Superstar Harold Walker - You're My Latest Greatest Inspiration - 4/23/2015

In early 2015 I bought a 16 track recording setup to record what we were playing at the Tavern on Main with the North Texas All Stars. I really had no idea what I was doing, but I knew what we were doing was good and I wanted to capture some of it for posterity. The very first night I set it up was April 23, 2015 and it was completely overwhelming. I had to manage the PA and the recording, all while trying to play along with the band at the same time. And to top it off Harold Walker was our guest star that night, and he dug out an old Teddy Pendergrass tune that we had never played together. Thankfully, I was able to ride the coat tails of David Brashier, David Burns, and Carl Bush because in the midst of my meltdown I began to hear something magical happening. I could only hope that I had somehow managed to capture it all in this, my first night of recording. I did, and it still moves me to listen to it. Enjoy.
