    I have an Ecosport S Manual. With cruise control on highways at speeds between 87-99Kmph and with full load of passengers, I've managed to achieve 16-17 kmpl on highways. The best 3 cylinder NA engine this car had and continues even till date.

    Great blog. I think if you cover more about the car, it becomes interesting. Your XUV300 blog was one of the best for that car. Don't you use navigation? I guess ecosport at doesn't have android auto Apple carplay?

      Feedback well received Sir:) I will do better next time covering more about the car. The EcoSport has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (as its the 2018 model) but I know the entire route, so didn't use it:)

    Hey man. Saw your earlier review of the xuv and was thoroughly impressed. Had a quick question. Whats the actual fuel efficiency of this 1.5NA in its automatical guise on the highway? Especially when driven hard and red lining frequently like you did?

      Hi Pranav,
      Thanks for your question. Here is what I get typically with the EcoSport driving the way I did in the video:
      - City only: 7-8 kmpl
      - City + Highway: 9-10 kmpl
      - Highway only: 11-12.5 kmpl
      Driving Sanely on highway, shifting around 3k rpm: 14-15 kmpl

    Hi Buddy, I am looking for an suv with 5 members budget is till 12lac, 90% city travel with family, what car do you suggest safety is top priority followed by good after sales service, what car do you suggest?

      Hi Varudh,
      Thanks for your question. In today's market your two needs are at a bit of odds with each other:
      1. The most comfortable car for 5 (Creta/Seltos) is not the most safe.
      2. The safest car (XUV300) is not the most comfortable for 5.
      If I were in your shoes, I'd the new XUV700 MX3 over these two cars as it is the most spacious and will be quite safe (hopefully). It might not be the easiest to drive in the city though.
      My 2nd suggestion would be the Creta/Seltos if you plan to drive in the city mainly. You can probably rent a Harrier for longer trips and only do nearby trips in the Creta.
      Again, this is only my point of view. Please test drive these cars thoroughly before deciding. Hope this helps:)

      Hi,
      Is this a facelifted one or the pre-facelift. If it's the pre-facelift, I would not recommend it. A 5 year old DSG gearbox is a risk I wouldn't suggest you to take.
      However, if it is a facelift, you'll get a torque convertor which is quite reliable and you can easily own it for 3-5 years and have a trouble free experience.
      All the best for your purchase:)

      Hi,
      If you get one for a good price, 7-8.5 lacs, its a great deal. The other competitors in this price are the Swift and the Grand i10 Nios. Even the Magnite and the Kiger are ~10 lacs for the automatic trims.
      The EcoSport is a great deal compared to them.

    How much mileage you are getting?

    • @road_not_taken
      @road_not_taken  3 года назад +1

      Hi Madhu,
      I get between 8-9 kmpl in the city and between 13-15 on the highway depending on the way it's driven. The 1.5 petrol is quite thirsty.

      @@road_not_taken 13 to 15 is quite low! My ES though MT is around 17 to 17.5 mark on highways and around 12 in the city! BUt i guess it is the AT at work! Let me know if Iam right!

    • @road_not_taken
      @road_not_taken  3 года назад +2

      @@1thaShivaji Agree. There are two things at play here:
      1. Torque converter: It saps about 10% of fuel efficiency.
      2. My driving style: This is responsible for the rest of the loss in efficiency:)
