When you grow older, and realize how many rares you've scammed from little kids, you'll feel at least a small amount of guilt. I did. I now give away rare long spiked collars when i get the chance, and people almost always thank you for it. I recently gave out a green long collar. You don't earn any reward apart from happiness, and that's the reason i do it. It's devastating being scammed out of your favourite item. I once had a cami's frog, and it was scammed. In a six year old's mind, `promises` couldn't be broken at all. I was wrong. POOF went the item, and i was locked out. If you plan on scamming for a video, or a prank, PLEASE give the items back. People have worked very hard for them. I once spent about 2 hours on an adventure, i got a yellow long, and the next morning woke to my `friend` had deleted it. Don't share your info, and remember. Imagine how crushed I was when I lost a RIM HD, a black short, and many other rares to a scammer. I just got REALLY lucky on the forgotten desert and didn't really know my rares at the time. The HD was probably worth WAAAY more than what they had on trade. I was fairly new on animal jam too, and this was back when where people could accept your trade very quickly, and you couldn't think twice about it. I was never scammed again, but I quit Aj for at LEAST half a year. This is why you should NEVER trust a giveaway. Here are a few CLEAR signs of a scam: The person's account is PRETTY new and non member, they have a member "accomplice" who says they are trustworthy, the items are "too good to be true", like a black long, a headdress, etc. A few good ways to tell if an account is new if they don't have many achievements, are dressed in store bought items, or have a clear or barely furnished den with store bought items. Here are just a few tips from a fairly seasoned player. :D Edit: I'm not saying to avoid giveaways on animal jam in every way possible, I'm just telling you what's a scam and what may be legit. BUT if someone doesn't seem like a scam, that doesn't mean they aren't. Most REAL giveaways don't involve trust and may be buddy games or even whoever can type a phrase first or a fashion show. I never fall for a scam, luckily. One time I was at a person's den. They said "best trade wins this (good item)" But I said NOPE and went to the pillow room for something good to do.

My sis & I used to scam. We thought is was easy, & didn’t take that long. Eventually my sister got more & more greedy & didn’t want me to help anymore because she wanted it all for herself. She had stopped for a while, then she eventually traded up to a headdress. It was her dream item & she was super happy! But soon her old habit of scamming came back & she ended up taking a headdress. She traded it away for goods & soon I stopped helping her scam. It was bad, & it wasn’t good for us to be stealing so much, especially at a young age. Instead she would get new friends who scammed too, & they helped her. Once she had enough, she was playing around & went to a giveaway. Her headdress got scammed & she knew how it felt. She did scam more afterwards, but now she has stopped, now we both like to do real giveaways with a wheel, & it feels way better afterwards! No guilt, & no undying greed. I’m glad we both changed & thank you for listening to my story. Also please don’t scam.

I used to get scammed all of the time and it influenced me to well so I scammed a bunny who had a shadow set. She was crying and my guilt took over me. So I returned it with some goodies as well. But she declined saying I could keep the set if I never scammed again. And I haven't ever since. It's been 3 years scince I kept that promise. And I hv changed. I hope one day u will change. 😢

Here’s a story of how I got scammed and lost my double tail: So it’s honestly a really stupid scam and it’s really easy to avoid it. I went to someone’s fashion show at their den, and I won. The person told me to put a plushie on my list, so I did. Then, instead of trading the prize for my plushie, they traded it for my double tail that was also on my list. So, me being me, I glanced at the ‘prize’ (it was some stupid item) and accepted. AT THE LAST FREAKING MOMENT I REALIZED WHAT I HAD DONE. I traded my double tail away for a trash clothing item. The scammer had manipulated me into thinking I was trading my plushie but NOPE 🙃. Anyways so they went offline immediately after that, and I was left there feeling so freakin stupid. :p Moral of the story, check what item you are trading before accepting. P. S. I used this scam on someone else after that 😈; it is affective only about half the time tho so :p

I saw the bubble, I thought she was really trading. When she got off the 'trade', she said that Wolfie was first. I searched for the user in where I was, and I didn't see the username. I thought she left. The first time I traded her, she traded back. But when I saw the fake user (Wolfie) winning, I traded again and I traded my glider, hypno glasses, dizzy stars, double tail, etc. Then I thought she would trade back. I was wrong. She went. Someone saw it. She was very nice. She said she would buy anything from the sapphire shop for me and traded the item I wanted. She really did that. I hope you will stop doing these things (scamming and hacking), and also next time, when you look back at these videos, you'll realize that what you did is wrong. Bye guys, stay safe. My sis & I used to scam. We thought is was easy, & didn’t take that long. Eventually my sister got more & more greedy & didn’t want me to help anymore because she wanted it all for herself. She had stopped for a while, then she eventually traded up to a headdress. It was her dream item & she was super happy! But soon her old habit of scamming came back & she ended up taking a headdress. She traded it away for goods & soon I stopped helping her scam. It was bad, & it wasn’t good for us to be stealing so much, especially at a young age. Instead she would get new friends who scammed too, & they helped her. Once she had enough, she was playing around & went to a giveaway. Her headdress got scammed & she knew how it felt. She did scam more afterwards, but now she has stopped, now we both like to do real giveaways with a wheel, & it feels way better afterwards! No guilt, & no undying greed. I’m glad we both changed & thank you for listening to my story. Also please don’t scam.

I used to get scammed all of the time and it influenced me to well so I scammed a bunny who had a shadow set. She was crying and my guilt took over me. So I returned it with some goodies as well. But she declined saying I could keep the set if I never scammed again. And I haven't ever since. It's been 3 years scince I kept that promise. And I hv changed. I hope one day u will change. 😢

Here’s a story of how I got scammed and lost my double tail:
So it’s honestly a really stupid scam and it’s really easy to avoid it. I went to someone’s fashion show at their den, and I won. The person told me to put a plushie on my list, so I did. Then, instead of trading the prize for my plushie, they traded it for my double tail that was also on my list. So, me being me, I glanced at the ‘prize’ (it was some stupid item) and accepted. AT THE LAST FREAKING MOMENT I REALIZED WHAT I HAD DONE. I traded my double tail away for a trash clothing item. The scammer had manipulated me into thinking I was trading my plushie but NOPE 🙃. Anyways so they went offline immediately after that, and I was left there feeling so freakin stupid. :p
Moral of the story, check what item you are trading before accepting.
P. S. I used this scam on someone else after that 😈; it is affective only about half the time tho so :p

I saw the bubble, I thought she was really trading. When she got off the 'trade', she said that Wolfie was first. I searched for the user in where I was, and I didn't see the username. I thought she left. The first time I traded her, she traded back. But when I saw the fake user (Wolfie) winning, I traded again and I traded my glider, hypno glasses, dizzy stars, double tail, etc. Then I thought she would trade back. I was wrong. She went. Someone saw it. She was very nice. She said she would buy anything from the sapphire shop for me and traded the item I wanted. She really did that. I hope you will stop doing these things (scamming and hacking), and also next time, when you look back at these videos, you'll realize that what you did is wrong. Bye guys, stay safe.
