    For the hyperchiller, the instructions say it’s 60sec of actively swirling for it to be cool. Ice cold is 3min of swirling (ie not requiring ice to drink it).
    If you don’t swirl it it’s 3min of it standing for it to be cool and I believe it’s 5min of it standing for it to be ice cold.
    In the instructions there’s even a whole chart for the type of beverage and the cooling time for it to be cool vs ice cold.
    The instructions also say to not pull it apart between uses. You rinse it out the same way you added the coffee, swirl and dump.
    I’m obsessed with it so I need people to know it’s legit and not a fail! Lol😅

    I heard popsicles and said, "yay!"
    If you find that ice made with boiled water tastes flat, you're correct. Boiling water makes it less acidic. (former chem nerd here)
    But, I'm sure adding any ingredient that's acidic would easily mitigate that.

      making coffee cubes for ice coffee is the only way to go!

  • @smurfmonster
    @smurfmonster 2 года назад +61

    For iced coffee you need to test the reusable ice cubes. Basically plastic cubes filled with water that freeze REALLY quick and stay frozen for AGES in an insulated cup and don’t water down your drink. Once you finish your drink you wash them in the sink just like you would wash a cup then place in the freezer (I don’t bother drying them I just put them in a plastic bag back in the freezer)
    They’re LIFE CHANGING! You’ll never go back to regular ice cubes ever again
    Top Tip - they’re GREAT in wine because they don’t dilute your drink 😉 You can thank me later 😁

    I bought a creami a few months ago and was sooo excited when you brought it out. I have become an expert in this machine now. Respin is your friend and the closer you are to the max fill line the harder it is for it to mix it properly. If you use alternative milks add a tiny bit of liquid on the respin and it makes it creamier and not as flaky. Love your hair btw.

    • @laurencorning55
      @laurencorning55 2 года назад +2

      Would it be possible as a lazy shortcut to use store bought ice cream to make it like a soft serve ice cream and add mix ins maybe?

    • @Catlandian
      @Catlandian 2 года назад +2

      @@laurencorning55 yep you definitely can. Depending on how frozen solid the ice cream is you might have to spin it first and then add the mixins but yeah you can definitely just use store bought with the mix in feature or I've done the store-bought ice cream with milk to make a decent milkshake. Just make sure your pieces aren't too large because it has some difficulty breaking them apart I find.

    The main difference between ice cream and gelato is that ice cream is usually 50-60 percent air, and gelato is usually 10-15 percent air so usually tastes richer and creamier.

    • @malinpeh
      @malinpeh 2 года назад

    I have used hyperchilers for a couple of years. I leave it in there for a few minutes, and shake it around. Then I pour it in a Yeti mug with a few ice cubes. That gives me an icy drink and the yeti keeps it so cold, it doesn't melt the ice cubes for a very long time, which means my coffee doesn't get diluted. It's way better than just pouring hot coffee over ice.

The balloons do work better if they are fully filled without dimples. Putting them into a bucket or container of water using a scooping motion as you drop them in really help fills them all the way. They close up super fast and can be used over and over. We don't find the magnets to hurt at all. Best part is that we dont have to clean up the balloon pieces all over the yard afterwards!

    I use my hyperchiller every single day. Usually multiple times a day. It’s the best! I do still pour over ice but it doesn’t dilute since the ice doesn’t melt.

    I'm so glad you tested the Creami! I knew you would love it especially with your nut allergy. We got ours last Christmas and we use it all the time.

    My mom made jello pops all the time 40 years ago. Ones out of pudding too. She had a whole jello cookbook. I’ve never seen one since then again.

    I have the Hyper Chiller. It def. takes a few minutes (I prefer VERY cold coffee) but so normally leave it for 5 min or so in the Hyper Chiller. 100% I love that it doesn’t dilute it, PLUS even putting ice into coffee still doesn’t cool it as quickly as the Hyper Chiller.
    You also don’t take it apart to clean it. You mentioned that in the video, but just saying that here too. You just pour water into the same place you put the coffee (or whatever) and then spill it out and pop it back in the freezer).

    I got the ninja creamy for Christmas this year and I absolutely love it! I love to get the Tillamook chocolate ice cream and make milkshakes with it, and now that I see how simple it is to make a sorbet I'm actually going to try it! They're ice cream recipes are pretty good for the most part, some can be a little Bland in my opinion so I like to add the mix-ins. Overall it's an amazing machine.

    I have the hyper chiller and I like to use it AND ice. So I’ll pour the hot coffee in the hyper chiller, and then pour that over ice, and because it’s colder it doesn’t melt the ice as quickly. Best of both worlds!

    I work for a hotel and we do ice sculptures every year. Clear ice is actually the hardest “color” too makes. The clear requires constant attention and stirring to release air out of the water in order to keep the water clear as the water freezes. Complicated lol

    We have this thing in our family, where we use crushed ice instead of cold water, when you make jello and then you whisk it (electric whisk) and it basically makes this spongy airy jello. You should definitely try that!

    We LOVE our creami❣
    quick note- the 'mound' in the middle is normal, some get a wee bit worried on the first few --- 90% time, you have to re-spin, for fruit 2x re-spin for bigger chunks
