Hi Pete and great to see you got that video edited this weekend! And a great review it is, too. I really enjoy the narrative you put over the visuals, I think it really adds to the production and is edited like a pro! Cool that you covered so much, all the different surfaces, tyres, speed test and the TT02 comparison. I totally concur with your findings, and of course, thanks so much for the mention and link, much appreciated my friend. Oh, and who would have thought that a propshaft upgrade would add 10% to the top speed! But with the stock one hitting the chassis, it all makes sense. Nice one, matey, have a smashing Sunday! :O)
Hiya matey. Yeah I like this type of video but they do take an age to edit as you know. I really wish I'd put in that metal prop shaft when I built this because you need to take so much of it apart to change it. It's a real faff compared to the TT-02. Oh yeah your video still comes up top of the search if you search TT-01 vs TT-02. A useful guide you and Rob did. I'm super jealous of all the time you'll have to yourself now but you deserve it and I'll get there eventually. I've always got a load of videos in my head that I want to do but there's never enough time. Also all the builds and mods. So has the concept of the weekend gone out of the window for you now? Hope you had a great one anyway. We went to the Purbecks which are cliffs and hills by the sea and walked a few miles followed by a pint in possibly the best beer garden in Dorset. Thanks for your great comments as ever mate. Take it easy 😎
Hiya Carmine. Yeah if you've got a nice flat spot to run it on then a brushless one would be just the ticket. Thanks for your comments mate. Have you moved into your new accommodation now? Hope all is well.
I can't wait!! Yes, thanks, moved in, but still setting up my workshop. Plus I'm delayed because now my Band wants to do a couple of those Collaboration Music Videos! Have you seen any? I have to put my OLD mug on a Music Video!! 😲😲😲
Very fun nd I enjoyed seeing it run all over the place! I have the Buggyra truck on my wishlist of things to get! It looks like a lot of fun drifting it around on the asphalt but also a good bit of fun on the gold course!!
Hiya Addam. Oh yeah that Buggyra truck looks cool. A lot of stickers to do! Anyway yes I've had fun with this in various locations. It was surprising how well it did on the grass. Many thanks indeed for watching and your comments my friend 😁
Haha yes I don't really get why you'd get an RC kit and leave it as a static model. These need to be driven and preferably quite quickly. It's a great little truck this and the body didn't get too damaged in the roll overs. Many thanks for your great comments 😀
Great video, my first Tamiya, build it watching tv, TT 1 E on a coffee table, i spared the MAN Cab and body, and put a F150 body from a yard sale, smashed that chassis on gravel , even beat a buddy whit some traxxas thingie
Hi there. Yeah it's a fun little road chassis this and handles pretty well. Good idea to have a basher body. I had an old car shell for this and used it in a TT-01 speed challenge last year. Many thanks indeed for watching and your comments. Much appreciated 😁👍
Hi there. Oh no it's all me on the camera. I find it easier really because I know which way I'm going to steer it next. I do sometimes video cars that are being driven by someone else but I never know where they are going next. Many thanks indeed for your great comments 😁
Wow, that's a long way to go to get a kit! Would love to go to Japan and hopefully will make it one day. Hope you enjoy building the truck. It's a nice kit. Thanks for watching 😁👍👍
Hiya Derek. Many thanks mate. This speed meter seems to have been reliable despite falling off various cars at speed. Is your problem that your cars are doing under 1mph? 🤔
Hi Pete, I hope you’re keeping well. A great review, along with hits and tips for getting the very best from the car. I was hearing that rattle noise, which I sometime hear on my TT-02 Audi. I think the prop shaft is the culprit. I got a Yeah Racing steering upgrade for my TT-02, which has help the steering immensely. I love your speed demon approach, if in doubt, still a brushless system in it 😂🤣😂 great video my friend. Great shout out for Peter Smith and Mark Bryan, awesome fellows! Take care and best wishes to you and the family 😉😁😊
Hiya John. Oh yes that plastic prop shaft is rubbish really especially with the brushless set. I wish I'd put it in from the start as it's a faff to change it on this chassis. I did put a steering upgrade on my TT-02 buggy but that seems to have play in it too. It's ok for what I'm doing though. Many thanks for your support as ever my friend. Best wishes to you and yours 😁
Great video Pete. Very informative and fun to watch. Always enjoy the comedy you naturally put in your narratives 👍🏼 The truck looks great and this video is very helpful to understand more about this release. Cheers
Hiya Damian. Many thanks mate. As previously discussed these vids take a while to get together so great to have positive feedback. It was good fun to try this truck at the golf course as off road is my thing really. Cheers for watching and take it easy my friend 😀
Goes really well and looks cool! And being a car park runner I know only too well about the stones, every time I take out a buggy I collect a small handful, but so annoying when they get in the pinion and spur and strip em 🤬 thanks for your upload 👍🙏🐱
Oh yes the collected debris is a bit of a pain. The pinion and spur are fairly well sealed and were ok on this but some dust had got into the bevel gears at the back. Many thanks indeed for watching and commenting. Much appreciated 😁
Hi there. It just had the ones that came with the kit. Can't remember what those were. When this became my speed run car it had a 25t pinion and 55t spur 👍
You’ve probably figured it out already, but you’re better off ditching the stock suspension and getting either YeahRacing or TRF suspension - both have different lengths and come with a variety of parts meaning not only can you increase your ride height (eg 55mm compared to 50mm) you can use different types of oil and parts that go inside the suspension to aid with compression and damping. The TT01e has a better steering geometry - We have a ‘Tamiya class’ at my local club (out door asphalt) and as far as I know everyone uses the 01e chassis purely for this reason alone.
That's great info thanks. I don't run this one too often but I'm going to enter it into the Poor Boys RC TT-01 / TT-02 speed challenge. I'm not going to be a serious competitor but I'll see how it is on 3s. Many thanks again for your feedback 😁👍👍
It's hard to keep up with the people who've watched my videos but I think you have in the past but I don't know if you saw my super hot shot video with a 4600 in it I have to run it again because my radio battery power was low and I was having troubles controlling it.
Oh yeah a chassis cover is always a good idea. These do tend to collect everything they drive over. Many thanks indeed for watching and your comments 😀

