- Lady Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary Mountbatten-Windsor is the eldest daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. The now-17 year old has an interesting life, but is somewhat more insulated from the media and tedious royal duties than her cousins who are in the immediate line of succession. The granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth is 15th in line to the throne, and as such likely does not consider rule of the kingdom to be a future job possibility. She spent a lot of time with Grandpa Edinburgh, he was delighted with her interest in carriage driving, she watched him in events early on and then had lessons, sometimes from him. He watched her progress in events with great pleasure. He was so proud that one of his grandchildren was enjoying his favourite sport once he had to give up polo. She is developing into a lovely, kind and quietly determined young lady.

Edward and Sophie caused a huge scandal not long after they were married and it was all over the press for months and months, i was much worse than what harry and his wife have done

I admire Prince Edward and Countess Sophie for choosing not to make their children HRH's when they were born, plus for dating so long before getting engaged and married. They seem very level-headed about many issues, which has made their marriage and their core family strong. Respect!

she is not the favourite, the press have said that about every grandchild, our Queen has spent summers at balmoral with all her grandchildren

Lady Louise is such a beautiful young lady. She reminds me of my own Granddaughter with her very delicate 'peaches & cream' skin too. I love that she enjoys time with her Grandparents and especially doing the chariot racing like her Grandfather, that would have been such a special bond they both had.

Of al the Queen's children, I like Prince Edward the best. He seems to be the most intelligent and has a wonderful family. Wish he would have contnued with his Crown and Country documentary videos. He is very talented.

Edward and Sophie, like his sister Princess Anne, just get on with the job, working with their patronages, no self promotion. The Princess Royal, (Anne), has, I understand, over 600 patronages travels across London on the Tube, unrecognised, and can visit three or four a day if the travel time allows it. She refused royal titles for her children, as she said they would have to work for themselves, and Edward and Sophie did the same. HMTQ insisted they be Lady and Viscount, as they would probably need to have patronages, and titles to help to raise the profile of the organisations they support. They are a lovely family. 👏👑🇬🇧

Prince Harry really should have taken a leaf out of Edward's book, he proves that you can raise your kids out of the spotlight and give them a relatively normal childhood. Louise was so cute when she was bridesmaid at Kate's wedding.
Yes! The kids seem normal and mostly out of the spotlight and yet are still royal enough to do their part for the queen and not turn it into trash or something to be torn apart later. Sophie and Edward should really really be commended for doing such a great job at parenting, staying classy but being very normal. You just can't not like them.

You are correct to a certain extent but you can tell a lot about a person by their outward appearance, imo. I've certainly learned a lot about Meghan and Harry simply by observing their facial expressions.

Lady Louise is a very mature young lady. Her grandfather was special to her because of her abilities around horses and it was special to her and Philip that she inherited his 2 horses and carriage. The Queen also sees Lady Louise's calmness and confidence as a great balance to other royals and their eccentricities!

Just love Edward and Sophie and their children. One successful marriage of the queens children that must give her pride. Love the royal family with the exception of Meghan and sadly now Harry they are a disgrace.
