Thanks for posting your videos. I have fond memories of visiting Wenatchee and saw a few trains but I wasn't able to get any decent video. I'm really impressed by your stuff from Albus too..such a stunning location
Too bad the software messed with the hard work you do to bring us such a great video. Sure appreciate everything you do. Keep them coming and we will enjoy watching everyone of them. Thank you again for bringing us a beautiful video from an awesome state!
Thank You Valerie. Yeah, disappointed with the editing software. It did the same thing last year as soon as the newer version was released. All glitch at the exact 22:22 mark. I fixed it last year by keeping the videos shorter than that. Finally got the newer version and everything was fine until this years version was released. Same issue. 😊 Purchased new (different brand) and much better editor now. See how it works. Thanks for watching. 😊
When the Great Northern operated out of Wenatchee in the 60s they had a beautiful depot, I beleive, in this open area you see here. I was a brakeman for the GN in 1966 and we would take our train from Appleyard and head for Oroville on the, then, W-O line. Things have surely changed over the last 56 years. We had one 600 class GP-9 loco for our trip. I had the choice of being the head brakeman or the flagman. I preferred the flagman posiiton as I had the pleasure of riding in the caboose.
Thanks Robert. Really appreciate your comment. Yes, this location was the the site of the depot, now a parking lot 😕. I've only seen pictures online of the depot. It looked like a really nice building. Thanks for you recollections of the W-O. The line to Oroville is now operated by the Cascade & Columbia River Railroad. The Junction and signal there is still referred to as the W-O. Thanks so much for watching and your input. 😊
Hello Robert, I echo Kevin's remarks. As a model railroader, I chose the W-O Branch to model and started watching Kevin's videos a couple of years ago. I appreciate the videos and comments like yours, which is the first I've seen from a W-O trainman. Just an FYI for you, I purchased a great book on the branch called "The Rusty Dusty- Great Northern's Wenatchee-Oroville Branch" to help in my efforts. Chapter 13 provides a tour of the W-O line, and discusses daily operations, the chapter being written by John Langlot (brakeman and co-auther of the book), who worked the line in the 1960s. So, you may remember him as a coworker. I just wanted to pass this info along to you. The book's IBSN is 978-0-9961225-2-8, published in 2016. I got it on the Internet. Thank you again for posting. Nice! what time does the Z come through?
What is wrong with your camera?. Why do they keep jumping? That just ruins the excellent videos that you produce.
