This is something i have noticed, especially in American shows. For example in John Oliver's they clap so often and in the middle of sentences that he raises his voice to get through, even screams i would say. Very odd, it seems much more reasonable to wait for the end, it's more respectful if not anything else.
John Oliver show is comedy, there's jokes as his talking about the topic and ppl react immediately of course, they don't wait to laugh at the end, that's just weird lol.
So you are talking and people start clapping and shouting in the middle of your sentence, and you raise your voice cause you haven't finished....Logic. I don't know from which planet they send these excuses but as in stand up comedy, the comedians know the pressure and the risks, he wants the laugh, that's the purpose imo.
Lol..as long as the reaction is positive then I don't think it's rude. People clapping & laughing shows support to the comedian, it's awkward when it's completely quiet don't you think? It is a show, entertainment. Not exactly a class/school, where that kind of thing would be rude.
She does the Blockbusters, and then She does great films that matter. Always great roles. Always a great actress. She got my admiration after seeing ‘The Whistleblower’
Shes actually really attractive, like it's not just her looks but her traits. Like the way she speaks, the joy in her face when she laughs. She's behaves cute
So this is the interview where Stephen's crush on Rachel started. So cute. I especially loved how Stephen admitted it to Daniel Craig on a subsequent show.
It happened to me. I lived in Scotland for a year and I never took on, or faked, a Scottish accent, but I definitely moderated my American accent without knowing it. I had one person guessed me as South African.
Aww, I knew he had a crush on her from his James Franco and Jane Fonda interviews but it was pretty obvious Rachel liked him too. They were really cute around each other.
@@kfcfan She was rich on her own 6 years before She met her husband, She was an Oscar winner in 2006 and just that film's worldwide gross was $82,466,670, She has been in many great movies
Man, another actress approaching 50 who could easily pass for 35 : if she's had work done, the surgeon should be taking a curtain call of his own. Natural and spontaneous and far more attractive than she appears in most of the roles I've seen her play onscreen - bravo, Ms Weisz, bravo.
I met an American in Italy, once, when I was trying to get some directions. She’d been in Italy so long that her Italian was excellent, but when she switched to English after hearing our stumbling attempts at Italian, her English started with a thick Italian accent. But as she continued speaking, it went to only a slight Italian accent. That last bit of accent never left while she gave us directions and chatted with us in her native language.
I just realized her accent is EVERYWHERE?!?! Like, I hear British, of course, but also some American, and something else? That's so adorable, I love her!
It may be a 'cultural thing' now, but to clap during a performance wasn't standard behavior. Sadly, it may be the norm now. I find clapping during a play distracting, and certainly wouldn't do it.
That’s not a new thing, that’s actually a very old thing. Raucous behavior in the theater was pretty common up through the 20’s and 30’s, but stopped when ‘talkies’ became a thing. It sorta radiated out into live theater as well.
She keeps holding the mug and almost drinking it but not actually doing so. I can tell she's extremely nervous and anxious. She's also consciously working hard to not let her hands stay still or it will reveal her quivering.
It's actually proven that Britain is very classist, and it is hard for a Brit to be given acting opportunities if they aren't from a middle-class background, with a posh accent, privately-educated etc.
I had the biggest crush on her when I first saw her in The Mummy
She was stunning in that movie.
Absolutely :)
She's still Stunning now
She's a beautiful woman.
How about her in enemy at the gates HMM?
Everyone seems to forget her atomic role in Constantine: the movie. She is a fabulous actor.
Actress
@@guilhermemaia4814 Technically she is both.
Even in The Mummy 1 and 2
@@guilhermemaia4814 I think the same thing every time a person calls a female actress an actor but I've noticed even the actresses themselves have a tendency to refer to themselves as actors.
My favorite movie she was awesome in it along side Keanu. Great flick!
That moment @ 1:40 when she realizes he subtly double complimented her, in looks and talent :-)
Classy, from both of them
+Gabriel Victor
Well, more subtle than the usual "you look hot tonight", "you're so gorgeous", "you're so pretty", etc
i dunno if that laugh was very classy "UHEUHEUEHEUHEU"
Ben Rujo
Ok, everything except the laugh then =)
Ben Rujo HOT
The laugh is the best bit.
She has a fun laugh
For a very attractive lady i was not expecting that laugh... cool!
wasn't expectin it either
She's 46!
You serious???! No way 🙈God was on form 46 years ago! Talented and gorgeous!
funkmike she takes care of herself very well!!!
Josh Charlie i love this comment you're such a cutie
26
Right?! She’s older than Olivia Colman!
Hot girls with awkward laughs are my thing..... I don't know why.
Eduardo Armenta How about awkward girls with hot laughs?!
eduardo, u might wanna check out emmy rossum and maria menounos in that case
it grounds them with genuineness, making them approachable
damn, i think i have the same taste of perversion!
Ya that's how you end up dead
Rachel's personal slogan she read: "I'm not really a Bond Girl - I just play one in real life."
Colbert you smooth operator
Is it just me, or could she have played Jackie Kennedy?
She actually was the first choice for that role!
Daniel Victor
And what happened?
Yes

