Your patterns are beautiful. I'm new to macrame and it would be so helpful if you would share the length of the strings that you are using.
All the cord lengths are at the beginning of each video segment for that project.
@kathleengarrity1221 So does that mean that for the second one you are using 32 cords cut to 200cm which equals about 79 inches or 6 feet each because the cords your working with don't look nearly that long 🤔🤔🤔

Of all the macrame videos I have watch I haven’t seen any on how to keep these projects clean through the years!! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Clothing steamer, dust them, or wipe gently with a cloth. Most of these are 100% cotton.
Steam will met the glue. Dust gentle, bath in a large amount of corn meal, shake the corn meal and continue until the item is clean, smoke, cooking smells will cause the fabric to discolor, warm, not hot, water, Dawn dish soap will remove that.
@@robertablaine2086 I thought the steam would melt the glue at first, but it definitely does not! The steaming action isn't holding on the item for nearly long enough to melt the glue

When I finish a project I spray it with waterproofer spray like the stuff you spray your Suede shoes with or I've also used Scotchguard spray.
Especially if it is a plant holder & is hanging outdoors.
Protects from moisture/ dust & gives these wonderful creations more longevity....
but.... nothing lasts 4ever 🤗

He probado con fornio y se da bastante bien. He sacado tiras de algunos milimetros y estando verdes las manejo como hilos. De las hojas largas del fornio se pueden tener varios 'hilos". Y despues de secos teñirlos y usar con la técnica del macramé y la de cestería. En la isla debería darse muy bien la planta

Project 2: At what point did you add the extra long pieces at bottom that are shown in final picture? The cord measurements will not leave project
with that amount/length of cord. They appear to be about 2ft long. Did you use filler cord?

The designs are lovely. The free use of the hot glue gun doesn't sit with me at all, it feels at odd with the textiles. Could the cords be stitched together instead?

I'm really upset bcuz you don't say how many inches, or feet you need to cut to make the wrap scare knot. I've already wasted enough trying to figure out how many inches to cut.
