I met Neil Diamond on 25th June 2011 and had a meal with him at the aviva stadium, it was brillant, love neil diamond since i was seven years. I asked him about this song and he told me that it was written for his son Jesse. Neil Diamond is a true gentleman.
Ahh Margaret I so regret not going home to see him play live. I’m so so glad that you’d a fantastic opportunity to actually meet Neil. Was he as quiet and polite as he seems to be in other interviews? Have you heard of the Joe Jackson interviews? They are done if the best interviews I heard of ND
Like a sweet symphony, all you need is the key. One of his best lines ever. Although the live version he recently released really does this song justice.
My grandson Jake & I dance to this everyday. He started preschool today & my heart is breaking. I miss him more than anything. He looks alot like this lil boy. Missing you Jakey! You & me gonna make it through! 💙🐘
Once again, Mr. Diamond's unique gift stuns us all. BEAUTIFULLY DONE. MR. D. Best wishes for many more years of making us all feel so good in a way that only you can.
You did a brilliant job making this. Am pretty sure this was the B-Side of Song Sung Blue. Remember asking my mum or dad to play it for me as I thought the title was hillarious. Sadly I all but forgot it after that.
The New York Times called him the " Jewish cowboy " - suits - but why some say the Jewish Elvis ? Elvis did not write his songs and Neil is no Rock'n Roller ... ?

I'm jealous and envious of you. I'm sure it was most pleasant experience - cherish it. Best of everything to you and yours