Colbert mentioned somewhere else that he thought Rachel was attractive, so I was interested in seeing whether he acted differently in this interview... Yup, you can tell that he finds her attractive, haha
and that goes the other way as well!
do you remember when he mentioned that? Like in which video or what he said about her?
FVNT0M IIX It was an interview with Jane Fonda, I think. :)
Niamh oh thanks :)
FVNT0M IIX No problem!
Colbert has a crush on her haha
I noticed that too... I think he is mesmerised by her
who don't?

you are hard on him...
just like he might have been to her
To me, the most beautiful actress in Holllywood.
Stephen is totally smitten. I can almost hear his tone of voice different a bit lower.
He is willing to risk it
I never seen him hug someone so quickly in the end lol
😂 He's admitted he has a Rachel Weisz problem to Daniel Craig lol...great interview btw if you want to look it up.
it is Rachel Weisz. I think we'd all be smitten.

Such a classy woman. Beautiful.
LousySob She is very classy! Well, except for her laugh, but that's okay with me ☺️
She is LITERALLY a goddess.
LITERALLY something that doesn't exist?
You should look up the word 'literally' in the dictionary because you literally don't know what it means
Xena: Destroyer of Nations I think you mean figuratively .... Maybe
Xena: Destroyer of Nations that man laugh though, and huge male hands!
Hooked On Phonics didn’t work for you.

To think Daniel Craig goes home to that laugh.
who cares
I smell some jealousy..
Some? Lol
He is James Bond after all.
And she goes home to his wrinkly ass face, it's a lose lose tbh hahaha
I've never seen Colbert lean is for a kiss at the end of an interview with any female guest
They made it a thing in the beginning
i would really like to know if there was any banter between colbert and his wife...
Yow
taking a page out of fergusons book maybe.. that guy was great with women!
She is such an under rated actor. She should get more recognition for talent.
No she shouldn’t she can’t act
She isn't underrated and does get recognition. She just doesn't go out looking for attention like American celebrities to stay relevant.
@Love
True
"American audience can be vocal about how they feel about the play." What a lovely way to say bats*** crazy LOL
So this is the interview where Stephen's crush on Rachel started. So cute. I especially loved how Stephen admitted it to Daniel Craig on a subsequent show.
She's so awkward on late night shows I love it hahaha
Her husband admitted that it was because she had a crush on him
Beautiful from start to finish.. James Bond is the luckiest man on earth
Damn she's still a babe.
She's still retained her British accent for the most part, but the American is bleeding through strongly on some words..
Her pronunciation of yes...and she said "often times" when Brits and Australians just say "often"
"nevah! ... never"
Rachel weisz is so beautiful I lose my mind
She was so good in Bourne. When the scientist starts shooting up the lab. Her terror telling others to "Shhh Shhhhh" was so good.
I loved her in The Mummy.
me too haha, the mummy and Constantine she is lovely
I love her .
Her actual accent seems to be a mix of British and New York now
Which is interesting
makes total sence since she is British and is staying in New York

Rachel is so flustered around Stephen and it's adorable!
“thank you, HEHEHEHEHEHEE!!”
Her hand movements and facial expressions from 1:08-1:16 😂
Your hand movements on my lap would make me very happy. 😏
What does it mean? Was she excited?
Beauty, slight awkwardness, and inviting body language...
Yeah, I’m still crazy about her.
Man, she is gorgeous. Then again, it takes someone *REALLY* special to get James Bond to become a family man.
she is married to bond.. james bond
Kajanan Sriharan yes sir ... they .. they are the same person
So that makes her the only Bond girl to not have appeared in a James Bond movie.
She does actually look like a bond girl.. It was horrible circumstances but I'm glad they found love.
So she is rich.

This woman ages like a fine wine. Thank god for Rachel Weisz!
She was a dime back in Mummy

You're so British.
She is such a talented woman and I enjoy her work tremendously!
her laugh is deeper than all the talking i've done in 26 years combined. glorious.

Rachel Weisz is one of the most attractive women ever.

she looks almost the same as she did in the movie runaway jury (2003) great movie!
Rachel Weisz is a babe

She keeps holding the mug and almost drinking it but not actually doing so. I can tell she's extremely nervous and anxious. She's also consciously working hard to not let her hands stay still or it will reveal her quivering.
The fact that they have the audacity to remake The Mummy without her is unfathomable to me...
I can't believe how many internationally-famed British performers are Oxbridge educated. Another one from Trinity.
bring it on Oxford, Cambridge, and ?!

why? Britain's very classist

2:17 2:19 2:23 are we still talking about the audiences tho?
the title to the video is a bit misleading... do they ever mention her accent? Or is it simply a comment on the video?
She is so beautiful.
She was great in the lobster as well. One of my favorite actors
I cant wait to see her in a comedy movie with that laugh, that will be great!!
Ive noticed her do this a few times, she bows her head sometimes when she shakes peoples hands, Its adorable.
Rachel Weisz is a direct combination of Katie Holmes and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Jason Barnes she does look like mix
Jason Barnes Much hotter than both.
