photo on canvas as the next step?

    • @gagnonstudio
      @gagnonstudio  Год назад

      Exactly! you can just use a digital device to view the grid photo reference
