First G90 video that I have started appreciating the design. Although coilovers needed for a modest .5” drop. Would of liked to see the signature M5 side air intake vents
NGL I am sad the weight on this one increased but it makes sense. Regulations are getting crazy and if you want a smaller "lighter" (relatively) sedan get an m3. M5 is the big boy sedan and you would never buy it for an unadulterated driving experience, there are much better cars for much cheaper for that. Being a performance luxury boat I think it succeeded
BMW had no way of winning everyone over. It was either pull a mercedes and take away the v8 and have everyone cry about no v8 or keep the heavy v8 and EV motor and have everyone complain about weight. I think I like their choice. As long as it drives good.
Well done BMW keeping that beautiful v8 engine under the hood, well respected company listening to their customers, unlike mercedes who want to force customer with that vacuum engine they put on c63 shame on mercedes...
I always have thought the M5 was the unquestionably most beautiful 4 door super sedan.... until this one. Unlike, say, Porsche, BMW has always struggled with their rear end of the M5, with some misses and hits over the decades. But this one completely fell off the edge. Their front design still is largely classic BMW (all the teenage "aggressive" plastic molding notwithstanding); but, again, the rear end of this one, if you look at it from a certain side angle, is more like an ungainly $12,000 Nissan Sentra from the 1990s. To see what I am saying, JUXTAPOSE their M7/760 Series with the M5.
@kiabtoomlauj6249 I don't mind most of the rear end. I like the top half and I don't mind the tail lights. They coyote be better but they look alright. I just don't like the bottom lights on the rear side panels. Idk what to call it, but if the bumper part that goes in want so big, it might not would look bad. I also don't like how much the black part sticks out. Other than that, the side looks fine and the front looks OK. They could done a little better with the grille. The inside looks good though.
This car looks gorgeous with minimal lines, i love it. Waiting for the competition and CS version! I hope the power to weight ratio can be improved in that version
I want all BMW enthusiasts who detest the latest designs and consider them a destruction of the character of iconic cars like the M5 or the 7 Series to know that the author of those atrocities is Demagoj Dukec, a designer of such low caliber that no one will ever understand why he is in that position. The current M3, which perfectly embodies the BMW style and character, was designed by Anne Forschner, a great designer who is competent and passionate about cars and who deserves to be in Demagoj Dukec’s place.

I think the looks will grown as with the g80 m3, front end is nice and aggressive more than usual as are the rear side flared arched. The back however, with the box like bits sitting above the exhausts are out of place. The weight is a bit much but how many m5 owners actually track their cars? The interior has come a long way and a very nice improvement. The wheels should be more concave and aggressive to match the front like the ones that were on m6 gran coupe. At least it's not a 6 or 4 cylinder 🎉

I'm glad people started to notice that the G90 is actually a beautiful, angry shaped car. Yeah it's a heavy as hell but it doesn't deserve that much of a hate. Many say that it looks ugly in comparison with the last G30 (F90) generation but need to keep in mind that this thing will be on a line around 5+ years(till the 2029/2030) just like F90 did. Petrolheads are aware of the modern design trends and I'm pretty sure that in the upcoming years the competitors will give an update to their RS/AMG cars too and this M5 won't be considered ugly and oddly shaped. It will be just in one single mood with others: thin headlights, enormously big wheel size, lots of sharp angles and with muted exhaust sound sadly. (BMW can't do nothing with regulations just like any other car manufacturer) Some things get recognition only after time.

Nope. It was discontinued like many other useful options that were still available in the F90. A short list of optios that are no more available in the G90: - massage function front seats - servo closing of doors - rear seat entertainment - night vision - many other small but useful gadgets that i am used to in my F90 like power seat key functions showing up in the monitor when you touch the switch. - swipe function (using your leg to open the boot hatch) And many more. That and the 500kg of extra weight are annoying as hell
