I just bought 2 and I RUclips for further study. seems like I purchased well.
I do like this. We've been live streaming our church worship service on facebook live, using either a phone or tablet. I think something like this will allow us to have a better online presence.
Would like more information of setting up the different live source destinations and which works the best

Really good video and instruction. Not the camera I want but the quality of video, discussion caused me to subscribe to see what else LON.TV has. Do not care to join.
The specs page is worded pretty weird on the actual resolution. It never states what resolution the camera is, rather that it ENCODES at 1080. The original mevo also didn't look that great when you cropped in (especially in anything but good light). So I think the camera is technically capable of more than 1080 as far as the hardware is concerned, but they probably wanted to word/market it in a way to avoid people thinking it was a 4k camera that ended up not actually streaming at 4k anyway (like the last one).

Looking all over to find the steps to make the MEVO stream over my android phone's hotspot but haven't found it yet. I'm not always within range of a wi-fi router and need this capability.

Thanks for the info! I need to start streaming my daughters basketball and softball games. RUclips doesn't let me stream from my phone unless I have 1,000 subscribers. Plus I want to use my phone separately during the games. So I'm looking for the easiest all-in-one setup. Everything doesn't have to be perfect, but it needs to be watchable or it doesn't do any good. I'm mainly looking at the GoPros and the Mevo's. What would you recommend if you had to choose only one? And I'll use a tripod for basketball games and your LynkSpyder for the softball games.

I have the new Start and am trying to figure out how to create static shots in different sizes and then have the Mevo perform the slow zoom/movement in auto pilot mode. Do you know if that's possible? Or is Auto Pilot cuts only?
Do you think this could plug into a laptop to work with a Zoom meeting for teaching and training online?
Did they fixed NDI framerate nowadays? Is this camera OK for using with let's Zoom or similar services for video conference?
If not, what would be an alternative?

Great question. Wondering the same thing.
@@eustisassembly If you don't mind an answer from the outside...it works great if you use the Mevo Mic app and a mix between the ambient sounds and the direct signal from your church sound board. There are slider controls to help set the balance and you can listen live through the app to get it just right. Super impressive feature.

How does it compare to the Huddlecam 4k NDI? For $499 with PoE built in, it seems like the better deal.

Hey Lon - Is it possible to use a smartphone with the controlling app on it from a remote location? e.g. Can a phone at one location with good wifi get to the wifi system handling the Mevo device(s) and control themfrom a different, offsite location?

Hi. I have a question, can this camara be used as a webcam? I am carrying out online workshops via Zoom and Teams, which are not live-streamed but only held through a direct online video call. Do you know if the zooming feature works while the camera is being used as webcam?

RUclips only allows live streaming from a computer unless you have at least 1000 subscribers and then you can livestream directly from your mobile device.
With this camera will RUclips allow to livestream without having reached the 1000 subscribers?

yes. We have done a test to RUclips with less than 1000 subscribers.
Do you have to be on the same network? I have a mevo start but I want to have my cpu running obs at one area and the mevo at another one on another network since they are not near each other.
off topic. I used to have very dry hands like yours. Are you drinking enough water each day, throughout the day?

Mevo Works Best with a I Pad with Cell Service.
Currently using Livestream Studio....and have "guests" contributing via the Guest URL method, whereby they can follow along in the livestream when they are not on-air. Is there a similar facility when using this camera as a Guest option? Anyone explain or confirm? Basically I want to give this camera to a contributor, but I want to know if they can see whats going on when they are not live
If it’s at the back of say a 300 person temple or church will the picture be blurry if it’s zoomed a bit. The old Mevo a friend used gave somewhat blurry not great video on streaming.
Yeah it'll be a bit blurry all the way in the back -you'll want it closer to the speakers.

Just at ballgame to stream .. guy next to me had same camera . When he went to access his camera, his phone said already streaming..it was attaching to my camera and he couldn't get to his.. would password on camera help

It is possible to adapt the usb-c out to HDMI and plug it into the back of the atem

Has there been any new devices since this video was done? Looking for a webcam that can send pictures every 5 minutes to a website. Not necesary that we need live video as we probably wouldn't spend the $ on this.
I see the price as $399. Was that a mistake or did they change the price?
No Twitch support is a little disappointing given the number of IRL streamers on that platform, I suppose the NDI + OBS could be used eventually for Twtich but this could have been a good alternative to the expensive/heavy IRL Gunrun backpacks even if it were not as good as those but still better than using a phone for IRL streams.

No it does not stream to zoom at the moment unless they support rtmp
do you know if the Tally light is compatible with NDI tally command ?
I am pretty sure the NDI command is triggering the tally light when in that mode but I don't know for sure.

They just raised the price to $400 for a 1080p very special use camera. I've got one, the quality is so so and the stability of the software is not good. I would wait until they figure out the software and lower the price back to the $300 (or less) level that it should be at.

They raised their price after we published the video.
$299.....why not just make it $300........Psychology went out the door long ago.
This thing is garbage. 2 video engineers with a combined 50 years experience in broadcasting couldn't get it to work reliably. It's probably great if you're an amateur without mission critical needs that's completely sucked into the apple ecosystem, but it's implementation is truly horrible in any professional environment.
