.005 - .007 is clanky on my GY6 125 that's why I always set .002-.003 as instructed by local motovloggers but I feel that it's too small. The also say that the factory tuning is .004-.007 which I'm finding very hard to believe since it's just too clanky when I go past .005. I'm tempted to try .003-.004 and see how it works. Also I always need to tune my air fuel mixture again every time I adjust valve latch.
@@pattayakamagra8325 .8 mm is too huge, and it's bigger than .10 mm, maybe you're referring to .08 mm perhaps?, if you converted that to inches that would be .003 - .004 inches which I mentioned above. It's been doing fine ever since. Never needed another adjustment ever since. You EX recommendation though .15-mm.2 mm (.006-.007) is where I get the clanking sound. The widest I can set mine is only .005 in (.127mm)
you abslolutly want an oil cooler thats the single best thing you can add to prolong the life of your motor. dont mess around with a small oil cooler get a big one those motors run hot to hot in my opinion. my runs 200 on the hottest day wide open throttle for 20 to 30 miles at a time.i have a 24 row cooler

No problem. Yes, on your 171cc it would be fine at .005 -.007. Yes sir, adjusting your valves is very easy, just make sure that piston is at the top of the engine.

Dont start, just I can hear the sound of the starter spining, when I remove the pipeline of the gas from the carburator, and try some few times to start, so than start, and I put the pipeline again and run, after some hours of run, start normally, but when I let the bike overnight (long time off) , the problem back. I already changes the spark, the starter, the clutch and still the same problem, tomorrow I will change the carburator

Young man, I don't know everything... but i would set yours at 0.004/0.006 and see if there is any chatter. I haven't done a lot with cams, I did like my A14 for very quick acceleration, but fell off at the top end. I have an A11 (I think) in the 180cc engine now, and just haven't run it enough. Next summer throwing in my Taida cam, so I will see.

If you are absolutely certain that you are getting no air leaks, I really would swap the carb. just to see if it will make a difference. What kind of filtering system is on this ATV? I imagine it is ridden in dirty or sandy conditions?

Hey bro, not sure that you would need to do a clearance so soon again. If they are moving, I would replace the rocker arms and possibly the cradle. What are you tigtening the rocker cradle nuts too? Torque specs?

.003 -.004 is where it should feel pretty good.
IN 0.8mm to 0.10mm EX 0.15mm to 0.20mm . This engine is build on metric system so use Metric measurement instead of Imperial . . more easy :)

I would check what they are right now. Both at 0.1 I have never heard of. I would test out .003 and .005 on exhaust, listen for clicking again.

Yeah, you could check on the health of your gasket. If it is super flat you might want to replace. The valve sizes should be on your scooter.

Let me know what happens. Kymco should be better than that, but it is a scooter. All need valve adjustments pretty regularly.

Who I learned from, taught me should be .002 between the two. .004-.006 is common. My engine ,and what I'm doing, isn't common.
You never added how to set time, you only set and seat valves.
Video is the ending of a series where I built a 180cc engine. I already showed how to set the timing, that is why I referenced it in this video.
