My point is the concert promoters saw enough in Prince to promote him as a headliner. As for charts, the only chart I ever paid attention to was the one in Jet Magazine.

It blows my mind that anyone who lived during 80's and 90's could not know this song. Prince was on fire, and beyond just being an incredible musician in his own right, wrote incredible songs for a number of artist. For all the credit Michael gets ask the prince of pop, Prince just had more talent in him than ANYONE in the buisiness.
