Can confirm polygem is top of the line epoxy. Made my snakes perch system with it 7+ years ago after being frustrated nothing on the market for purchase due to green tree python community settling for plain white pvc pipes but thats another story! This is an awesome way to make an enclosure background thanks for the video.
This video is quite the gift. Thank you. I am curious to know if this material will withstand outdoor exposure for an extended period of time (6-12months)?
This is such incredible work!! You did an amazing job, and I have never seen faux bark look anywhere near this realistic. I am looking into methods of making faux bark/wood for a Groot cosplay, so if you don’t mind me asking, how heavy is this when it is finished? Would it be at all wearable? Thanks so much, and again, amazing work!!💕💕💕
Great video Kara. What is your estimate of square foot coverage for the clay? It looks like you have the 10 gallon $575 option. I don't want to buy that much if I would need considerably less to do a haunted tree.
How big is the tree you want to do? Coverage depends on how thick you put it on. I haven’t covered a whole 8 ft tree yet so I don’t know exactly but I bought a 10 gallon set to do 1 tree. I hope there is left over
I’ve got an tree similar in size. Those large sizes only ship freight to me for $215 🙁. Oh well. They want it they will pay for it. Too bad I can’t find a local distributor
Outrageously genius solutions for Faux tree bark! You are unbelievable ! THANK YOU!

I love this! I can’t wait to try it one day. Maybe this is what I should have done with my mask for my tree.
Ojai Haunt It definitely would have worked. Too bad I didn’t make this video sooner. But now you know for future projects
This looks great. Very realistic.

wow, thanks for showing
very creative
What color number was the wash of grey. Also how heavy is it with clay?
do you think this technique would work on a life size tree for a room? (for decor purposes) or do you think it would crumble off?
Yes this material is extremely strong and sticks very well. It would not crumble off
@@karawalkerdesigns167 yay! thank you! :) planning on recreating the sleeping beauty tree roots from the animated film!
I don't know if you'll answer comments but is there a way to make realistic tree bark with clay foam I'm doing it for a costume ?
Hi, same idea. Just push the mold into the clay foam
@@karawalkerdesigns167 mold ???
@@Skylark9 yes, I used a silicon mold with the bark texture in the video
Great video!
VanOaksProps Thank you! 🎨
This can be used for a large tree too? Like a indoor swinging tree? How you can make it?
Yes you can coat a large tree with this method.
Wow! Looks amazing.

Ireland Reneau the bark stamp would definitely work well for cosplay if it were used with foam clay
Looks like I need to get me some Polygem! What is the shelf life once you open it? Will it dry out?
ItsFoamtastic! I love all their products. I’ve had material stay useable for over 2 years once opened. They do get a little stiffer but still usable