I've wanted one of these Racing Trucks for a long time... Your Brushless run just clinched it!!
Awesome, Mate! 👍👍

Lovely gift from Peter and a really nice test.
Hi there. Yeah Pete is a top bloke for sure. Many thanks for watching and commenting 😁
Cool video Pete. This truck takes every kind of surface
Hi there. Yeah it did better than I thought off road. Many thanks indeed for watching and commenting 😁
Very fun nd I enjoyed seeing it run all over the place! I have the Buggyra truck on my wishlist of things to get! It looks like a lot of fun drifting it around on the asphalt but also a good bit of fun on the gold course!!

Brilliant Video one of your best
That's very kind thank you, much appreciated 😁
I can hear the tears hitting the floor now from hundreds of tamiya shelf queen owners 🤣🤣..it took it really well Pete... Excellent video mate...👍🇬🇧😎🍺
😭🤣 👍
LET THEM CRY!! These are for fun! 😁

Made me chuckle. xD
Another great video. Thanks Pete 👍
Many thanks indeed for your great feedback. Much appreciated 😁
Great comparison Pete! Really nice video
Many thanks indeed for your great feedback. Very much appreciated as always 😁
Cool footage Pete 👍
Hiya Pete. Thanks mate. I just saw your email and I'll reply over there in a bit. Really sorry about that sad news.
WHOA! This car looks like a real keeper Pete awesome job on the review and testing too👍👍👍👍
Hi there. Yeah it's a good looking little truck and it goes like a rocket. Many thanks for your great feedback as ever. Best wishes 😃
What a lovely truck mate, that thing screams with that 4600kv motor. Bloody epic mate! 👌
Hi there. Oh yes the poor tyres didn't stand a chance! Many thanks indeed for your great comments 😀

Great vid Pete , I assumed you had a camera assistant!!! Really like the look of these trucks too .
Hi there. Oh no it's all me on the camera. I find it easier really because I know which way I'm going to steer it next. I do sometimes video cars that are being driven by someone else but I never know where they are going next. Many thanks indeed for your great comments 😁
I flew to Japan an picked up this kit I didn’t start building it yet can wait!!
Wow, that's a long way to go to get a kit! Would love to go to Japan and hopefully will make it one day. Hope you enjoy building the truck. It's a nice kit. Thanks for watching 😁👍👍
These are such great fun 😎🏁
Yeah I've had a good time running this little pocket rocket. Many thanks for your comments Adam 😁
Good review Pete. I gave up the "obligatory speed runs". All the meters I bought were faulty and never registered a speed ???
Hiya Derek. Many thanks mate. This speed meter seems to have been reliable despite falling off various cars at speed. Is your problem that your cars are doing under 1mph? 🤔
@@PeteWylieRC Hmmm, could be .......... 😁
Great video Pete she surely runs well and some nice action shots of your nice driving skills. Best wishes and take care
Yeah it's a great little truck. Many thanks indeed for your kind feedback. Much appreciated. Best wishes to you 😁
Cool drifting buddy, truck looking great 👍
Many thanks indeed. Much appreciated 👍

@@PeteWylieRC It was very well produced which I have an ever growing appreciation for knowing the effort involved 👍🏼

awesome build. Which pinion/spur combination did you use?
Hi there. It just had the ones that came with the kit. Can't remember what those were. When this became my speed run car it had a 25t pinion and 55t spur 👍
Thanks for this Video !!!
Please, can you share what kind of wheels you have on the Truck ??
From which company ? - thanks !!
Hi there. Do you mean the white ones? They were just cheap Chinese ones from eBay. They are a copy of the Tamiya rally block tyres.
I didn't see that particular video but I will look it up later. Oh yeah the radios get a bit erratic when the batteries are low.
Good vídeo and good chanel!!
Many thanks indeed 🙂
You have the 4,600 system like I do. My Castle Creation is in my super hot shot what about this one?
Hi Brad. This is a Hobbywing Razer Ten combo. It's nice and smooth and not too expensive. Many thanks for watching 😁
Can you use the TT02 with the truck shell ?
Hi there. Yeah the dimensions are the same so it should fit the TT-02 just fine 👍
Seeeee thats why the Landfreeder quad track has a chasses cover!!! 😬
Oh yeah a chassis cover is always a good idea. These do tend to collect everything they drive over. Many thanks indeed for watching and your comments 😀
