This guy's right btw, his backdash into forward dash could be used to bait people mashing which is fun as hell, his install Drive is super fun for mobility and combos, and this one mixup I love is 236B-236C dash through them into back throw combo, he's so sick
Jubei is absolutely necessary because the alternative fast character is low tier. Also Jubei was just the only character that really clicked with me. You're right though, fuck 646 inputs. Those combos are satisfying once you get them down, but fuck 646 inputs.
It's actually really easy to do. The only practical usage of it is off the B input in the rekka, which puts you and the opponent in the air, and you have a lot of time to input it.
Jiyuna's influencer game is strong. All these CF vids got me to buy the game on a Steam sale. Still getting a feel for a character before hopping online, but man this game feels good
Jubei is fun on paper, but he kinda overloads on options. As you noted, Jiyuna, his combo structure changes quite a bit from install, and he's already hard to keep track of with his exagerrated inputs. I guess this is meant to convey just how powerful Jubei is (or used to be), with specials so strong they need super inputs to work, but it's not exactly an elegant solution. Personally, I prefer inputs to roughly convey their function or attack direction (236+button is either projectile or straightforward attack, 326+button being uppercuts/anti-air, stuff like that), and this doesn't do much in that regard. Still, if you ignore his combo trials, Jubei is actually incredibly fun to play around with, and has a wide range of combos for different skill levels.
Maybe it's just me but I'm a beginner at Blazblue and even then I found Jubei surprisingly easy, like yeah the inputs are hell on the first try but honestly once I got past that he's really easy to understand for me, with easy combos and even install combos being pretty ok to remember for me
@@The_Vible Some people are just savants with characters or they have played similar styles in other games. Some characters playstyles easily translate to other games.
Jiyuna, looking forward to that guide. I've really no idea what to start with learning bbcf, but jubei's definitely my main. I'm almost at the end of the combo trials, but it'd be nice to see how to approach learning the character.

just install, activate OD, then keep flying with 8D and never return. Throw a projectile while you are at it, the bouncing from his "rising justice" is unlimited.
The real cheat is the left-handed hitbox, man. You're gonna feel it real hard in these movement heavy Japanese air-dashers. The amount of movement inputs you have to make is hilarious in these, so I just use my right hand for the movement. Heck, I started that first on a god damn keyboard in GGX2R back then back when, because I just couldn't keep up with my left hand with that that game. Using your dominant hand for the thing that requires more precision and more actions is the way to go, imo. People are sleeping on the alternative layout, I say.
you can do the half circle backwards and then forward for his rekka's if you want forward back forward is just the shortcut. and it's less the input but it has a really wierd timing input where if you do it too fast or slow it just wont come out?
Doing combos with Jubei feels like playing a rhythm game because you do hard inputs while he slashes and kicks and you have to finish the input the moment he finishes his attack. I was watching you struggle during the stream and it looked to me like you were trying to do the inputs too fast. Take your time; do the inputs ahead of time. I main Jubei and sub Izayoi. I think Izayoi is harder to be honest.
I think the only problem with jubei is that he loses the normal D buttons on install. it's super weird. edit: his only hard unput is 6246C come on e.e RIP cat guide.
It's blazblue, they always try to be extra, to make each character feel unorthodox af. The Blazblue people love it, and I do agree that it has some charm to it, but it is definitely one of those things in anime fighters that casuals run away from.
@@rachetmarvel931 Don't get me wrong I'm a huge Blazblue fan been playing since Calamity Trigger, I do agree there's a couple of characters that are weird to play (like Arakune, Carl, etc) but to me Jubei feels unnatural with all these super inputs on regular special moves.
SUFFER!!! jk plz make a guide I love this character. My best friend named his cat Jubei when we first got introduced to this game years ago. R.I.P. Jubei miss you lil buddy.
Jubei in concept is pretty cool, I just don't like the way he feels from what little I played of him. There's already so many other characters I love in BBCF that it's not worth putting in the time into one that feels weird.
It wouldn't because when Jubei's on install and his rekka changes, one of the follow-ups is his usual 214B by doing 4B during the rekka, so he wouldn't launch. Although now I'm curious if the shortcut would actually work otherwise
612347A or 432169A basically you do a half circle starting forward or backward and you do a foward/backward jump to the end instead of a neutral to get it.
if you're on hitbox it's basically what the person above me said but it helps me to think of the last input as 8+A or whatever button it may be. so half circle forward/backward followed by simultaneous jump + button.
there's two ways to do that: 1. u buffer the input while you character is doing something else (ie: since bullet's dash cant be jump cancelled after like 4 frames, u can buffer 360B to get the standing command grab at the end of the dash). 2. there's actually no need to do 632147896 to get a 360 input. All it checks is that u got the four cardinal directions in a certain amount of time, not even the order matters (although this may vary depending on game and specific special). In most fighting games, jump squats are special cancellable so this means depending on the character/game u have quite some time to do this right. For example, u can input tager's grounded driver by doing 6321478A instead of 632147896A. Keep in mind that in this input u are only jumping on the last two directions (78) so u actually have plenty of time to press the button and actually get the right move.
I knew people called it the cheatbox but I didn't know it actually gives you cheat inputs. I might need to buy one whenever they go on sale again. Also Jubei is cool.
I love watching a learning from veterans inputs. Today I learned you can do 4124123689 and get a double 360 input. Or maybe that was jiyuna panicking on the snack box. Either way it's useful info
Curious what your thoughts are on the Snackbox after so many years on stick. I've been playing on stick for so long it seems like learning hitbox would just be annoying.
Jubei is necessary because
1) He's one of the most badass characters in fighting game history
2) he fast as fuck boiiii
3) schmixes
4) STAND UNRIVALED
Also child is engineer
5)hes's a cute kitty
Playing the character in real fights and doing trials are two different things. His mixups, speed and movment are just the most fun.
I like always getting max damage crouch combos vs him :)
Seems like a pain.

Yeah it's good for wakeup super or mid-combo, but I still use regular input for supers on reaction.
