Edit: WE ALSO NEED KIKUJIN!!! I know he does appear in the anime but only in the background. He doesn’t have any lines or whatever. For those who don’t know: He’s the son of Shinono and Kuchiba and kind of the opposite of Chakuro.

So it hasn't been 'canceled' per say; but no confirmation on a second season to ever be in the works as of yet. It's just sitting in limbo at this moment.
It's a damn shame; this is when Netflix actually starting getting good with their original anime content.
This being released around the same time as Knights of Sidonia; they were huge hits and awesome content. However; I don't understand why Netflix has abandoned some of their best early productions in this field.
Was it the viewership that wasn't high enough to greenlight more seasons?
Because there's far more terrible original anime's that have seen future seasons that were not worth the watch at all and I sincerely doubt the viewership was there for them.... so I really don't get it.
I'd definitely like to see where this story goes; it's a very intriguing concept and the visuals were pretty incredible for this show.
I guess all we can do as fans is play this on repeat while we go to work or school for the day to increase the views to get an additional season.
